Guitar center has always been the leading provider for anything music related but on this i was able to attend a pedal tone masterclass. A class that was absolutely amazing featuring the lead guitarist from the smashing pumpkins Kiki Wongo and the legendary Yvette Young of the awesome band covet. It was so awesome watching Kiki shred whilst sitting behind Yvette. I was totally freaking out but i kept my cool. You out did yourself guitar center and I thank you so much for the event

Guitar Center in Los Angeles is an absolute must-visit. I literally said “wow” the moment I walked in. It feels like a giant playground where musicians can truly rock out! They have way more than just guitars, from piano keyboards and acoustic/electric setups to DJ gear and everything in between. The best part is how interactive it is. People were jamming, experimenting, and just having fun, which created such an amazing energy throughout the store. Even if you’re not buying anything, it’s worth stopping in just to experience the vibe. 5 stars all the way! 🤘 🎸

New store manager has really turned this place around, way more clean and welcoming than it was a couple years ago. I had an awesome time there today!

The Hollywood store really stepped up to the plate. Great staff. As a former product manager for Gibson/KRK I was particularly impressed with the studio monitor listening room. It was perfect. So fair and well done. Really helps you choose monitors that are best for you.

I recently visited Guitar Center on Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles, aiming to buy a trumpet. Although they only sell trumpets online, I stayed for two hours exploring the store, especially enjoying the Roland JUPITER-Xm synthesizer. The store is a paradise for musicians, offering a vast array of instruments and equipment. The staff are friendly and strike a perfect balance between providing assistance and allowing customers to explore independently. Additionally, the store features the RockWalk, where numerous musicians have left their handprints in concrete, adding to the unique atmosphere. Overall, I had a fantastic experience and highly recommend it to any music enthusiast.

A must-visit!! Not just for guitar fans, but for every musician and artist. You can literally feel (and almost smell) the history of legendary music that’s been created with gear bought, sold, and rebought here. Guitar Center Hollywood has a unique selection of some of the finest guitars in the world. But it’s more than that! It’s an experience for every band member, producer, or anyone who’s just passionate about making raw, authentic music. An iconic spot that inspires creativity the moment you walk in.

I came here because my tour guide brought us here to see all the singers celebrate hand prints, fun to see, and I do visit the store, there are so many nice guitars, next room is other music instruments, nice to visit

We had a really positive experience at Guitar Center recently. The staff were incredibly knowledgeable and friendly, making our visit enjoyable and helpful. They were true experts, ready to answer all our questions. Plus, they're currently running great deals on all instruments, so it's a fantastic time to check them out!

I live right around the corner and come here a lot with my 2 boys. I had to come here recently to have something on my guitar fixed and had the pleasure of dealing with Sean, in the guitar repair shop section of the store. Sean was super helpful and professional and gave my guitar back to me sounding and feeling better then it has in a long time. I highly recommend requesting him if you're going to have any work done on your axe!! Thank you Sean!!!

The Guitar Center is an institution! I am not a musician (flirting with taking guitar lessons when I was a pre-teen doesn't count!), but I love music and this place is a world into itself! Lots to see and browse- their Walk of Fame, memorabilia all around, it's a great place to visit! Lately, my husband was looking to replace a small recorder and found a deal on line at the Guitar Center! It was cheaper than the big site (it should not be named) that we were avoiding buying from. So, we placed the order, got it in a few days, no problems! It was great to be able to save some money, get what we needed and support a local business instead of a conglomerate that put so many stores out of business! So, yes, they do sell a lot of items on line as well. Give them a try!

This Guitar Center is THE primo store. Based in Hollywood so you never know who you could see shopping there. Very good selection of drum kits, keyboards, guitars, & anything else for the musician. Be sure to walk out front & check out the famous hand prints & plaques.

Just had the best experience with Dracy! He was so kind and helpful. If you're in there looking for audio and recording equipment, he's your man!

