Gululu Restaurant @ Spinola Bay, St. Julians

Food was delicious and mostly Maltese cuisine so a perfect opportunity to taste what the locals have to offer. The service was excellent and the atmosphere quite lively on the inside and a bit more romantic and quiet on the outside. I enjoyed every second here.

It offers a pleasant dining experience with tasty food, a beautiful view, and a prime location. The atmosphere is charming, and the staff is generally friendly and welcoming. However, there were a couple of issues during our visit. A small mistake was made with our order, which wasn’t a big deal, but what stood out was that a staff member accidentally hit my husband on the head twice while passing by and did not apologise.

We ordered the tasting menu. The price was around 32 and it's nice actually.👌 The dishes were a lot so we could try all and feel good in the end☺️. The dessert was sooo amazing, sweet enough and warm. The fish had a high quality. I also liked the caramel onion 🤤 We will come back for sure !!!!🥰

The main course came cold to the table. The staff was very understanding and made a new order and gave some snacks in the meantime, but the bread served was very obviously from yesterday. Overall the food was not the best but the service tried its best.

This was the most cute, romantic place to go to for dinner! The scenery was beautiful especially if you were sitting on the waterfront. The food was something new that I hadn’t tried before but it was absolutely delicious, it was very affordable and the service was fantastic. Our waiter was called Aaron and he was so so so lovely! I would really recommend going here if you want to try some traditional Maltese food❤️

The atmosphere was great. We had a spot right by the water and it was super cozy! The food was.. okay.. just not our style and that’s okay! I had the pasta with pork and i didn’t like it. The server asked me about it and gave me another dish for free, that was really sweet! And the other pasta was great! The other service was half and half…. The guy which asked me about my dish was very sweet and super considerate about allergies and stuff. The other guy just gave the impression that he didn’t want to be there. Paying with him was not pretty because he stared at us in a pretty rude way, said nothing and just had a weird, bad attitude/ vibe.

Great family dinner :) food was truly delicious: we had tuna starter and pasta calamari and rabbit as mains. Thanks Jai for taking such a great take of us! Also special thanks to Chef Mohan, we all enjoyed food very very much:)

The food was quite good. We had the tasting menu for 2, and loved the sea bass and the hot meze. The cold meze was a bit bland and dessert was ok. However, the service was extremely slow… we were at the restaurant for 2.5 hours, not by choice. They need to hire more servers.
