We’ve had several wonderful stays at Gulf Hills Resort over the past two years and recommend it highly. The property is beautifully updated, caters to its guests, and offers a beautiful pool area as well as welcoming and interesting public spaces and bar. The location is convenient to all that downtown Ocean Springs has to offer. This visit happened to coincide with their Summer Solstice pool party which was festive and incredibly nicely done with a great band and DJ and yummy food and drink. Special shout out to our fantastic server Madison, personable bartender Anna B, and wonderful customer service by the GM Mary and front desk team. Great visit and we’ll be back!

This hotel/resort was outstanding! The staff was very friendly and professional. Always smiling. The green grass , bayou and big old oak trees made it magical in a way. We felt very welcome and safe. Quiet and peaceful.

Our family was in town for my nieces dance competition and decided to stay for Mother’s Day weekend. We had a wonderful stay at Gulf Hills. This property was incredibly clean, beautifully decorated, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. The bar was nice and served excellent cocktails. The outside pool and lounge areas were really nice. Property grounds are beautiful, As well as the Decor and historical and Elvis nostalgia throughout. We would absolutely stay again.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We stayed at Gulf Hills Resort in Ocean Springs for a family reunion and had a wonderful experience. The renovations since our last visit were very noticeable and well done—everything felt fresh and updated while still keeping the charm of the place. The staff was friendly and incredibly helpful, even giving us great recommendations for a fun place to grab dinner. The setting is peaceful and perfect for a family gathering. We definitely plan to stay here again and are already looking forward to the next reunion!

Ok here goes gulf hills goes way back to the mob days. Lots of history. So my wife loves to take us to quirky and different places to stay. This is not glitzy loud casino lodging. GH has been remodeled but keeps the old look and feel. Suite was clean, well maintained, and spacious. Mattress is soft but not overly so. Hotel is isolated so appears safe and secure. GH golf course is well kept, modestly difficult but fun. Both have plenty of parking. Check in was a breeze with polite staff. Wi-Fi is adequate but not the best. One caveat for entire ms gulf coast. Buy some bottled water. The tap water is really bad.

The property itself is unique as it contains a lot of history. Although we did not get a chance to use it, this hotel is one of the few that has a pool, unless you opt for a chain hotel. Capone's Speakeasy is great!! The service was excellent, especially, the text messages. They presented a welcoming and personable feeling as well as made you feel connected with the goings on in the hotel. Location is great. Surprisingly hilly & somewhat secluded, and downtown OS was only about 1-2 miles away.

I cannot say enough good things. This is only the 2nd review I’ve left in my life and it is so well deserved. Live in OS, but like to mini-vacay places also. Have stayed here several times and each one has truly been 11/10. Everyone at the front desk, the rooms are clean and beautiful and comfortable, the cleaning staff is friendly, the bartender, the POOL!! Just all of it. Everything. The whole experience each time was just.. truly perfect. Chefs kiss!

Truly a hidden gem! Nestled in a residential area with a golf course and hilly landscape. Only minutes from bustling government street, which has something for everyone. The property itself is a beautifully repurposed old school motel which, personally, I appreciate. The room was exceptionally clean, the bed was very comfortable, and pillows of differing size and firmness all made for an extremely comfortable stay. There's tons of beautifully decorated gathering spots in and around the lobby. There's also a small offering of grab and go style snacks/food (biscuits and quiche during our stay). Single serve style coffee in the rooms. The staff is welcoming, helpful, and very personable. The rooms (we had a king) were spacious and well decorated, though the lighting was somewhat dim, but it didn't bother us. The bathrooms are spacious and well renovated. There's a small closet and thoughtful steamer. I did not see a hair dryer, for those who need one, bring one. We only stayed for one night but I would definitely stay there longer if ever I have the occasion, so I can enjoy more of this beautiful property.

Yelp
The room was fine. Nothing special but nothing that stood out. The outside needed to be cleaned and updated. It is a motel with doors opening to the outside. The conference room was large but had paint peeling from the ceiling. Capones lounge was great, clean and updated. They closed the pool on us at 8pm which seemed early. There was a sketchy guy sitting outside in the breeze way with his shirt off smoking for a little while which kind of freaked me out. When we checked in the staff was friendly.

Yelp
This hotel is currently just beginning renovations. The place seriously needs it because it had baseboard molding falling apart in our room. The carpet was very old. It had many stains on it. When we got there the room smelt like cleaning supplies. When we returned you could smell a very musty smell. The smell stuck to all our clothes. We could smell it out clothes when we got home. The door to the room was very hard to close and I could see daylight through the door seals. The fridge and microwave were sitting on some unfinished boards that were thrown together to make a makeshift shelf. The front desk people were very friendly and the beds were clean and the hotel was in a nice location. It was very quiet there at night but the outdoor lighting could have been better. I know the property is undergoing renovations but I would not recommend staying here until all the rooms are gutted and undergo a major overhaul. This place has potential to become a nice place but it needs a lot of work.

