We enjoyed it today. Positives - booked online and took advantage of a 'secret deal'. Perfect for younger kids. No rides really too extreme and we got on almost everything. The tree top drop ride and the lost world raft ride were both really good fun. Got on the log flume three times, which we loved. Most of the staff were pleasant enough. The ski lift team were really nice and made an effort to welcome you on. Parking was fine although via a very steep, windy drive up and with cars queing to get parked you could smell clutches burning everywhere 😂 but there was an entrance into the park near the top for those parking which was decent. Negatives - Not much really. We waited in line for my little girl to go on the rock climb wall, behind a small group of girls, and we were the very next in line (and the only ones left in the queue) and they shut it because they 'only run one or the other' The other being a little toddler activity course in the same spot. When we queued both were in action. They could have let her have a go, bit annoying. Some of the attractions are a bit of a let down, the ghost house for example, and the dragons lair are a few mins each that you won't get back. Pointless walkarounds with nothing in them. Those aside, overall a decent day out and fairly priced, and I'm sure we'll probably go back before she gets too big for most of the rides. Point to note: if your not good at walking up and down steep hills, this place isn't for you. It's literally built on a hillside. You have the ski lifts which will take you up and down but expect a fair wait for one. For us, we did both and were fine with the gradients.

Great for the kids and the landscape is beautiful. The guys and gals working there were all polite and ready to help in anyway they can. Just a little mention to disabled people come fully prepared as it really is hard graft getting around because of the steep landscape.

Last time I came to this place was when I was a youngster. Now having 2 children one a wheelchair user I have to say it was an enjoyable day. Wheelchair user was able to go on a variety of rides with me present only down fall is some of the animatronics where broken. And very very hilly but what do you expect in matlock.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4/5 A great place for kids and families to enjoy a day out. Most of the rides are short and mainly designed for children, but the overall atmosphere is fun. The roadside views on the way here are amazing, though the uphill journey makes pushing baby strollers a bit challenging. Best to arrive early to make the most of all the rides. A few extras, like having to pay £1 for a park map, didn’t feel like the best first impression. Still, overall, it’s a lovely family-friendly destination with plenty for kids to enjoy.

A brilliant family day out. Free parking is available and just a short wait for the gates to open. There is something to do for all ages here, visited with two children ages 12 and 15 and enjoyed by both. This park is great for those who don't like massive rollacoasters or queuing for hours to get on a ride. The queues were all short, or we were straight on. The climbing wall and the rope swing were the only two attractions that had a bigger queue or wait time. Various food and drink outlets dotted around. We chose to have a pizza, which was nicely done. Old classics like the log flume, river rapids, pirate ship and high wire seats were enjoyed by all. Photos for the log flume are reasonable prices, the pottery craft painting was only £5, and there is a gift shop at the exit to buy a keepsake or gift. Whether you've got a little one or older one there's definitely something for everyone. £65 family ticket offer for a family of 5 was great value for the amount of things to do. We would visit again.

Great day out for the younger kids, we really enjoyed the rides. The wait times weren't as bad as the bigger parks. Food wasn't overly priced and good portions. The hills there could be an issue for those with mobility issues or walking with bulky buggies/prams.

We had such an amazing time here, I was really impressed! We arrived at 12 and it closed at 5 and that was just enough time! We got on everything quickly and managed to do my daughter's favourite rides quite a few times! It's set amongst beautiful scenery, my 4 year old could go on nearly everything, and the car park is free!

Decent day out for kids, steep so if you struggle with steep surfaces this may not be for everyone although there's plenty of places to rest. Feels a little dated and in need of some TLC.

