Making a reservation online was super easy, and everything went smoothly. The atmosphere at Gusto is incredible — lively and vibrant, yet still perfect for a date night. You can dress up or keep it casual and feel totally comfortable either way. Our server was excellent — friendly, attentive, and made the experience even better. The only downside was the limited dessert menu if you’re not a fan of cheesecake. Otherwise, everything was fantastic!

Me and my partner had a great time at the Gusto. The food was so delicious! The Aranchini was amazing, great portion and it had 2 different sauces on the side. I had. Fettuccine All’Gusto which is a shrimp pasta with white wine and cream sauce with mushrooms; It was very tasty, the shrimps were huge and cooked to perfection, the sauce is naturally a little heavy but it was very delicious. My partner had a Caprese Chicking breast with a side of roasted potatoes; It was very delicious but the potatoes had no taste or salt to it at all. It was mostly tasting like the balsamic sauce and the tomatoes on top of the chicken, but each of the components of the dish didn’t have their own flavor, which is a little upsetting for the amount of money we are paying for the dish. The broccoli and the chicken were cooked to perfection; the broccoli wasn’t soggy at all and the chicken was still juicy. The environment is really nice and the music was mostly a soul tune, which I personally love. The service was amazing and they were VERY careful with my partner’s peanut allergy. The drinks were very well done as well. Overall, it’s a 4.8 out of 5.

I can't rave more about this establishment! Between the vibes, the meal, the service, the quality, the experience, and everything in between! I got the chicken caprese and my husband got the seafood risotto and it was easily one of our favourite dinning experiences. Excellent price for the quality - and you have to leave room for cheesecake! We traveled an hour to come have supper here and will be back soon. Highly recommend making a reservation ahead (as we did). We were also conversing with our server at the end and I mentioned it was dinner for my husband's birthday tomorrow, and they came back with a birthday cake for him! The hospitality was truly one of a kind. Thank you for the awesome experience!

Google
First of all, the food is outstanding. Some of the best dishes I've had in Canada. 100% worth visiting and having at least once. It is expensive, but worth the try at least once. The only negative thing I can say about this place is the amount of light, or rather lack there of, in the dining room at night. The lights are so dim it's a bit annoying. I have 20/20 perfect vision and it was noticeable for me, I can't imagine what it would be like for people with bad eye sight. I added photos to this review, but had to boost the brightness by over double because it was so dark. I saw people at other tables using the flashlights on their phones to look at the menu. EDIT/NEW: I visited Gusto again and asked to sit in a different section (left side) and the lighting was much better. Zero issue this time with the lighting, it was great. Food was unbelievable once again. Literally perfect. Also, some of the best cheesecake I've ever had in my life, if not the best. Absolutely the best cheesecake in Atlantic Canada. Unfortunately we were met with a not so personable server. Sasha was the name. Seemed like an okay guy, maybe just having a bad day? He never said hi, never smiled once, talked low, got something wrong on our order, and seemed distracted overall. Everyone has bad days, but it seems he was unable to hide it. Even the table next to us they were talking about it. Whatever was bothering him, I hope it got better. We will be back for sure!

I have been in the restaurant a lot of times and it is one of my favourite places. The food is soo good, and overall all the experience is 10/10. Every meal I have tried is always good. I really recommend this place. If you are in Moncton you need to go!

Google
This place had many high reviews so thought we would give it a try, here are the plate ratings (see pics) Linguini carbonara- this dish was tasteful and delish. Arancin - dry and tasteless unfortunately seafood Risotto - taste was good but very little seafood for the price of this dish Spaghetti and Meatballs - this is a standard dish at an Italian restaurant and should of been one of the best dishes but tasted like canned tomatoes over pasta, I asked for extra sauce because it had very little sauce, very disappointed. The foccoia bread was cold, would have been great warmed up. The restaurant was very loud but understand why when it had nothing in place to separated tables. And the final - expensive but would gladly pay the $$ if the dishes were 4-5/5. Our servers 5/5. If you are going to this restaurant I would recommend you read the reviews and not all the highest ones.

