Gwakji Beach

Gorgeous beach! We visited outside of official beach season so there we no chairs for rent, no lifeguards, shower rooms were closed and part of the beach was covered. But still – it was really bautiful, crystal-clear water and huge beach so you could definitely find a nice quiet spot.

Beach lovers! This is where you wanna be. No crowds no children and 1 km of sand and clear waters. However, be careful of swimming here as there is a public a movement warning that you could be swept out to sea if you are not careful. There are chairs and tables floor rental and a toilet for showering nearby . Take a dip and enjoy the blue waters of the Yellow Sea

If I could rated zero, I would! The life guards at 4:00pm told everyone to get out of the water even though the water was calm. It’s like they can’t do their job, like saving people! How are you going to advertise the beach for jeju tourism and say you can’t go in. I went to another beach and they also told us we couldn’t go in. Is it because we are not native to Korea, is that why they are discriminating? We couldn’t even put our feet in. I put some photos and videos to show you how calm the water was. For sure these life guards don’t even know how to swim which is their job.

Beautiful beach with white sand and blue water. Great place to take photos. Nice black volcanic rock. Very family friendly. There are bathrooms and an open air changing area for men and another one for women. Amazing place to watch the sunset. There are a few cafés around if you are hungry and want to buy something to eat.

Super clean white sand beach in early morning. The different areas of the beach offers water at different temperatures and textured sand. The bright green seaweed is unique. swimming is fun and the facilities nearby are great. One of my favourite beaches in South Korea.

Pretty coastal walk. A lot of people canoning and snorkeling. Free outdoors pool area separated by males and females. There are free roofted chairs/tables where you can sit and enjoy the view. I swam in the area where there were a lot of kids, water was clear, not deep, and soft waves. Sand not as soft/fine as Hyeopjae Beach but if I lived here, I would probably come here a lot with friends/family. 🥰 Good day

The day I went the water was cold but the benefit of this beach is the water is shallow so you can go out pretty far from land to swim without it being deep.

The best coast i have seen in Jeju so far. The awesome coast line, nature and sea combinatation with awesome vibe of cultural elements with palm trees. Ddfinitely must visited place.