Yelp
I want to disagree with those that say Gulliver's is just for the young kids. I took my 2 teenagers who are 16 and 14 and they had a whale of a time. If you are going to go on the train, wear some good walking shoes as you have a hell of a hill to climb. The whole park is set on the side of a hill. The best thing to do is when you go in the main entrance, Take the chair lift to the top and work your way back down. All the rides are totally family friendly so Mum, Dad and the kids can all go on together. There is only a height restriction on 2 rides so my little 3 yr old niece wasn't allowed to go on the Switchback Roller coaster or the drop tower. There's Fantasy Terrace where you can ride on the Flying Carpet and go on the Dodgems. There Western World where you can drive the JCB diggers, pan for gold and ride the Log Flume. The Log Flume was one of my favourites of the day. All children and adults can go on it yet the drop is quite awesome and we got soaked through. My daughter went on it twice. You can also buy a photo from the ride - We got Magnets to put on the fridge. Next you can take a walk through the Party house with a ball pool, big pedal tractors, A big old sandpit and a great interactive piano that you play with your feet. I took some time out to look at the breath taking views of Matlock and all of Derbyshire. Take a look at the photos to see for yourself. It makes all that hill climbing worth it. The biggest area is of course Lilliput land the home of Gulliver himself. You can play Giant chess , go over the magic stepping stones and ride the veteran cars, Find your way round the 3d maze, ride the Crazy barrel rapid ride, visit Lilliput castle, ride the teacups and the Rio Grande train ride. My favourite area was the Palais Royale area with the Switchback and the cycle monorail but boy did my legs feel it in the morning! As it is Gulliver's Anniversary this year every half an hour the 2 park Mascots Gully and Gilly would come out and sing. It was a lovely treat for the little ones so we took time out to get ice cream and donuts. OK they are a little expensive but the were really Yummy. The absolute last ride you get to go on before you leave the park is the Pirate ship which is my all time favourite ride so it was perfect to save the best for last. As for the food on the park. Well the usual is availableBurgers, Pizza, Chips and Chicken. We ate at Dixies Fish bar. You queue up at the till and order your food (Fish or Chicken burgers) and then when you paid you move round to the window to wait while the slow youngsters in the kitchen prepare your mealDon't wait until you are starving to order. It all comes in disposable wrappers so you can just throw it all away on your way out. I thought the price was quite reasonable and they don't skimp on portions either. Both my children asked if we can go again next year because they went on all the rides and had a thoroughly enjoyable day.

Yelp
Quite disappointing for the price. Fantastic for those with young children only, but for older ones it can be quite boring. Top tip - take a picnic with you as there are plenty of benches about and the food places are extortionate!

Yelp
BRILLIANT PLACE FOR 3-9 YEAR OLDS ABOUT £10 EACH. Lots of rides but very steep hills we always use the chair lift then work our way dow. Theres little play places all over like a fun house and a little resturant with a bowling alley large connect 4 and ball pits all round. Giant outdoor chess set, singing frogs. Shows through out the day. Food was good valu for money we got meals and drinks for 2 adults and 2 children for £15. We go twice a year and always a good place.

Yelp
Great place for younger children. The price of admission is good and there are lot's of different rides and activities for children to do. The shows are okay but i would take a picnic as the food os overpriced and not that good.

Yelp
We took my 5 year old grandson yesterday and found the park extremely tired, dated and in need of some great refurbishment if they intend to be open in 12 months time and compete with more worthy attractions. Definitely does not do what it states on the tin!

Yelp
Gullivers kingdom is a brilliant place, fun yet affordable it is perfect for younger children in the 4-8 year bracket as the rides there are no too extreme. Check out the balloon ferris wheel and the pirate ship.

Yelp
a nice little place to go for kids but is quite babyish and the rides are not very good overall the whole place is very affordable but the food and drink is much to overpriced and i think it is only really good for kids or people who have a family they also do parties sometimes but not all the time i think the admission is very good price because i got in very cheap!

Yelp
a family theme park with younger children in mind.its set on awooded hillside in a lovely part of the country.plenty of attractions and many of them are a little on the gentler side,so it is a much better place to go if you have a young family rather than the bigger theme parks.lots of places to eat, also picnic places.it doesnt take too long to get to either if you live in the midlands.

Yelp
We found there was plenty here for a good day out, but the quialty of the park is not good enough to justify the ticket prices. A wise idea to take your own food/drinks as these add to the cost of the day, also the steep hill is not recommended for older people or those that have difficulty walking.

Yelp
Dissatisfaction on rides for the price however the staff cant do enough for you i went as a party of 7 they helped as much as they could. If the rides were up to date it would be 5 star.the staff make up for were the rides don't

Yelp
I'm surprised that Muml2 was disappointed with the rides here. We go regularly and my younger daughter is now 6. We do as most people do, take the chair lift to the top, then work our way down. We always take food with us, and carry it around with us all day. (I normally take a backpack with our food in, but instead of taking loads of lunch boxes, make it as easy to carry as I can, by putting everything in bags, that way when you've eaten each bit, you can throw the bags away in the bins, the same with drinks, we take a couple of bottles of water, then throw the bottles away when we've finished them). We go out a lot during each year, so can't afford to keep eating at different food places at all the parks and theme parks etc we go to. If we bought food at them, we'd end up stuck at home all year!

Yelp
excellent fun for little ones and their family