My wife and I, from Sydney, Nova Scotia, visited Gusto with friends on a Saturday afternoon before the Nelly/Ja Rule concert. The vibrant ambiance, lively crowd, and incredible food made for a memorable experience. The Bee Sting wood-fired pizza is a must-try, along with the Arancini and Calamari appetizers. The authentic Italian Pasta Carbonara and Goat Cheese Ravioli were exceptional. Highly recommended—be sure to book in advance, as it’s always busy!

Google
Absolutely fantastic food, servers, other staff and atmosphere. I love this place. Highly recommend the salmon. I love the open kitchen where you can see what a fine oiled machine it is and watch how hard the staff is working. Food was so yummy I forgot to take photos when it was served and looking beautiful.

Yelp
Super great atmosphere, sort of hidden in the heart of downtown Moncton. From outside, seems dead but upon entering and going up the stairs, the place was packed and the ambiance inviting. The kitchen was a well oiled machine and I was seated in front of the action. I had the scallops and the Parmesan chicken bites. Both were a good portion for the price. Wouldn't hesitate to return for any occasion.

Yelp
Omg, to die for!! It's a must if you're in the area! Stunning venue and menu! The food is amazing as is the service!

Yelp
Wonderful atmosphere. We ate downstairs. Felt like an Italian Grotto. Bottles and lights lining the walls made for a romantic ambiance. Bread with herbs and oil was such a nice bonus. Delicious. We opted for the Lasagna and the Salmon. Portions were plentiful. Food was very good but not steaming hot. Warm but not hot. Erika was dry pleasant and helpful.

Yelp
This was one of the best all around meals and experiences I've ever had. I took my daughter out for one of our date nights (out of town for us) and this place blew us away! The staff was friendly, our waitress Kim was an absolute pleasure, the atmosphere was comfortable and classy. The food was incredible, bruschetta to start was delicious, she had the steak (Fiorentina). I had the goat cheese stuffed ravioli and garlic shrimp, and we split strawberry cheesecake for desert, everything was perfect. 100% recommend this place, plan to go again and try more off the menu! 10/10 recommend here, definitely make a reservation, very busy!

Yelp
Have the Italiano Mac n Cheese. It was delicious! Great service too! Hands down my favorite meal.

Yelp
This was my first stop in Moncton! My friends made a reservation because this was their favorite restaurant in the area and they wanted to show off for me. They did a great job! The appetizer was a fresh multicolor tomato dish with mozzarella. Even just a bite of the tomatoes, oil, and pepper on its own made a delicious bite because the ingredients were so fresh. I then had a chicken parmigiana and enjoyed that very much. They had a lovely dessert menu with sky high slices of cheesecake and cakes that we took home to indulge in later?

Yelp
Food here is legit. We had a couple of pizzas and a bowl of mussels. The pizzas were thin crust artisan style. Ingredients were spot on and the taste was really good. I say this as someone who grew up eating Italian food in San Francisco. The PEI mussels came in a big bowl and were all fresh and sweet. We also shared a big Caesar salad which while not a classic Caesar, still tasted excellent. We had just arrived in Moncton after a few days in Halifax. We tried The Bicycle Thief and McKelvies in Halifax and Gustos is better than both those restaurants IMO at about 1/3 the cost. Highly recommended.

Yelp
Do not bother with steak, and be prepared for long wait and mediocre food. The ambiance looked good going in, but 2.5 hours later we were leaving the front door after a mediocre dining experience. The food was okay, but nothing remarkable. We waited almost an hour for our food to be served. Pizza orders were filled much more quickly (HINT: If you want food in timely manner, order pizza). My partner had salmon which was "good" and I had the steak barolo, which was okay - the reduction sauce was excellent, but the steak was tasteless, bland and tough with grizzle. In addition, we both had the cauliflower and broccoli veggie on side, which was still crunchy and rather tasteless. Service was okay, but staff seemed overworked and could not keep up with serving guests.

Starlene D.

