Gukje Market

The sheer vastness can be overwhelming, but all lot of fun seeing all of the different things for sale, clothing and food is the majority of it, but just about anything can be found. If the vendors know your native language they can be pushy, just realize each sale is how they make their money. Definitely worth seeing and be ready to spend several hours if your wife likes shopping!

Gukje Market is a big traditional market in Busan. It was opened in 1945, when the local people started selling goods left by the Japanese and US military after the war. It is popular for its electronic goods, household appliances and tools, clothings, bags, toys, souvenirs and many more. We can find authentic Korean street foods here too. It is not far from BIFF and Jagalchi Fish Market. It is an interesting place to visit.

A unique experience with over 1,500 shops. The food was reasonably priced. Not all the street vendors take credit card. Some took Yen and one of the street vendors kept 500 extra Yen and didn't give us the correct food. Due to the language barrier we just let it go. Just be aware of this possible issue of being overcharged. It was very crowded.

Very large market located in Busan, selling a diverse variety of products and goods. Just from strolling here, you can buy blankets, clothes, pots and pans, and much more for very reasonable prices. I recommend coming here for a traditional market experience, since it had so many vendors selling very many products.

If I wasn’t limited my already incredibly full luggage, I would have been going crazy, some great finds amongst the 100s of shops.

This is one of the markets in Busan you will want to visit. Lots of great street wear, accessories and many more.

I enjoyed walking through the market. There are many stands selling all my bfs of things. The prices are good. It's worth going to this market to get better prices. It's a covered market so if it's raining it is a good place to get in out of the rain.