I would like to start by shouting Vega out from the location off Pico in the Westwood area. I went over there not knowing they closed that location down and he was cool and talked to us for a bit. This Sunset location is awesome. It's huge and has so much selection from every instrument. Everyone that has approached me has been super cool and I spoke to one gentleman about guitar lessons. I actually plan on buying a new guitar soon and picking up some lessons. Highly recommend this place to come see some fun signed guitars or the band handprints from bands as you walk in. I got to play some drums and it really brought me back to some good old days. I look forward to coming back with my kid so she can play some instruments.

Mike Great person to work with! Very efficient and fast he clearly loves what he does. His prices are reasonable, and he's extremely accurate in his observations. He adjusted my bass and fixed my pickups perfectly. He really knows his stuff!

They had 2 associates working the entire store. Lack of workers and all the kids were practicing loudly and not being helped.

Guitar Center repair shop offers great customer service. I came in at one in the afternoon with an intermittent wiring issue on my acoustic / electric and Zach was there and took care of it in less than 15 minutes. The other repair shops make you wait a week before you can even call them to see if anything's been done on your instrument. Guitar Center charged the fair price of $45 which I was happy about. Their excellent Customer Service is better than other repair shops I've gone to for repairs. GC is my new go-to for service and repairs.

This place is truly the BEST. I signed my kids up for lessons here - drums and guitar - during an amazing sale where you get one lesson free when you buy 4. 4 half hour lessons came out to $97.50 the first month!!! Our ongoing rate is $130 a month, and my kids cannot get enough. Our son studies guitar with Kyle who is so patient and kind. Our daughter studies drums with Nach, who is wonderfully encouraging and kind! Both instructors cheer our kids on and celebrate their progress each week. Our kids love coming here. The experience was already wonderful, but this week, the team at Guitar Center did something that exceeded our wildest expectations - they bought an entirely new, smaller drum set JUST for my daughter. She's under 5, so she was having trouble fitting on the stool and reaching all of the full size drums. When she walked in to her lesson this week, she found a brand new drum set that was just her size waiting for her in her lesson room. She was OVERJOYED and so grateful! We were so touched at this incredibly kind gesture from the staff and her instructor. Our son's guitar instructor, Kyle, lets him pick a new guitar every single week that he would like to play. He walks our son down to the incredible sales floor (even if you're not a musician, it's worth coming here to see the sales floor - it's the stuff of rock and roll legend) to pick any guitar he would like to play (as long as it's under $1000!) :) Guitar Center has been so good to us that we bought instruments and gear from them for our kids for Christmas. The sales team is so knowledgeable and helpful, and they can guide you to whatever you need (and what you didn't even know you needed) within any budget. We can't say enough wonderful things about Guitar Center, the instructors Kyle and Nach, and the whole team here. Well managed, well run, and all around wonderful.

If you are looking to purchase a guitar don't look any further just head down to Guitar Center. They have it all. Any budget any size and quality. What a great selection of electric guitars and acoustic as well. The staff is knowledge and will help you choose the right one. They also have other instruments and accessories. In Keyboards and Pro-Audio, Joshua J N. was fantastic the other day, and I'd surely go back and work with him again. Also Cory, and Dracy, both, were quick to give me help with an exchange and a return with no attitude, just easy help. If I need more education on things, I always read a lot first, them come in with a good working knowledge which helps all of us find me the right gear. Sometimes it can be a thankless job for the GC reps, but I trust this store to always get me the gear and help I need in a pinch. StFolds

Pay attention when buying a pricey item. They use your credit card to buy a gift card first and then run the gift card for the actual purchase. That way if you decide to return it, you only get a store credit. Also no warranty from AMEX since you technically bought a gift card. The woman claiming to be the supervisor said that's their policy.

Just wanted make sure things don't get unnoticed: Maya, Sales Manager was working today at the rental area. She was rude to the customers in front of me, and towards her assistant, a ginger guy which kindly helped me on my online order. Maya, this is for you: better be a decent person than a skilled professional.