Yelp
We drove from Dartmouth and had reservations in one of the private rooms. When you first walk in the front door the ambiance is perfect. We orders drinks and appetizers. The waitress had the drinks there pretty fast. We got in there around a little after 6:30pm and we did not receive the appetizers for another hour and some. Everyone in the party was a bit perturbed but understood that they where busy. As I said we got there at 6:30ish and did not leave until after 9 as that is how long the wait was. The bill was out was ridiculous but they did fill everyone up on drinks before hand. The food was not overly great and I personally would not rush back.

Yelp
Every time I come to this restaurant I have an amazing experience. I love their lime margaritas! The lasagna is a good portion and the pizza is amazing! The coffee's and desserts even if it's take out is worth it, the slide is quite generous. The only thing I'd love is if this parking place expanded. Every visit I've had here is beenhard to find a parking space behind the location or around the area.

Mlu S.

Yelp
Be sure to get a reservation, regardless of the day! Extensive menu and yummy food. Save room for the chocolate cheesecake. This is a very busy restaurant.

Yelp
Really good service - some excellent dishes mixed with some disappointing up charges on lobster add ons. We were a party of nine on a Saturday night. That included for adults and five kids, and as per usual we had egg and nut allergies to be considerate of. The restaurant was able to accommodate us for a 9 PM booking. The first thing you notice when you come into the restaurant is that the ambiance is very impressive. For a downtown Moncton restaurant, we didn't really know what to expect. But the environment would rank up there with some of the finer Italian restaurant that we have dined in anywhere in North America. The servers were hospitable and friendly, and the front entrance has a huge cheesecake display that is really impressive. Our servers name was Kim, and she was diligent at working with the kitchen to address our egg and not allergies. She was friendly and attentive. What to eat. Recommended: - The chicken Parmesan was tasty and enormous. Generally I do not order chicken Parmesan but the other yelp reviews raved about it so we tried it. I was only able to finish about half a dish. Yummy. - The risotto balls as a starter also excellent crunchy and hateful, CERT half with a Pomodoro sauce and half with a pesto be sauce. - my wife and I split a bottle of the three thieves Cabernet Sauvignon, which was deliciously s tasteful. Not dry, full bodied, smooth. - The kids all had pizzas which they really enjoyed and devoured. - The bread at the beginning is excellent especially with the olive oil sauce that they serve it with - so good. Not recommended. Some of the recommended dishes were not on point. In general I would go with what you read on the online reviews versus what is recommended by staff. - The pasta pesto chicken was very heavily sauce. - candidly, the lobster upgrade for $14 was a rip off. It only came with three small pieces of lobster. Highly not recommended. - The PEI mussels were pretty average. Nothing spectacular about the dish. There was so much food we had to take our desserts to go. It was a great night had by all in our group. Again I would recommend this restaurant but I would go with either dishes that you have a preference for or that you read in the Yelp reviews, and not necessarily with the recommendation from staff. Good service overall. Thanks for a great night.

Yelp
I am temporarily working in the area and wanted to try a local favorite. I decided on a pepperoni and mushroom pizza. I was pleasantly surprised with the pizza. The pizza is thin crust and the toppings were not over or under cooked. One thing to note, the pizzas are only made in one size. If you are in the area and want to try a delicious pizza or tired of pizza chain restaurants, definitely give this place try.
google avatar

Yelp
Freshly made Italian comfort food. Chicken park is a huge dish and the pizzas are wood oven hot. The appetizers are all delicious and the portions for the mains are very large. Service is efficient and friendly

Yelp
We had a fun night with another couple. We were seated down stairs in the front room. It's a cozy, nice atmosphere. Amy was our server. She was a ton of fun. My kind of person. The food was very good, and the service was great. We'll definitely be back.
google avatar

Nina W.

