Excellent restaurant, near the downtown square, great food & service, clean bathrooms. Not cheap, water is bottled and about $3.50 each, well worth the money for a nice meal. We had a large group, can't split bill so recommend one person just pays for it and have others reimburse.

Must stop here in Cozumel for us!!!! The pizza and baked break is insane cooked in a huge wood fired oven you can see when walking in! We come to Cozumel yearly and Guido's is always a spot we eat at once or twice while here in the island. If you love sangria this is some of the best I've ever had (not a wine drinker at all either) with freshly cut apples and other fruits in a large ceramic pitcher. Just outside is located the oceanfront view which has the most amazing sunsets on the island which I pictured for you. Ps Guido's is a little more upscale then your local taqueria so will be paying $80-100 for a nice meal for your family.

We went to Guido two days in a row. Great Italian food. Shrimp aglio pasta - excellent dish Garlic bread - crispy and delicious Sangria was too sweet for us but refreshing Shrimp Pizza was good but I prefer the pasta more. Love the ambience in the courtyard.

Google
Amazing food. The staff are like family for the regulars that visit. I visit every time I’m on the island. The goats and green salad accompanied by the lasagna is a fav, of course that quickly changes depending on the daily specials. The house made sangria is always a good choice as you soak up the oasis type atmosphere in the back.

Google
Modest storefront, lovely and spacious interior. We sat out in the garden area. I had the sweet potato ravioli and the tossed green salad. Both were fresh and delicious and the presentation was beautiful. There was lovely Italian music playing and not too loud. The bathroom was uncommonly nice. Our experience could not have been better.

Google
Everything about Guido's was amazing! Service, the drinks, appetizers, entres, and dessert. Had the garlic bread, grilled calamari for appetizers; ribeye, shrimp, scallops, spaghetti, and more. Dessert the chocolate mousse was a favorite along with the key lime pie. We went two days in a row because it is so good. This will be a must every time we visit the island!

Google
Outstanding food, service, and unbeatable atmosphere! We went our first night in town and had to go back again to try other dishes!

Google
Phenomenal food at a great price. Sit out on the patio if you can it's gorgeous out there. Service was excellent with very attentive staff.

Yelp
Never disappoints! If you're spending any time in Cozumel, the seafood and Mexican flair is always a winner, but this is a nice change of pace that incorporates locally caught fish into an Italian inspired menu. Service as always is top-notch and super attentive. The vibe of this restaurant is very laid-back European no rush - the epitome of La Dolce Vita. I was sad to find out that the old guard cat (I think it had been here almost 20 years!!) has passed, but his great great grandson has taken over guard in the garden! This is a Cozumel tradition that can be missed. Check it out and you will not be disappointed. Highly recommend sitting outdoors in the garden area.

Yelp
Our group of 16 came here 2 nights in a row. Between all of us we had everything on the menu and can say there is no bad choice. Amazing staff and beautiful indoor/outdoor seating. Get the sticky toffee pudding.

Yelp
We were here on a group of 5 for dinner on a Sunday night. My daughter and boyfriend came earlier to grab a table, we arrive at 6pm, it's already a full house. Super busy. The ambiance is great, food is nice, tasty. Drink is expensive. Service is good but a bit slow, i think they are under staffed. The dessert is great!

Yelp
This is the busiest restaurant in town, been there many times, great service, love the house made sangria. I've tried pizzas, pastas, octopus, tuna, their pasta is not great, soggy noodles, bland sauce, pizzas are just ok, octopus too chewy, tuna was good, but I did like their arugula salad!! I do like the service and atmosphere so I will keep going back there...

Yelp
We decided to return to guido's this year after two sub par experiences prior. Everything improved. The service was great, and the food was excellent. We started with the garlic bread and an appetizer that was a special. I cannot remember the exact name but they were croquettes. For an entree I had the wahoo medallions (also a special) and my husband had the sea scallops. The portions were large (we couldn't finish them), and the dishes themselves were great. We shared an espresso martini, and it was made properly. We will definitely return this trip.

Yelp
First time here. It won't be the last. Definitely a must try. The food the service and the atmosphere is great. Seems small but isn't. Lots of tables in the back.

