Rather disappointing experience
My sister and I visited this restaurant based on a recommendation, but unfortunately it did not live up to expectations. While the pricing is notably higher than the average Italian restaurant in town, the overall experience and quality do not justify the premium.
From the start, the service left much to be desired. We weren’t greeted upon arrival and had to approach the server ourselves to ask for a table. When I asked for a wine recommendation to accompany the pasta, I was simply told that “everything goes with the pasta” an underwhelming response for me. For a place charging significantly more than others, I expected more knowledgeable and attentive service, especially when it comes to wine pairings.
As for the food, it was very average. My sister ordered the Tagliatelle al Manzo. The menu mentioned beef slow roasting in red wine in it, which gave the impression of tender beef pieces, but what we received resembled shredded beef with a texture closer to canned tuna. At €24, it was disappointing. The carbonara was decent, but didn’t quite capture the authentic Italian flavor we were hoping for.
Overall, this was just an “okay” dining experience at best. It might be worth trying once out of curiosity, but we won’t be returning.