Yelp
They are still remodeling, so your room may not be as pretty as the lobby photos, but this is a quaint, clean, locally owned motel filled with charm from the past. The staff was very friendly. Both Elvis & Al Capone stayed on the property before the original place burned. Very quiet unless a special event is going on in the main building. The architecture reminded me of the property in dirty dancing. It is unusually located in the middle of a subdivision & next to a golf course. The restaurant/bar is conveniently located next door. Will stay here again.

Yelp
I stayed here for two nights. My stay was good. It's an older hotel, however, it's aesthetic and antique-look add to this gem. The room was cozy, no phone due to COVID is what I was told. The shower was walk-in and the shower head worked great! The room had a fridge AND microwave. The staff was nice whenever I interacted with them. The check-in process was quick and easy, as was the check-out. Hassle-free. Would I recommend this place to stay? Absolutely.

Yelp
30 of us old folks were all set to swoop down to Biloxi area, play sone bowling and some golf. We all made the reservations months ago, then Covirus hit the USA. Had to cancel all our reservations for this year. Boo was looking forward to this trip.

Yelp
this place has so much history. The rooms are very clean and the customer service is great. The property is being restored but will become a hidden diamond in time. I look forward to seeing it in its full glory.

Yelp
This is a motel with a pool and a golf course next door. It is very dated. We arrived at night and was instructed to pull to the back parking lot. The parking didn't have any lighting and it was very dark. I used the flash light on my phone to make my way through a herd of cats that were laying on the steps. The bed was hard as a rock. The staff was friendly and the room was clean.

Yelp
The team at Gulf Hills Hotel & Resort is going above and beyond to take care of residents displaced by Hurricane Ida. Can't say enough how grateful we are to know this place prioritizes people--the impact their kindness and hard work is having on evacuees is incredible. They're at the top of my list for future stays, hopefully in different circumstances. This hotel more than deserves your business!

Yelp
Absolutely awful! It was not at all the way pictures portrayed. Paint peeling everywhere. Walls thin as tissue paper, dog in room few doors down barked the whole time. Outside in dire need of trimming and cutting. Refrigerator had someone's leftovers in it with 3-4 inches of ice in freezer. I understand it was under renovations but it should not of posted fantastic looking rooms when it was actually more like a sub par Bates Motel. Gave it a one star because it did have. Memory Foam(new)mattress. Even a large gap under the door, furniture looked like a really run down thrift store purchase.

Yelp
Planned to have my wedding here. Then COVID happened and I had to cancel. My contract stated that as military, my $300 deposit was fully refundable. But the hotel refuses to give me my money back and management refuses to return my calls.

Yelp
Wonderful little hidden gem of the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Clean, friendly, quiet and the hottest shower I ever took on a hotel. And it was the most inexpensive hotel during Cruisin on the Coast. I might just stay here everytime I'm in town.

Yelp
I had the pleasure of staying the night here in the VIP suite. From the outside the looks were deceiving the building looks old. Needs a good power wash and some paint. Inside the room was gorgeous. The breakfast was just a regular Continental. No eggs or sausage or anything of that nature. I really enjoyed reading the guest book inside the room. In it people were writing the date they stayed and the reason for the stay. When we checked in the room all the lamps were on that gave it a peaceful ambience

Yelp
So, we stay have stayed here many times when coming to the coast, for decades. During our 2019 visit I have decided to Yelp. My only real complaint is about the WiFi, or inability to stayed logged in because the signal is so weak. This is very frustrating when trying to keep up with my office duties. I'm sure we are not the first visitors to complain about the WiFi. Wish the hotel would beef up their service to the customers.

Yelp
Hair left in the sink, mildew-y shower, stained towels, expired candy and soda in the vending machines, some bizarre rod sticking out of the bed right where you get out... These are some of the features you can enjoy in the room all the way at the end at Gulf Hills. Taken alone none of these issues are significant, but add them all together and you've got my stay in a nutshell. It's not the worst place I've stayed, but that was a legitimately horrible place where you paid by the hour. The way Gulf Hills was billed, I expected a lot more. This is not a hotel, but rather a motel. It should be labeled accordingly. When I got over my Bates Motel visions, I wasn't really impressed with anything. Also, as a general practice, maybe don't put the woman traveling alone in the room farthest from the lobby on the first floor.

Yelp
Nice people, good food, nice rooms, needs to be a little updated and blow dryer doesn't work. Overall nice stay.