Yelp
I've since been back as it was a group of 4 decision, and have to again comment on the very small portion sizes. We dined in, so I had the Siciliano Salmone and ate the bread basket myself. A friend had another fish dish and she was left wanting, too. Unfortunately for her, she's on a low carb diet so couldn't fill up on the bread. One in our party had a pizza and he seemed to be the only one who was satisfied in terms of portion size. I can't recall what pizza he ordered, but he shared that he enjoyed it. I realized it's the bread that makes the meal 'enough' and it's unfortunate to begin to think about a snack before you even leave and for the cost, I'm just not sold on this place. It's tasty, just not enough. Again, I won't avoid it, but I won't choose to go there if I'm flying solo for business travel.

Yelp
Seated promptly (well it was a pretty early dinner 5pm). Nice decor. One of the nicer restaurants in Moncton. Had the spaghetti puttanesca. Pretty good. Stir it up well. Only wish is that the bread was served warm. Would really tee everting up nice. Waitress was nice and attentive. 4 stars because it's not as good as other Italian places I've had, but still really good.
google avatar

Stephen C.

Yelp
Excellent service, always, always busy. The portions are large, and decent tasting. The atmosphere is really nice, and I'll say it again the service we had was too notch. If you like cheesecake you'll be very happy with the enormous slice.

Yelp
As a waitress myself for 5+ years, I don't usually leave reviews but here we go... So for my birthday I decided to go eat super with my friends and I had made a reservation the day prior. Once we got inside I told the hostess my name for the reservation and she proceeded to tell me that they were full and that she had been seating walk ins so that it would be around 20 mins or so for a table. The way she worded it made me confused because reservations should be a priority. Anyways, I wasn't going to let that affect my night. We waited around for about 20 mins and finally got seated. The service was somewhat mediocre. I never got my drink I had asked for, had to ask multiple times for water refills and the waitress never picked up any plates off the table (from apps to deserts). The plates were very obvs piled at the end of the table, easy for anyone to grab and go. I would of understood if they were very busy at that time (8-9pm) but it wasn't. Couple mins after paying (deserts still on our plates) we were having a conversation when another server reached between my friends to grab there water glasses which still had water in it. Basically a get out were closed signals, yet there were still other tables around us eating. I could go on and on but honestly I'm mind blowed at the poor service we received today.

Yelp
Absolute great recommendation from our hotel, we had an amazing meal equaled, by both the service and ambiance

Yelp
Amazing! Call for reservations, this is the best Italian food I've had outside Florence. We ordered the Gusto Verde salad which proved to be enormous but so fresh and delicious we ate every bite. Our entrees were Spaghetti and Meatballs and Spaghettini? Alla Putanesca. Both were excellent. Save room for a slice of cake!
google avatar

Neo V.

Yelp
Gluten free option galore! So many options too choose from especially Gluten free selections. They had Gluten Free bread available for dipping in olive oil. I had the gluten free fettuccine alfredo, it was really good and and a good size portion. The person with me had a pizza which was wood fired in an amazing pizza oven, the center attraction at the restaurant for sure!
google avatar

Jeff H.

Yelp
Have been here several times. The food and service are both consistent. Fresh home made pasta. Chicken Parmesan is large enough to feed 2 people, Alfredo sauce is flavorful. Pizza is delicious. Bread served with oil and house mixed spices are a great starter. Calamari is some of the best I've eaten. The cheesecake desserts though hyped a bit, are a bit of a disappointment. Personally the cake portion tastes like a mix, the frosting from a pail. I rarely eat dessert with a large meal, so it's not a big deal. The meal is the star!!

Jon C.

Yelp
Good food with a good atmosphere. Location's a bit sketchy as it's close to a sketchy tavern. I ordered Chicken Parmigiano. It was a little on the dry side, but made up for it with the portion size. I noticed the price was a bit steep for the complete package including coffee and dessert. The wait staff was excellent.
google avatar

Sophia H.

Yelp
Nice dinner out with the girls. Had a delicious Tuscan salad but the chicken was rather dry. The carrot cheese cake made up for it as wow! What a gigantic piece and Sooo tasty! Our server was friendly and knowledgable and delt with a large table of women well. Time wise we waited a bit but to be expected with the quality of food. Price wise it was on par with other Itialian resturants.

Troy H.