Yelp
We come here every time we are on the island....finally a Caesar salad. I mean we are in Mexico...
google avatar

Mark L.

Yelp
When the waiter asked if we want one or two garlic bread, I figure it must be small. Then when you see it, it's huge! See photo. And then after we cut it up, it's hallow! So turned out like a naan than anything but crispy and delicious. Must try! Frutti de Mare - the ingredients are fresh. Expect a little bit more al dente. Mushroom pasta in special menu - That was the best flavor pasta of the night. If they offer it again, must try. The pricing of this restaurant is like US restaurant pricing.

Yelp
Been to Cozumel twice now and I've been to Guido's both times. I love me some Mexican food but sometimes when you're there for a few days you just want something different. Guidos is Italian and everything is so yummy. I've seen other reviews where they say service isn't good but both times I've gone it's been great. I did notice that the owner was there this last time though ;-) I can't say enough about how good the food is though. I'm sure we'll go back to Cozumel another time and Guidos's will definitely be on our list!

Yelp
Amazing restaurant. So unexpected frankly. Yes they have a great lasagna but this is sooo much more. The integration of local caught seafood and pastas is outstanding. Started with an incredible carpaccio of local fish with an olive oil tapenade topping and perfectly pickled veggies. Also got the beet salad, the best we've ever had. For mains we had the ravioli stuffed with carmelized onions & sweet potato and ricotta topped with smoked almonds. Unique and delicious. I had the Frutti de Mare a selection of perfectly cooked scallops, octopus and shrimp over black squid ink pasta and the sauce was fantastic. Finished with the Cozumel Key Lime pie for her and a Havana 7yr rum for me. Double of course. We will be making this one of our regulars.

Yelp
The ambiance was great. You walked in and turned left into a world of candle lights, banyan tree, art and smells and flavors that fire up all your senses. This restaurant is located in downtown Cozumel. We ordered the garlic bread which is a must. It was more like a puffy flat bread. It went well with the black vinegar and oil. I got the fresh fish with herbs and it was delicious. I could taste the freshness of basil, garlic and onion. Ask for their house-made hot sauce. It's crushed jalapeños and to die for. My partner got the chicken picante and the chicken was cooked perfectly: the skin was crispy and the meat juicy. The service was excellent. Our servers were friendly, knowledgeable and happy to assist. We got the chocolate mousse. I thought it was chocolate mousse cake. It was just chocolate mousse: a good quality one nonetheless. I highly recommend this place.

Yelp
Guido's has such a great reputation here among visitors and locals, both. The food is fresh and excellent. I recently got takeout as I wasn't feeling up to par. I ordered the garlic bread, which was more like naan, but fresh and buttery. The salad with dried cranberries and goat cheese- very good with an excellent dressing. I had the fish in brown butter sauce with some veggies - just what I was craving. For dessert I had the Key Lime Pie. This had a meringue and a crumb crust. Not as light as I like- but, of course, I carried these home and enjoyed later, so probably would have been better to dine in. Service was wonderful but I could find no good way to order by phone. The website had only an office phone number that I could find, and there was no answer. I'll definitely go back, soon.

Mark M.

Yelp
Great Italian place in Cozumel. Everything was delicious and the sangria was delicious.
google avatar

Teresa B.

Yelp
Amazing food, beautiful space and attentive and nice staff. Was only in Cozumel for the day and so glad we stopped in for dinner. Best meal in the 5 nights in Cancun area. Too many good choices, we ordered the Yvonne Salad (yummmmm) and calamari special for apps, Frutti de Mare and the Fresh Fish Calabrese. Everything was delicious, only wish my stomach was bigger to try more things. Will need to come back! I drank a couple of glasses of cabernet with the food, delicious! My friend had a fancy cocktail which she said was also delicious.

