GuruWalk Free Walking Tour Dublin

Tara’s tour was excellent. Really engaging and informative. Would highly recommend. Easy walking route and we felt well looked after. Particularly enjoyed the story about Darky Kelly next to Christ Church Cathedral.

Absolutely recommend doing this walking tour of Dublin. Our guide Stephen was amazing. Friendly, funny and interesting. Never realized how quick the 2.5 hours passed by. We had a guided tour today led by Ciaran, and honestly, it was one of the best tours I’ve ever been on. He shared a huge amount of interesting information about the city and Ireland as a whole — covering history, culture, and even politics in a really engaging way. Since our group was small, there was plenty of space for discussions and questions, which made the experience even better. Ciaran is incredibly energetic and clearly knows his stuff. Highly recommended!

Rob gave us a great two and a half hour walk around Dublin, packed with information about the city and Irish history. We thoroughly enjoyed the walk and wholeheartedly recommend it.

Kate was a fabulous tour guide. Her theatrical training made the tour even more fun as she is a fabulous story teller. History came alive as she told ghost stories and anecdotes about each spot we visited. She even sang us a sweet song on the banks of the Liffey. I have done a lot of city walking tours and this one was exceptional. She also gave us a list of recommendations which helped us to find fabulous things to do and places to eat!

Had a great walking tour of Dublin City with Dave! This was a great intro into the highlights of Dublin. Dave was nice enough to sneak us into the Dublin Castle Promenade and also gave us some great recommendations for pubs and things to do outside of the overly touristy spots. I loved the tidbit about the North and South side of Dubliners. Would not have known about that had he not explained the differences (including Temple Bar). Would highly recommend this tour for a nice intro to Dublin. Definitely worth the same as a paid tour as far as the quality is concerned, so check it out and tip your tour guide well. Guru walking tours is a great way to book an informative free tour!

What a fantastic tour! Kieron (I hope I’ve spelt this correctly) was absolutely amazing, you made our day in Dublin with your humour and incredible knowledge of your beautiful city. I’m so sorry we didn’t tip, I went to get change and you’d left by the time I got back. I hope this review makes up for it as anyone visiting Dublin for the first time needs to take part in this tour. You kept us all (including my two boys) absolutely captivated throughout. This is my first time using GuruWalk and we had a great experience with Dan. He is EXTREMELY knowledgeable about the history of the places he took us to and passionate about sharing it with us. He also kept it exciting and entertaining despite the rainy weather. We appreciated Dan’s recommendations for places to check out which we used the same night for a couple of pubs. We thoroughly enjoyed the free walking tour. After some concern about finding the meeting area, we discovered that we were in fact too early. Sure enough, people started to congregate, and then our guide appeared. Connor was an excellent guide. He was knowledgeable, funny and he kept us entertained for the entire tour. After the tour everyone applauded. With the tour behind us, we had a good orientation of the sites of the city.

Emily gives a brilliant walking tour for all who want to find out about the cool and quirkier spots around Dublin's city centre. She was great at explaining about the different venues, what nights are best to go to them etc. and I was really impressed with all the cultural and historical quips that she added in as we went around the route. Ideal for discovering cheap eats, alternative drinking holes and a certain clothes shop that employs a little dog to give you your change... A lovely way to spend an evening, I'd definitely recommend it to tourists and locals alike.

It is the best "free" walking tour that I have done. What a great way to learn about Dublin and get some Dublin fresh air. Found out from my tour guide it took him almost a year to read Ulysses. I'll try and best him. I just need to start reading though. One of the funniest parts of the tour is near the start of the walk. I don't want to spoil it. So go work out those lungs and legs. We decided last minute to do the North tour and I'm so happy that we did! Patrick was our guide and not only was he extremely knowledgeable, but he was also hilarious! Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to learn more about the history of Ireland.

This tour was amazing! I participated in the south Dublin tour, and the tour guide was Sam. He was nice, funny, and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend these tours to anyone visiting the city. If I had more time I would have taken the north side tour as well!

Emily was so sweet! She arrived on time, and pointed out many lesser-known attractions around the city. She showed us some great, fun little restaurants, stores, and places to spend a saturday night. The tour was definitely worth our time, and the fact that it was free was a bonus! Emily definitely knows her way around the city, and gave us valuable information during the tour.

Emily leads a fun a quirky tour. She definitely will show you some cool places to eat that are not overly touristy. Take her tour early on during your trip so you have a chance to checkout the fun places she talks about. Emily knows her stuff because she and her friends try out all the places before she recommends them. I would recommend her tour to anyone whether you are only in Dublin a few days or for a long time.