Yelp
Service is always great and the food is amazing. Great atmosphere and make sure to save room for the cake!

Yelp
You walk in and you feel as if you have entered a restaurant inside a castle. The beautiful modern decor with loads character shines and you just feel excited to be there. This place has been here for a few years now and is still such a great addition to what is considered 'fine dining'. Even though the restaurant looks amazing, people were still coming in in hoodies and jeans and beautiful dresses. Our waiter was Justin and I don't think I've had such great wait staff in such a while. He knew the answers to all my menu questions, he was prompt on refills and checked back a ton (but not crazy). He is definitely an asset to Gustos. We began with a delicious bread and herb dish - you mix the herbs with the table olive oil to achieve your desired consistency. I believe this is such a great touch and it tasted so good! I ordered the half chicken with mashed potatoes. The potatoes were a little too rich but still pretty good and the chicken was delectable! The 'veggies' were literally two trees of cauliflower that looked like they were put into a fire - that was disappointing. My bestie got the chicken parm and she loved it! The sauce was smooth with tons of flavour. She had so much that she packed it up for lunch the next day. We finished with an unbelievable lemon cheese cake. I think I have found my dessert restaurant when I am back home. The cheese cake is what bumped this review from 3.5 stars to 4. It was everything you could ever hope for in a dish. We were incredibly happy with the consistency, the size of the portion and the taste. Everything about this cake was delicious. There is also a ton of gluten free options - unfortunately not as many dairy free / vegan options as most of the dishes are premade Now to get to the down and dirty - their washroom was a mess. It wasn't well lighted at all and I felt kind of disgusted to be washing my hands in there. You would assume with such a high standard of decor that the washroom would be more than a janitors closet - also having to go down SO many stairs in heels to use the restroom is insane.

Yelp
Reserved at Gusto last night for 6PM with my son. All was well until I got to the second last bite of my dish. On the food was a long strand of dark hair. I didn't mention it to our waitress as she was a super host. Instead, I thought I'd post a review here. I realize that at times things such as this can happen but regardless; it's so disgusting to see a person's hair stuck to your pasta.

Annalyn C.

Yelp
The server was amazing, but the food was just okay. The prices were high and the portions were small. We had mussel for appetizer and my partner ordered seafood risotto and every second mussel was just full of sand and one mussel has a rock in it. Wish we just went somewhere else. Very disappointing. I work in one of the hotels downtown and lots of our guests ask for restaurant recommendations and i will definitely not recommend this one.
google avatar

Margaret A.

Yelp
Would not recommend the New Years event to anyone. Overpriced at $63 for frozen food and long lines.
google avatar

Sandi P.

Yelp
AMAZING!!!! Call for reservations, this is the best Italian food I've had outside Florence. We ordered the Gusto Verde salad which proved to be enormous but so fresh and delicious we ate every bite. Our entrees were Spaghetti and Meatballs for hubby and I had Spaghetini alla Puttanesca. Both dishes were fantastic. We had very good wine by the glass and couldn't resist taking home a slice of cake.

Yelp
Very good atmosphere, excellent food, and helpful staff. We will definitely be back! The Steak Toscano was cooked perfectly. My wife had the Chicken Parmigiana and it was excellent. the wine selection was very good. My son had a pizza and loved watching the chef through the entire process. The most important thing to me at any restaurant is the service and Gusto does not disappoint. The staff sets the bar high and delivered on all counts. I would definitely recommend Gusto to my friends and family!

Yelp
Food was great and ambiance also!! Will go back at each visit back to Moncton! Service was also amazing, great rapport qualité prix

Yelp
The food is spectacular and the service is amazing! Dessert is a must which I like to take home with me as I'm normally full from dinner. I'm a huge fan of the dairy/gluten free dessert :)

Yelp
Drop in dinner during happy hour. Great salad and a pizza. The Works Happy hour prices. Dinner for two for less the. $60. Including desert.