The sunset Boulevard l location is OK. Staff is not very helpful they just don't have enough staff to help their customers Northbridge Guitar Center location, is horrible management is terrible. Salesman are non-caring and they never answered their phone. unfortunately, there kind of the only game in town at least in the valley. I much more preferred Sam Ash when it came to customer service but they're gone.

I like going to Guitar Center so I can play their guitars at a decent but respectable volume. Cut to 2 days ago my boys and I visited this place and we stopped outside the front of the store to see the Rock Walk of Fame (always fun!). We each picked up a guitar and plugged in. I chose a small but powerful Mesa Boogie amp and got ready to rock on the Brian May Red Special ($849). I was playing the opening riffs for Hammer to Fall and Tie Your Mother Down. I didn't think it was too loud at all but the young lady employee asked me (politely) to turn it down and was doing the same to everyone. I was a little put off by it so that took the wind out my sails and I just stopped. Ugh! I was having fun too! My 2 boys continued walking around and we ended up leaving shortly afterwards.

I made a return last night and after an hour of waiting while they "helped" us they told us we were going to have to come back another day to get my money back even though they took my returned pedal AND sent us an email confirming that it had been returned. To top it off not one of the three employees ever apologized for making us wait for 60 minutes (8:10-9:10) before they told us they could not resolve the issue. We came in around 8:10 to return a pedal and to buy another one. We waited in a short line. When it was our turn the cashier started to help us, tested the pedal we wanted to return, and did other things in her computer. Then she got up around 8:17 and said she decided to help another customer since she said it would take a while for her to find the pedal we wanted. We had already waited in line yet we had to step aside while she assisted a customer and then rang him up. About 5 minutes later she was done checking that person out and back to helping us. She found the pedal we wanted after about another 5 minutes and then started the return process in the computer for the one we were returning. She had issues with processing the return and as a couple of other male employees walked by she called them over for help. At one point there were three employees trying to figure it out. They did a lot of things in the computer and did not explain what was wrong and why we had to wait for 30+ minutes. At one point I asked them if they could just refund my credit card but none of them even responded to me. I know I said it loud enough for them to hear, but no one even looked my way. Around 8:55 one of the guys called the help desk. When he was on the phone I heard him tell the help desk that it had "only been about 10 minutes" since the return was processed in their computer. Well by then it was made over 30 minutes prior. Once he was off the phone he told us that they told him that it was too late in the day for the system to show the transaction so we would have to come back another day to get cash back. I asked if they could please just refund my credit card but they said it would have to be paid to us in cash. Well we are coming back tonight (another hour round trip driving and $8-10 of gasoline...) and if they do not give me my money back then I am going to write their corporate office a letter and file a claim with the BBB. I used to work in retail and this is not how it works. They should have given us the cash back or credited my credit card and then figured out another way to resolve the issue without having to make us wait and then come back another time. They should have also apologized. They had us waiting a whole hour but nobody was even sorry we had to wait! I am dreading the trip back to Hollywood tonight...... Update: I got my money back. The employee contacted the manager tonight and they paid me back. It only took a 23 minute phone call an hour round trip and about 15 minutes in the store. I hope never to return to this location.

Arean, This young Guitar Center representative has a five star knowledge base and customer service skills that can make any father proud to buy musical equipment for his starry eyed son. After this man in pro audio if you need an expert and someone that makes you feel good about the purchase he's the best.

This is the flagship store, been coming here for more decades than I would like to admit. The staff here are really great, super friendly and helpful. Even the security guard is fun to talk to! This is part music store and part museum, with a courtyard reminiscent of the Chinese Theatre, paved with the handprints of GOATS. See how your mitts match up to the likes of Chuck Berry or Steve Vai! Once inside you can catch a glimpse of Clapton's "Blackie" Stratocaster or Eddie's Kramer from 5150. There's lots to see here while you shop. They have the standard selection of Guitar Center brands, if you can find it at another GC they likely have it here, this place is huge! While you are here, be sure to pop next door to the Apple Pan and grab one of their famous burgers! It is a great way to spend an evening.

