An interesting place to visit. It is a big Buddhist temple in the middle of Wuhan City. There is a beautiful Lohan Hall with 500 life-sized golden monks in action and giant Buddha images. Sorry no picture is allowed inside monastery buildings. There is a big Guanyin statue with double-side postures standing outdoor. A beautiful tower nearby is opened for visitors only ground floor where you can worship Bodhisattva images and enjoy corridors with stone-laser drawings along the walls.

The 400 arhat statues each have unique facial expressions - locals say #147 resembles your future spouse. The vegetarian restaurant's mock duck contains 18 layered tofu sheets just like 1922 recipes. Incense coils burn for exactly 108 minutes, matching traditional prayer cycles.

Many people are here. Fantastic buildings and amazing statues. I think it is a great place for travelers, no matter you have or don't have religion belief.

We had a fantastic time seeing a working Buddhist temple. The shops were also great for some authentic gifts and the staff was more than amazing.

My friend told me this temple is one the most famous temple in Wuhan. It has an astounding 500 Luo Hans(statues of ancient saints), where you could count them according to your age, starting from the one you like the most. Lets say if you are 20 years old, go into the temple, find a Luo Han you like the most, and the one next to him is one. Count until the 20th Luo Han. That Luo Han has its characteristics, people believe those characteristics will tell you something about this year of yours. Sort of like fortune cookies. There's a magnificent newly built temple behind the old temples, too bad it doesn't allow visitors to go up.

One of the main sights in Wuhan. Very standard Buddhist temple with lots to see. The highlight is the tall Buddha statue and the hidden all-vegan restaurant that serves mainly items that monks usually eat. Highly recommended!

"500 Buddha Statues" is totally worth to take a visit, as non of other Buddhist Temples in China has collect literally full set of “500 Buddha Statues”.