Yelp
Wow! This was our first time here. We were in Moncton for the weekend to attend volleyball competitions. The atmosphere is very cozy and inviting. The service was second to none and the food was simply amazing! I have the chicken parmesan and the serving was so big I couldn't finish it. Definately give this place a try!
google avatar

Yelp
Terrific food, service and atmosphere. A terrific restaurant in the heart of downtown Moncton. Thank you Jeramie for the excellent recommendations and attention to detail.
google avatar

Leanne M.

Yelp
Atmosphere was really nice. The portions were much larger than I expected but the food was generally good. The Arancini was definitely the standout for us. Service was great too!
google avatar

Oren T.

Yelp
Everything about this restaurant is great! The atmosphere is excellent - very warm and inviting. The service was excellent. Very attentive servers. The kind of place where servers will help you even if you're not their table. As for the food, it starts with a herb and oil mixture served with bread that is outstanding. The meals - a pizza, a couple of pasta dishes we had were all great but the highlight was the gluten free fettuccini alfredo. My teenage son had always wanted to try it but could never have because of the gluten. Well, needless to say, he loved it. It's rare to find an Italian restaurant that does such a good job with GF - lots of options too! If you're downtown Moncton, this is the restaurant to go to!
google avatar

Luke R.

Yelp
I decided to try the Tapas section in the basement, and was impressed. Great decor reminiscent of Some of the better restaurants in Montreal, great service and a decent wine list. We chose 5 different dishes in order to taste a variety if different types of food. The oysters were perfect. Great flavours in the complements were perfect additions to the fresh oysters. The pear salad, pear risotto, and crispy scallops weren't great, but the mushroom bruschetta more than made up for the other 3 lacklustre dishes. A fantastic dessert list topped off the menu. Overall a good experience, but i would suggest sticking to meats and seafood dishes as their vegetarian options lacked flavour.
google avatar

Matt D.

Yelp
Best Italian restaurant in Moncton... maybe even NB. Their pizza was fantastic, the pasta was fantastic and the service was on point. The only regret that I have is that I dint order more food.
google avatar

Sean B.

Yelp
This was the best restaurant that I ate at in Moncton. It was recommended by my client and it was everything they assured me it would be. Great food and great device. The ambiance was awesome too.

Michelle A.

Yelp
Great dinner for our family of five. Delicious pasta and pizza. No room for the cheesecake. Next time! Not cheap but worth it!
google avatar

Kent G.

Yelp
This restaurant is a real gem. A great wine list combined with excellent service in a friendly atmosphere. The steak Toscana was superb, carbonara and calamari deserve an honorable mention. Definitely on my list for the next visit to Moncton.
google avatar

Marc B.

Yelp
Good food in general, the ambience is very nice also! I took the pizza most times i went there since they have a really nice pizza oven so i highly recommend taking one. Don't eat too much before dessert would be my biggest suggestion...because their dessert are delicious and enormous! Only reason i gave it 4 stars is because the last time i went the wait time to get our food was exceptionally long, it was only once out of multiple time. Usually they are very quick
google avatar

Connie L.

Yelp
This is my favorite spot to eat in Moncton. The atmosphere is on point; warm, spacious, and trendy. The location is perfect, right downtown, and close to all of the best bars and pubs to continue your night on the town. As for food, I've never been disappointed. The herb and oil mixture served with the bread before your meal is a very nice touch. My favorite items on the menu are the spaghetti and meatballs and the butternut squash ravioli. The pizzas, cooked in the wood oven, are also great. Service has always been excellent. Your glass will never be empty.

Jon S.

Yelp
Very nice place. When we went it was packed and had very good service. Ordered the wrong wine and they changed it no problem. The food was amazing. The open kitchen concept is great. Nothing bad to say about our experience will definitely go back.
google avatar

Yelp
Stopped here on a whim. After being cordially escorted to our table, we met Thomas, or waiter. We went through the menu with him as some of our party are gluten free. We all agreed that we had the best lunch so far on this Trip. It was a pleasure meeting Thomas. He made our lunch very special. I love this place!

Yelp
LOVE Gusto! Amazing food, amazing service and the atmosphere is fun! Parm chicken WOW! Can't leave without the amazing cake!