Extremely Disappointing Experience at Guitar Center Sunset Blvd Before posting any type of negative review, I always try to reach out to the business directly first. I emailed both the store manager and copied the CEO of Guitar Center two weeks ago about this experience and have received no response whatsoever. This lack of follow-up only reinforces my disappointment with this location. I've been a loyal Guitar Center customer for decades, shopping at locations across the US without issue - until my visit to the Sunset Boulevard store. I called ahead to purchase a microphone and was told to ask for a specific employee when I arrived. During our transaction, that employee was constantly on her phone, which was incredibly unprofessional and disrespectful. When I returned to the recording studio where I was recording, the owner and head engineer immediately noticed the microphone box had been opened. I called the store to ask why I was sold an opened product, and the employee claimed it was "the last one" and had been opened "to make sure the item was in there." This explanation makes absolutely no sense - why would a sealed manufacturer's box need to be opened to verify its contents? To make matters worse, I received the wrong model entirely. Perhaps if the sales associate had been paying attention to the customer instead of her phone, this mistake could have been avoided. I called back and requested to speak with the store manager, and the person who answered said that she was one of the managers, and when I related what happened, her response was simply "What do you want me to do?" - hardly the professional customer service I'd expect from a manager addressing a legitimate complaint. I suspect I was sold a returned or used item in repackaged packaging. I received the wrong product, dealt with distracted staff, and encountered dismissive management. This experience was so poor that I felt compelled to write my first negative review of Guitar Center after decades of being a satisfied customer. The Sunset Boulevard location needs serious improvement in customer service training and management oversight. I'll be taking my business elsewhere in the future. Somebody is no doubt going to reply to this message with a perfunctory apologies, and my preemptive question is, why didn't you reply to my initial email two weeks ago?

I love this place. I could be here for hours playing all sorts of instruments. The staff is very helpful. The guidance they give is dead on.

Guitar Center is fine. They are competitively priced a reasonably complete music store and most of the employees are knowledgeable. My review is specifically about an employee his name is (according to my receipt) Joshua J N When I walked in, I heard a voice welcoming me and asking me if I needed help, my intention was to fully ignore this voice. Today is Halloween. I'm on a mission. I don't have time for some goofball to ask me if I need help and then not help me and then cause my visit to take longer it would if he had just left me alone. But this voice was persistent and I'll admit friendly. I tried to ignore him and I did. then he ignored my ignoring him thus winning the round. I looked at him. I made eye contact he made eye contact. I told him what I was looking for, and he simply marched in that direction, and I knew that I was to follow him. He didn't have to say anything at that point he'd bested me he was clearly my champion . And I knew right away that This was my man. It became immediately clear that despite this person's professionalism, persistence and charming appeal.... They only had one of the studio lights I was looking for. I wanted 5. Yes that's right. I came to guitar Center for lights not guitars. Joshua didn't judge me and you shouldn't either. Within moments, he was on the phone with other stores looking for the lights... The lights I needed the lights I wanted the lights that would complete my Halloween party that I was desperately hunting for at the absolute last minute. But of course, the other location (Sherman Oaks) had employees of lesser salt. Joshua was put on hold immediately and after 10 minutes, he and I both gave up. He sold me what he had he told me about the lights he gave me tips. He assisted me my suspicion is that he is not paid enough. I need to add a couple more things while he was on hold trying to find more lights. He assisted several other customers. I watched him expertly the way he assisted me I react with smiles. I watched as he effortlessly improved peoples outlook. I watched as he went "above and beyond" as they say... Joshua this review is for you.

Had a wonderful experience and left with a new guitar I was very excited about. Staff is very welcoming and knowledgable. Very relaxed and friendly environment. Miguel G in the acoustic electric guitar section helped me through the process and I could not have asked for better service from him. He gave me all the space and time to ask as many questions as I wanted and responded thoughtfully.

