I highly recommend this hair salon for anyone that’s looking for quality hair cuts in the Midtown West area! I’m so glad I came across Gugush Hair salon, Gulya was extremely personable and knew what would look best on me right away. The price is also very reasonable, and I will be returning for my next haircut for sure!!

Highly recommend GUGUSH Hair Studio! Stylist and Owner Julia is absolutely the best! Good quality! Good value! Professional! She got all! Recently, I was just searching for a way to cover my gray hair or maybe a new look😊 I need something different and fresh that would gain me some confidence😎. I found Julia online, after read her reviews I decide to visit her. I told her some of my worries and what I was thinking about my hair, and she knew exactly what to do. I've just feel that I trust her 100% even I've never had her before. With her magical hands, after two and half hours later, she did balayage, haircut and styling, she turned me into a brand new look😎. I absolutely love it! love it!!! the color and the style! There were no damage to my hair and I got so many compliments on my hair. I can’t wait to go back to her.😊 She is caring, patient, kind with tremendous skills. Gulya is amazing! I came in for a perm. The appointment booking process was smooth, and Gulya was flexible in finding a time that worked for me. My visit started with a short chat about what I wanted and what the best path forward was given the hair I have. Seems so simple, but I never had a hairdresser consult with me so candidly before like that - and it was very appreciated. The rest of the experience was professional and the results were beautiful. Would definitely recommend and come again!

I've been going to this salon for over a year since my last hairdresser moved. They do a wonderful job. I was able to send my colors over to them when I switched salons and they matched the color perfectly. The staff are friendly and the prices are really reasonable for it being NYC.

I have been here twice. The first time, the stylist did a nice job but he came out 20 minutes late from eating lunch. I get that people deserve lunch but let me know so I too can come later and not just sit there for a half hour. Today was the second time and my root touch up was not good. The color did not match and she fixed it by putting more dye on WET hair. I've never seen that done before, nor has anyone I have spoken to about it. Then the woman runs off to go back to her kindle reading or something when I was leaving. It's just unprofessional and today was def not worth 100. No one even greets you when you come in. I won't be back.

Great service and and quality!!!! The shops owner kindly referred me. Julian did my hair and he was amazing! My first haircut since the pandemic and I'm glad it was here. Nice friendly conversations and he was very informative & helpful with my hair care questions. Highly recommend.

I love this place. Yes it can be a little pricey but given the neighborhood, attention to detail and treatment, I'd say it's well worth the price. I swear the boss here has magic hands, only person I trust to cut my hair because of how fast it grows - it is just insane!!!

Trim was fine but the service wasn't good for the price. I scheduled an appointment with Gulya, but she started working on another customer while my hair was being washed. They tried to pass me to another stylist and I declined since I booked with a specific person. Gulya told me she thought it would be okay for me to go with another stylist because I was a new customer (?). When it came to the blowdry, she passed me off to yet another person in the salon who didn't seem like a stylist, to go talk on the phone. Also shampoo was a bit aggressive and smelled weird. Won't be coming back.

I've been coming here for years now. They're very reliable, clean, nice, and professional. Over the years I have worked with four of their stylists and they're consistently great at cut, color and keratin. consistently and affordably priced relative to the neighborhood for similar services. Always a pleasant experience, good hair results, and affordably priced

Gulya is a Miracle worker with hair! She did a beautiful balayage, cut and toner just how I wanted it! Highly recommend her!

Service, look, and conversation were beyond excellent! I had the pleasure of having time with Julian! He helped me pick a hairstyle that works according to my face shape. He was amazing and I highly recommend coming here - not only did i love my hair but it did not break the bank either! Super affordable plus great service - what else do you want!!

This place is AWESOME!!! Nando is brilliant! He gave me the best blowout I've ever had, hands down. Everyone I encountered at the salon was super friendly. Great price, great location, and great experience. Plus they were super accommodating. I was in town for business and I needed a blowout early so I could make a 9:00 am meeting. Most salons are not open that early. They accommodated me w/an 8:00 am appointment (for an additional fee which I was very happy to pay). I can't wait to get back to NY because this is where I'll be getting my hair done!

I was in search for a new colorist and passed by Gugush so I decided to inquire. When I sent an email Julia the owner suggested I stop by for a consult. I felt confident in her experience and knowledge by speaking to her. She did a fab job and I'm thrilled. It's a homey friendly atmosphere which is very clean and I can't wait to try her for a cut.

This is a good salon - Julia (the owner) and Fernando are both very good- Monica, the shampoo person, is excellent - one of the great shampoos in New York City. The atmosphere is low key and friendly - and Covid rules are followed. I have been going since the onset and would recommend Gugush Hair Studio heartily - it is a neighborhood place, owned by a woman, and it opened during Covid. It is good to support new businesses, and I have my hair colored, blown and styled here. I have a blow dry once a week. Highly recommend. Unpretentious and friendly.
