Gustav's is a fantastic place to have dinner in Rovaniemi. For 6 of us we didn't have to make a booking on a Saturday night, although we did go a bit late in the evening. The food was phenomenal. The sourdough bread and salted butter to start was exactly what we needed. For mains we all either got the striploin or the truffle pasta and both were delicious. Some of the party is quite fussy about how beef is cooked but it was perfect. The portion sizes are on the smaller side, but that was good for us that day. For dessert we had the yellow tart, the basil Panna cotta and the orange cake to share. All desserts were well worth it! The cocktails were not to our taste but we are always happy to try something new. Overall, I would recommend for a special occaison but not if you are super hungry. But I'm sure you will have a great night.

Restaurant Gustav in Rovaniemi has a great central location and a focused menu, which is a good thing. The food was delicious, well prepared, and nicely presented. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout the visit. The only downside was the bathrooms, which need more attention and better upkeep. Overall, a very good dining experience with room for improvement on the facilities. Portions of the kids menu are very small. It is must to make a reservation!

Gustav in Rovaniemi is a cosy, modern Nordic spot that works beautifully for lunch. The room feels warm against the Arctic light outside, relaxed but still a little special. The tuna tataki is silky and precise, seared just enough to stay tender and bright, with fresh, clean flavors that wake you up rather than weigh you down. The Arctic char is pure Lapland on a plate: crisp skin, delicate flesh, and rich, comforting sauce, generous without being heavy—perfect for going back out into the day. Service is friendly and unhurried, the kind that lets lunch stretch just enough that you forget you only meant to have a quick bite.

Great experience! We had dinner at the igloo and it was a fantastic experience! It wasn't just the fact of being there inside the bubble that made this experience unique. The food is great! Amazing author food. (Indeed, one of the best restaurants we had in Rovaniemi.) Original recipes + kids' menu adapted for my picky eaters! Cocktails were also delicious! And great service (the girl was very nice and she spoke Spanish!). A must go!

Typical tourist trap. Not worth the attention. The quality of the product not worth the price. You wait almost an hour for a barely warm micro portion the size of a children's meal. Instead of a clear description of the food in the menu or weight you get a pretentious story about the family happiness of the fictional Gustaw. Do not recommend.

Nice ambiance, polite staff. The food was good, the portions are on the smaller side but enough for us. We had the striploin and arctic char. We went on Sunday evening without a reservation and despite that the restaurant wasn’t full they’re told us that we can only sit at the bar but they will still serve us food. We accepted as we couldn’t find a better option In Rovaniemi that would meet my dietary restrictions.

The best food we had in town with fun and amazing service. Everything was delicious and I will never forget that amazing tuna, the butter with the bread was like eating fluffy clouds. And the beef as a main dish was out of this world.

This was a top notch experience from start to end. The warm sourdough and butter were delightful. All of the textures and flavors in the sea bass dish made for complex profile and we inhaled every bite. We had a hard time deciding between the dessert options but absolutely recommend Grandma's orange sponge cake. The service was exceptional and Cosmin made delicious wine recommendations. This was the perfect indulgent dinner for our last night in town.