I wanted to publicly acknowledge Maya and Josh for consistently providing me great customer service through the years. I just purchased a new drum kit from them and they made sure I got the best deal possible, and that I was comfortable every step of the way. They go above and beyond. Thanks guys!

Dracy is AMAZING!!! I came in with all my podcasting equipment (mic, interface, cloudlifter, laptop) frustrated because I could not get my sound just right. Dracy patiently listened to my concern then proceeded to troubleshoot the problem instantly! After 6 weeks of low quality sound, he figured out the problem within 10 mins! I highly recommend guitar center and THIS location! Not to compare, but customer service here is far, far better and more knowledgeable than the Best Buy guys down the street. Thank you again, Dracy and guitar center for everything!

This is a really cool guitar center. We've been to a few and they are usually pretty lame but this location had a lot to look at. Went to check out some instruments & equipment and they had tons of stuff to inspire my kids. Employees were okay. Not friendly, but they did their jobs. Old man cashier made me feel like I was bothering him by standing in his line. He didn't say one word to me, making me feel like maybe he didn't like women. Or maybe he didn't like women who look like me. Not sure but he should probably be retrained in customer service. I told HIM thank you after spending money with THEM and he just frowned. Female security guard was really nice though. Very friendly and did her job well. Would come back just to let my kids sample the instruments & see the cool decorations they have but would definitely look for someone who actually appreciates their customers to help ring me up.

Review for Darcy! After a few days of doing my own research, I walked into the store still unsure about the differences between the Pioneer all in one DJ controllers. Within five minutes, Darcy gave me a clear and detailed breakdown that made everything click. His product knowledge was solid he knew exactly what he was talking about. I couldn't afford the controller just yet, but I left with a great pair of headphones.

I purchased a vintage 70's Fender Jazz bass at GC San Marco location. I had some conflicting data on the age. They told me to go to the GC Hollywood flagship location and see the wizard himself, Allan Clarke. Wow. I've never met anyone so meticulous and profession in dating a guitar. He disassembled almost the whole guitar and showed me the evidence of its age. He slightly disagreed with the GC posted age of 1974, and opined a date of 1977. Pretty impressive. When you visit him make sure to bring a pocket of guitar picks for a sacrificial offering.

Never in my life have I been to a guitar center. Oh my goodness the energy and decor. I've had my guitar for a while and it was missing a few strings. I decided to take it to this guitar center location. They had decent parking in the back which was surprising because of the location. I walked in and went to the repair/consultation desk. I showed them my guitar and they gave me the list of things needed to be done. They were very kind and patient as they answered all my questions. The pricing came out to about $35. I got a call back the next day to pick it up. To my surprise it was not only fixed but it looked like they restored it to mint condition. It was fixed, tuned, and cleaned superbly. Quick and easy. I definitely recommend this location. 10/10

The employees are great but whoever is at the door either it's security or whoever it is they are always assholes asking me for my receipt when I always play for my shit idk if they do that to everyone else (probably not) but it's feels targeted definitely. And their always rude about it I asked for a bag nd the security asked for my receipt that already in hand which I show her from a distance she then ask to see it up close snatching it out my hand just straight assholes . I will not show them next time to see what they do! Also gonna call and complain

i luv the easy-going staff here and the huge array of diff instruments & their hours butttt I'm taking 3 stars off based on certain sales persons who made it clear to me that just becuz they somehow ended up answering a few questions for me, that "I SHOULD" buy the item with them (so they could get the commission) and that "I SHOULDN'T" get it online!!! how rude and unprofessional ok??? omggggg seriousssssly?!?!!

People are what make a store good or bad. So if you want good people, and you need help, there is one person I can 100% vouch for in this store... Dracy helped get a much needed piece of equipment shipped to me, within a time sensitive window, and did this late on a Saturday evening. Even when there was a payment issue, he got it to work. Cheers Dracy, appreciate you!

If you ever need repairs on your guitar or ukulele, talk to Sean or Zack. They are the best. Sean is a manager there and he made sure i got the best deals on the repairs i needed. They are so kind, honest and helpful. Hands down, my favorite Guitar Center location.

