Gumbo Hut Shioya

Amazing food! Really tasty and heartwarming. Buddy the owner and chef is lovely - great to chat to! Highly recommended. We had the standard sausage and chicken and nice coleslaw/sweetcorn sides. Buddy plays great rock & roll while you are eating.

Delicious bowl of gumbo with a very generous serving size. The owners were very lovely and spoke English well. This was my first time trying gumbo and it was delicious! Great service and atmosphere too - definitely recommend

We came as a family and had a great time. Delicious Gambo with deep flavor, we had the chicken gambo and the one with mussels, both very tasteful. The portions are generous and the sidedishes are also delicious (we had one of each). Great variety of Rock and Roll music. Very nice and friendly owner, we decided to return the next day for dinner again.

Kind of a random outpost for gumbo but it’s good! Super chill spot, specialises in gumbo with various proteins, has a few side options and cold drinks. Great vintage garage atmosphere.

A special spot on the island of Naoshima. The food is super, very tasteful! The owner and cook do know how to make gumbo! Also the music is great, a lot of blues!