Yelp
I had reservations of coming to an Italian restaurant in Mexico, but I heard great things so I wanted to give it a shot - and I am very happy I did. The style is more Italian with a Mexican flare. I ordered the ensalada verde (3.5/5), the garlic bread/pita (5/5) and the calamari (5/5). Then for dessert I got the specialty lemon pie (4/5). If I came back I would 100% get the garlic and calamari - the pepper / olive oil that the calamari comes in is heaven (I scooped it with the amazing garlic bread). The service was nice and attentive. It had a mix of locals and mostly tourists. I would definitely recommend this place for a nice dinner.

Yelp
It amazes me how a restaurant can maintain the taste and quality of their menu ... and Guido's is one of those that does just that. Last time I had their lasagna was probably 15 years ago ... just tried it last night for the first time since then and it's still terrific!

Yelp
Excellent food and service. Our waiter Ceasar was great! The ambiance /setting was beautiful.

Yelp
Great Pizza! Great service. Generous wine pours! Comfortable outdoor seating in a beautiful terrace.

Yelp
Making my annual visit to Cozumel. This place is a must place to visit. The food is consistently great and does not disappoint. Even a special cake.

Yelp
I come here every time I come to Cozumel with my boyfriend and I had the worst experience ever this last time I ate there with my friends. I ordered a pizza and it did not come pre-cut which is fine because I did not mind cutting it myself with a knife but when we asked for the tab and the waiter Cesar asked us if we wanted our leftovers packaged I asked if they could cut it for me before packaging it because I did not want to have to look for a knife at the place I was staying at which he responded "you can cut it yourself, you have a knife right there".... Which I responded "can the kitchen not just cut it before packaging the leftovers"... if yall did not know they take the food to the back to package it for you then come back with it. I thought that was extremely rude. So I sat there and cut it myself with a bland knife. My boyfriend Cameron called the waiter back over and had a talk with him which the waiter then tried to say maybe I didn't understand him correctly because I don't know Spanish, however I'm fluent in Spanish, so not only was he rude once but twice..

Yelp
Great ambiance, food and service!! I've been coming here for years and haven't posted a review. Last night we enjoyed a nice dinner of stuffed chicken breast with pasta and the fish special, which was 3 pieces of sauced fish atop the most delicious scalloped potato & leek dish (will be trying to recreate this one at home). I really enjoyed finding the geocache they had hidden!

John P.

Yelp
First off, our server Caesar was excellent. Cocktails were really good and food was top notch. Restaurant has an amazing courtyard in the back which is a great feature in Cozumel. Salads and pizza were great. Octopus was wonderful. Full bar and lots of options.
google avatar

Yelp
Fantastic service, food and atmosphere. I had dinner at the bar last week and was so impressed. Their, huge, garlic bread is a great starter. The squid ink linguine Fruti Di Mare was outstanding. Good wine selection too. As an update, after having eaten there now a dozen times; the pizza is outstanding as well. Get the all meat pizza which is not on the menu. BTW: Lily and Fernanda are just outstanding in their thoughtful and caring service. Worth a visit to be sure. My 2 cents. Greg T.

Yelp
We come here at least twice every Cozumel trip. Can't stop with the fish Calabrese! Lovely ambience, always looking forward to the consistency.

Yelp
Delightful experience. The food was delicious, the atmosphere perfect and hospitality superb.

Yelp
Oh how we LOVE Guido's! My fiancé and I visited Guido's during our most recent trip to Cozumel. It was by far our favorite meal on the island! The staff were kind, the food was to die for, and the drinks were tasty! We definitely recommend visiting on your next trip to Cozumel!

Katie A.

Yelp
The garlic bread was sooo good! Margherita pizza is thin crust, which normally isn't my favorite, but cooked perfect and good! The tomatoes were very juicy and flavorful!
google avatar

Idene S.

Yelp
As someone who lives in the Bay Area with endless Italian food options I was surprised to find some of the best Italian food I've ever had in Cozumel. Highly recommend it! Ps the sparkling limeade is a must try.

Nick C.

Yelp
Possibly the best overall "high" end restaurant on Cozumel. Service, food, drinks, and perceived value are all phenomenal. Top 3 lasagna I've had in my life. Drinks are great. If you're inclined, try the sangria. The garlic "bread" is good, but a tad overrated in my opinion. It's a pita with a garlic butter wash. We made it our last dinner this trip, and everyone (M/F, 46-17yo, drinkers and non) agreed it was the best meal by far.

