Guillermo Tovar de Teresa Museum

This museum is small and free of charge. It's beautiful and quaint. The works of art and architectural design are breathtaking. The staff are friendly and very knowledgeable of it's previous owner and their contributions to Mexico. There's a little cafe on the bottom floor and clean restrooms as well. Definitely worth a visit

A very beautiful house filled with beautiful artefacts and history. With free entry all week and an attached cafe I’d highly recommend visiting.

Probably my favourite little museum in Mexico City. A calm oasis of elegant rooms filled with old artefacts running around a lush private garden, providing sunlight and refreshing shade for the whole house. The rooms are stunning and well maintained with beautiful art pieces detailing the customs and history of the capital.

Wow what a beautiful mansion to tour with its furnishings and artwork intact. You’re transported back in time a century or more to witness the niceties of life for the Mexican aristocracy. The upstairs is inaccessible but there’s enough to gawk at it the small rooms downstairs to get an idea of the comfort and splendor enjoyed by the wealthy. Descend the stairs to the verdant garden where you’ll complete the tour of this gorgeous home. Staff are very courteous, from the armed security guards outside on the sidewalk to the room attendants inside. When I decided to take a second look through the rooms after completing the tour, the very kind woman at the front of the mansion reassured me, “You may go as many times as you wish.” She made me feel very welcome indeed! Thank you, kind madame!

This house/museum is a must see, and admission is free. If you love art this is the place to visit. It was not crowded at all and staff is friendly.

Not very large but packed with artifacts and curiosities. Worth visiting if you are nearby. Lovely garden.

Tiny but elegant House-Museum displaying many elegant furnishings art etc. from the collection of the wealthy Sr. Tovar in his Roma Townhouse. Admission is FREE! Schedule about 20-45 minutes for viewing the tiny 1st floor rooms currently open to the public in this Roma Norte townhouse.

Stunning museum! Doesn’t take long to walk through, the people who work here are passionate about the house and very kind people. Free to enter. No drinks allowed but you can set them on a table outside the doors and pick up on the way back out. Worth the visit to take you back in time in a gorgeous setting. We visited on a saturday around 1pm and there were only a few other people there. No wait.