Miguel & Josh Took some time to go beyond their work duties just to talk to an old rocker about life and music. No pressure to buy which has inspired me to buy something. Guitar center big wigs please give these 2 professionals who swing from the heart a raise

I have been looking for a digital upright piano to test and had tried calling this location several times just to see what they had available on the floor. Each time I would be transferred from the front desk to the piano department and nobody answered. This happened multiple times over the past week at various times, including today twice. I decided to make the trip and go in person to check. Upon arrival in the piano area I noticed 4 people around the desk where the phone was... but figured maybe they had been busy. While I was there I saw a call come in and nobody picked up. Kept looking around and Luckily they had one of the upright digital pianos I really wanted so I tested it for a while, and then went to find a sales associate. I told the salesman I would like this specific piano, knew the color as well and asked about delivery. I then let him know I have back problems and online I kept only seeing options for freight delivery that doesn't even take it to your door, and does not include assembly. I found this shocking because these are heavy pieces, and a lot could go wrong for someone. He told me Guitar Center doesn't assemble any pianos because they use a third party. I asked if there was a service they recommend or if one of them (for a fee) would come assemble it. He sort of just said no. Then said he would have to think about if he would be down to assemble it and think about a fee. The whole time I just felt like this guy did not care one bit about selling me this keyboard or helping out at all. He did at one point open his phone to figure out how people get wheels or caster rollers for pianos (which Guitar Center also doesn't offer or know of solutions). But the whole experience was really disappointing. I can't imagine I'm the only person to ever ask about having someone assemble a large digital upright piano - on top of helping with delivery as I'm medically impaired. Many years ago I was able to (in another town) get a digital piano delivered and assembled from GC... they should really consider doing this. It's wild to just say "here is a huge heavy high value instrument in pieces. No we don't know what assembly or delivery services you can look into. Good luck." Also crazy that I came in ready to buy this thing and the salesmen just could not have cared less.

Walking in here really brings me back to being a little girl on tour with my dadyd who was a rhythm guitarist for a very well known country act (dont ask) anyway sometimes I like to lean against the wall and close my eyes and sway like I used to in the olden days before iPods and CDs back then i hated country i was all about the cure now not so much. Love u dad

That bald manager I forgot his name is so useless. Rude and then doesn't hold his workers responsible for what they say through the phone before you come in . Wouldn't let us return a guitar after they said yes on the phone and the old guy with the long beard acted like he never spoke on the phone . Put " final sale " on the guitar without even letting us know . All the workers there are rude besides the security and the new guy with blueish hair . Will never be going back there

How much Dreadnought beauty can fit under one roof? A lot given that my boyfriend and I spent almost an entire afternoon here. Aside from the acoustic and electric string guitars, we enjoyed the percussion wall, keyboards and maybe even a spin at the dj center. I was really impressed with the store's layout, grouping each guitar type within a specialty room. Repair services on-site. Lessons and rentals available as well. Service yook the store down a notch. Though there seemed plenty of staff, we couldn't find a soul to help us to take a few for a test strum. Indoor mask policy is enforced and security works well to ensure safety of product and customer. Don't forget to stop quick at the Rock Walk to find your fave band commemorative plaque.

The service was excellent. I came in to buy a needle and then met Dan who referred me to a cartridge which was better and showed me some of the equipment they had and what I could do with it. He was very patient and had a lot of knowledge that will make me buy more things from this location. Dan knows his stuff. Great service, 10 stars not five.

Worst guitar center there is! Worker told me to turn down when i was at 3/10 volume on a tiny 10g amp. Can play twice as loud anywhere else. No reason why you should go to this guitar center over any other even if your a tourist...

Terrible customer service. Female worker hung up on me in the middle of explaining the issue I was having with the $300 keyboard I just purchased. I'm returning the keyboard and putting my money elsewhere. Completely unprofessional.