Yelp
One of our favorites! This place is lovely, a little expensive but great atmosphere, food and service. We came here Thursday evening for dinner. It was great. We were seated right away. This place has a beautiful patio courtyard as you pass through the main entrance and indoor area. We had a pitcher of sangria and the special appetizer fish tacos to start. The fish tacos were delicious, so flavorful and rich. We shared the goat cheese and pecan salad next. It was delicious, both tangy and sweet. For dinner we had the seafood pasta and the catch of the day mahi-mahi. Both were delicious, served piping hot. They are generous portions so we took about 1/2 of each to go. The service is always checking on you and makes sure you have everything you need at all times. They continually bring ice for water and sangria.
google avatar

Amy H.

Yelp
The food was so good. I had the prosciutto wrapped scallops with risotto and my husband had the mahi mahi. Our desert was the white chocolate and raspberry pie. All delicious. The staff is very friendly and the ambience is cool - candlelit with some outside lighting with actual trees and bougainvilleas. Go here for sure when in Cozumel!!
google avatar

Tiffany B.

Yelp
Perfect dinner for our anniversary on the island. Do not sit down when you walk in the door! The outside dining area is beautiful with fans and roofing if needed. I had the ravioli and my husband had the spaghetti bolognese. For dessert, he had the ice cream cake special and I had the crème brûlée and Alexander dessert drink. There were candied star fruit with the crème! The food was all fantastic and our server, Cesar, was delightful. He told us about the cat lounging nearby and the gardens in the back. Loved it all!

Robin G.

Yelp
Best dinner out during our stay in Cozumel. Great ambience and service but the food..... it was spectacular!
google avatar

Karen N.

Yelp
We had truly beautiful presentations of fresh seafood and accompanying fresh pesto and vegetables. The ambiance was festive and surroundings beautiful. We plan to return!
google avatar

Robin B.

Yelp
Ambiance is amazing in their outdoor courtyard. Food was also awesome. You must get the garlic bread.
google avatar

John O.

Yelp
Outstanding food and service. Would definitely recommend if you love Italian cuisine. We were not disappointed and will return again in the future
google avatar

Danielle D.

Yelp
Beautiful patio to dine in, a little on the warm side & stuffy but romantic. Our server was a little forgetful but his counterparts checked on us often, so we were fine with that. The good was so good & fresh. Also not pictured here was the lasagna (which was ok) & 2 glasses of local wine, which was pretty good. I'll definitely be visiting again.
google avatar

Beth M.

Yelp
Great ambiance. Doesn't look like much from the outside but it's a hidden gem inside! We ordered Veggie pizza and grilled mahi mahi--both great options! Servers were friendly and helpful. Recommend!
google avatar

Yelp
Guidos never disappoints, food, ambiance, service everything is on point. We have been visiting for years, we have even stayed in Cancun and taken the ferry over just to eat dinner. Our most recent visit we stayed on the island for 5 nights and we ate at Guidos twice. You won't be disappointed!
google avatar

Kristy K.

Yelp
We visited twice during our stay. The first visit would be five stars. We walked in after a long afternoon of shopping, not even dressed for dinner, and we were treated to fabulous service and some of the best food we have ever eaten in Cozumel. The beet salad was excellent (off menu item), and husband ordered fettuccini Alfredo. The pasta was perfectly cooked and piping hot. Cesar (waiter) was superb! Sadly, we came back for Friday night dinner. It became abundantly clear the restaurant was not prepared for high volume business. Husband order same fettuccine Alfredo, and it came out with mushrooms and ham (which we clearly specified we did not eat). Waiter even read this back to us after he took the order (???). And you should not have to cut fish with a steak knife, ever. Toughest piece of overcooked Wahoo ever. I must say the goat cheese salad and garlic bread were both fabulous. Not all was bad, but we will simply skip the busy nights next time. Atmosphere was consistently good, regardless of all else... and I appreciate the manager taking time to listen to our concerns. We will be back.

Michele P.

