Lovely wines, but disappointing customer service.
We visited on Friday, 9 May, and asked if it was possible to do a wine tasting, noting that the cellar door was empty at the time. From the moment we walked in, we didn’t feel welcomed. The staff member looked around before acknowledging us and made us feel like an inconvenience rather than valued guests.
Unfortunately, the poor customer service overshadowed what could have been an enjoyable and memorable tasting. The staff seemed disinterested and dismissive, with questions met by curt responses and an overall cold attitude.
It’s a real shame, as the wines themselves deserve praise. With better hospitality, Gundog could easily offer one of the best cellar door experiences in the region.