Don't ever try to sell your equipment here, you'd get the same offer at a PAWN SHOP...None of the staff are friendly or attentive...and MYSTERIOUSLY since I declined their low ball offer on my used vintage guitar, my Craigslist ad keeps getting flagged and taken down, CL is where the guitar center employee suggested I try to sell it..

I got really good service when people got around to me. I waited about a half an hour before someone could even begin to help me with trading some stuff in for a pedal and a new guitar. BUT I HAVE TO POINT OUT. I DON'T THINK THIS IS THE EMPLOYEES FAULT, IT'S CLEAR THEY WERE UNDERSTAFFED FOR THE CHRISTMAS SEASON. THANKS PRIVATE EQUITY FOR RUINING YET ANOTHER BUSINESS For your greedy profits. I was really surprised at the very fair trade-in value for my gear. In previous years, I was offered ridiculously low trade-in prices but this was a really good deal and again once I got someone to help me, he was really helpful and nice and got through helping me quickly

Fast and easy used gear sale just completed. First, I couldn't believe a human answered the phone after 2 rings. On top of that, I got a hero named Dracy, who deftly guided me through the process of bringing in and selling a rare Korg keyboard that had been sitting at my elderly aunt's house. The whole process only took a few minutes and we walked out with a fair and generous amount, whistling a happy tune. Well done y'all!

Normally every time I come into this guitar center it's a pretty negative experience and I don't really get helped at all, the stuff will be kind of rude but today was great. I came in and someone was on the phone helping a customer over the phone and she seemed really nice and understanding talking to the customer and when she got off the phone she answered my question about online orders. Sometimes when you're in the wrong spot to pick something up people will treat you like you're stupid but she was just like "oh actually that's around the corner". She was really helpful without being condescending. I wish I got her name to shout her out but I didn't. I had to wait just a little bit for someone to help me (maybe a minute at the very most, not as long as I've waited before) and Kelly came up and apologized for the wait (it wasn't a long wait but it was nice to say something). They helped me get my online order super quickly and asked me about my day, I was dreading coming in to pick up my order because it's always a bad experience but Kelly made sure it was great.

After the West LA Guitar Center closed and the Sherman Oaks store was still recovering from water damage, I was happy to have one of the 3 stores in my area open. The employees were all very friendly and cool to work with. I just needed a 'burner bass' for open jams. I would up buying a nice Yamaha bass that was recommended by the associate for my price range. Then I walked over to keyboards and was surprised to see an actual Yamaha P525 digital piano floor demo. Stores never seem to have this as a floor demo anywhere. So evidently, they have EXTRA selection of instruments to try out at this flagship store.

I hardly ever write reviews unless something is exceptional or horrible. I wish I could give this place zero stars. I have spent thousands of dollars at this store. Recently bought a set of Shure earphones for my daughter, then found out she had already bought them. Went to return them within the 30 day window and was told that they don't do returns on earphones despite the fact that they were never opened. I was not told this at time of purchase and it does not say it anywhere on the receipt. They told me it says it on their website. So I'm supposed to look up every item on their website before I go the store? I asked to speak to the manager. After waiting 25 minutes the guy at the register told me to go find her - she was just hanging out with other employees in the rentals area of the store. She was completely rude and unhelpful. She didn't even bother to look at them to confirm they were unopened which you can easily tell. I told her I was never going to do business with Guitar Center again and she said "okay" like she could care less. The guitar selection and history of this store are excellent. I suggest you go to look around and try things out, but buy at Sweetwater or somewhere else if you want any kind of customer service. So long Guitar Center. I hope you get your act together.

I made the mistake of purchasing a Pedal online from guitar Center. This is the third time I purchase something from guitar center that was either broken or missing parts, and it will never happen again. I called the customer service yeah right at guitar center and was assured that this would be brought to a managers attention. This has not happened and I don't expect it will. This is basically guitar center being guitar Center one of the worst if not the worst next to musicians friend Businesses for hard-working musicians it really blows my mind that they're still in business never ever ever do any business with guitar Center if you do, you're dumb.