Yelp
They have some of the best pizza I've ever had. First time to Cozumel and we tried it on a whim, went back 2 more times in our week long vacation!
google avatar

Laura A.

Yelp
Best place we ate on the island all week! The food was so tasty. We got the garlic bread, calamari, scallops with prosciutto, and coconut shrimp with millet.

Giselle H.

Yelp
Some of the best Italian food I've had! The stuffed chicken was amazing. I asked for a side of their Alfredo sauce and added to the buttered pasta. The garlic bread is to die for!!! It was all so delicious. I will be going back when I am l in Cozumel ag

Liz P.

Yelp
Amazing!!! Frutti di Mare was absolutely delicious!! Garlic bread is a must! Highly recommend this place. The hostess speaks perfect English.

Yelp
Guido's is located on the main street in Cozumel. I'd have to say I wasn't expecting to any Italian cuisine while here but, wow, We started off our experience when a couple seated outside told us this was their favorite restaurant in Cozumel. They just have spotted the skepticism on my face and they quickly added that they weren't getting any kickbacks and had been there multiple times over the years. Alright I'll take it! The restaurant has a lovely woodland vibe and lots of star lights hanging from the greenery above. For starters: house sangria, garlic bread covered in butter and herbs, and caprese salad (pesto, Oaxaca cheese, tomato, and basil). As the great philosopher Guy Fieri once said, "Flavortown!" For my main course I got the linguini with black truffle sauce and portobello mushrooms, my companion got the lasagna. As someone who comes from the NY/NJ area with an idea of what qualifies as good Italian cuisine, this definitely made the cut and then some. Finished the night with homemade carrot cake with ice cream and coffee which was exactly as good as it sounds. Yup, that couple was right. Highly recommended if you're ever in Cozumel
google avatar

Lori N.

Yelp
The best meal I think we had on Cozumel. We had the stuffed chicken breast which was excellent and the lobster pizza which is a little spendy but was delish. Prob wouldn't get the pizza again since it was $30usd But yummy and worth going. Go early for a table or be willing to wait. It's popular.
google avatar

Jan D.

Yelp
This place is really good. The price is very reasonable, excellent service, beautiful ambience. The garlic bread is like thin pizza dough, baked in a wooden fired oven with garlic butter on top...EXCELLENT! Portions are large and filling. The salad was so good that it could have been enough for dinner. We will definitely be back!

Yelp
I took a cruise for my girlfriend's 50th birthday. Our second stop was Cozumel, Mexico. This was the same day as my friend's birthday. She checked Yelp and found Guido's...... myself and all 11 of my friends would like to thank you for the prior reviews! From the time we stepped through the door we were treated like royalty. We were a large party and at times there were two to three people waiting us. We started off with red and white sangria. I had the white and it was refreshing and light in flavor. Several people ordered appetizers. I ordered the lasagna with a side salad. The bread was more like baked tortilla with a little added yeast to make it rise. It was deliciously different. We sat outside on the patio which had brick floors and walls. It had a very high wall surrounding the patio with a big tree behind our table. It was an enchanting environment;) My salad was good. It could have had a tiny bit more dressing but I enjoyed it. The lasagna WOW, it was phenomenal! It melted in my mouth. So many cheeses I couldn't count. And the meat sauce was seasoned perfectly! This is a must-try! The server brought my friend some ice cream that he set on fire (not actually the ice cream but a sauce he poured around it) and the staff sang Happy Birthday to her. We each tried the ice cream which had a lemon flavor and was yummy! If you have a stop in Cozumel and are looking for delicious Italian cuisine I highly recommend Guido's. It's a 10 to 15 minute taxi ride from the port and on the coast. Thank you to the Guido's staff for doing such a fabulous job with our birthday dinner celebration!

Valerie L.

Yelp
We make it a point to visit Guido's every time we're in Cozumel. The best Italian cuisine I've ever had. The staff makes it a point to make you feel comfortable, treat you like a friend, and are attentive. You can sit in their outdoor patio filled with lush plants for a more relaxed atmosphere, or dine inside with a fancier vibe. We've done both. This place is usually packed because of the amazing food & service. Can't get enough! We love Guido's!
