"Bring on the Butter Chicken! I have two words for you. Butter Chicken. Gulati is an unassuming, casual spot near India Gate serving unforgettable butter chicken. Lines can be long but just the thought of the gravy will keep you happily waiting. Don't want to venture out? Stay in your PJ's and opt for delivery service. Another bonus: Gulati's is open until midnight, so grab some drinks and then indulge in the mughlai fare."

Tried the food here and really enjoyed it! The non-veg platter was delicious and more than enough for our family of four. The butter naan was absolutely yummy! The butter chicken, though decent, didn’t quite live up to the hype for me—and felt a bit pricey too. Overall, still a satisfying meal!

Tried the buffet on Sunday. The place was packed with people waiting for walk-ins. The ambience was good, but the thing that disappointed me was the service; it was slow. The buffet dishes were empty while the restocking was taking a long time, so I just had to stand there and wait. Also, when we asked for rotis/breads, the servers took a long time to get them while we just sat there and waited for a long duration. However, the manager, Mr. Ankush, was professional with his job and helped us get some good hot food and a table without much wait. The dishes that I tried were satisfactory. I think if I had ordered à la carte, it would have been better tasting food. I have tried better tasting butter chicken & dal makhani at a lot of other places; they should really work on that. Apart from that, Ankush's hospitality was top notch, but the restaurant needs to work on restocking the items quickly during the buffet, not to make the customers wait, and could improve on the flavour of the dishes they were serving. I hope next time I will experience better tasting flavours because I always have high hopes from this place.

I visited Gulati's for the first time after 10 years of living in Delhi. But sadly, I left with the view that it is entirely skippable. In general, Pandara Market is a rundown collection of partition era eateries, which are needlessly hyped by South Delhi people. It may have been a posh enclave to dine at, till about thirty years back. Now, it belies expectations. Food. The chicken tadka was 3/5, the paneer tadka 3/5. There was so much oil everywhere. Check the photos. Please don't give me the drivel that Mughlai cuisine is necessarily oily. There's no point eating at a famous restaurant such as this, of its serving the same amount of oil as a back alley kitchen from Laxmi Nagar. The cream of onion soup was good 4/5, while I really liked the Khameeri Roti 5/5. Prices. Dishes are supremely overpriced, given the overall experience. Service. The elderly gentleman who's the manager needs to show a bit more professionalism. He snapped at my wife, albeit very softly, saying 'Yes, Ma'am, I am coming to you'. She was ordering and may not have understood him the first time. He also needs to bow and smile more. That's just how the business is.

Gulati’s is a big name when you are In delhi and looking for some indian food, the place has not changed over the years (last I was here atleast 15 years back) but what has changed is the price, after eating in the Leela’s and Oberoi’s I found paying Rs 280 for a garlic naan with such an ambience a little too over the top. Maybe I had high expectations with the food at the place but it did not live upto what we were looking for. Here is what we ordered and my ratings of those considering price and taste 1) tomato soup: this was good, a little spicy, but I liked that, though not everyone might 2) chicken 65: this was not bad. Again a little spicy (living in the south of India I have had variety of chicken 65 and this was surely not the authentic receipt but it’s ok). The chicken quality though was not great 3) chickens tikka masala: a let down as had too much salt. The quality of chicken was good but the overall taste was not 4) paneers double masala (I think that was the name): not good, way too many different spices overpowering each other giving a very mixed taste 5) garlic naan: very good though way too expensive 6) khameeri roti: very nice and soft 7) tandoori roti: this was also good 8) ordered 1 mocktail, blue lagoon, it was ok. The glass was too big for the straw, had to ask them to change it mid way So overall the breads were good but rest was average or below average and considering the price they charge it made the overall experience even not so great. Also service wise, it took them way too long for getting the main course after the starters because of which we were already feeling full. So I suggest you order everything together. We did the mistake of ordering mains later.

Had a fantastic lunch today at Gulati Restaurant on Pandara Road. The food was absolutely delicious — rich flavors, perfectly cooked, and served hot. The North Indian spread lived up to its reputation, with the butter chicken and dal makhani being standout dishes. The service was prompt and courteous, and the ambiance added to the overall experience. Highly recommended for anyone craving authentic, satisfying Indian cuisine in Delhi! Make sure to book and reach in time. A minute delay on weekend means you miss your slot. We reached 15mins before

Undoubtedly this is the best butter chicken I’ve ever had. The garlic naan and roomali roti were perfect accompaniments to it. We ordered an aam panna and shikhanji, both of which completed the flavours excellently. Everything about the experience was flawless, except one. The queueing. They have a petty bureaucrat standing out front, who treats you with no respect. He writes down your name but not your phone number. You then spend the next 38 minutes being gaslit into thinking your table is only a few minutes away. “The next table is yours”, he told us for 20 minutes. You assume he’s telling the truth; but of course he’s lying. You can’t leave because you have no idea when he might call your name. You have to stand around in the heat, waiting on his every word. Worse, he arbitrarily allows some people to enter. I definitely saw white people wait less than Indians. They just walk in because Gulati thinks they’re better than us? It’s 2025, this isn’t acceptable anymore. Gulati was established in 1959, and their reservation/queuing system and preference for foreigners is also from 1959. Please adopt a TRANSPARENT queueing system. Take my phone number down and send me an SMS when my table is ready. Make it fully automated and FAIR, so there’s no scope for some people to get preferential treatment. This is how modern restaurants do it, and you need to as well. Or at least ask that man out front to treat people with respect. Thats the bare minimum.

Horrible customer service at the front desk, don’t bother reserving a table, i had booked a table for 12.30pm, we reached at 12.32 but the person at the desk didn’t even bother to check and i was waiting for 10-15 mins till i left without update on my reservation as i completely ignored in the crowd, the lack of respect at the front desk made me leave the place. Please be ready to wait an hour in the heat outside to have food. On top of that, the sheer ignorance of the people at the front desk is appalling. We went to the nearby restaurant- Havemore (they serve Non-Veg).

Ordered Dal makhani and Garlic naan. Taste was pretty average, place seems to be overhyped and taste not at all justifies exorbitant price. Place is easily avoidable.
