Gwanganli Hotel 1

I absolutely loved my stay here. The accommodations were all lovely and the staff was very generous and kind. The view from the hotel of the beach is beautiful, and I went when it was raining! I would definitely stay here again the next time I visit Busan as a solo traveller.

Great location and view of the bridge/beach. Hotel concept was white and room looks very clean. They provide a unique bag with snacks and drink items. Guests only allowed to wear slippers in hotel which kept everything clean. Improvements can be made to allow more options to hang clothes. Overall splendid hotel.

Google says 2 star hotel, but if you get one of the premium rooms it’s a 5 star experience! Genuinely one of the best hotels I’ve stayed at… beautiful view, amenities, common spaces, very clean, great service, the friendliest staff. They were so accommodating to my odd requests and made me feel so welcome. I didn’t want to leave so I even booked another night. Highly recommend!

Hotel 1 is 99/100! This is the best hotel/hostel I’ve ever stayed in Korea. Here are some pros that surprised/attracted me during the 3-night stay in Hotel 1! 1. It’s so convenient that it’s just 1-min walk from the hotel to the beach! 2. If you are a solo traveller, please book a premium capsule which is just in front of the sea view. I have booked this kind of capsule and I felt amazing watching the view from my window (Yes! Capsules also have windows!) 3. The facilities are amazing. 1/F & 2/F are the common areas where you can sit on the mat /sofa listening to music, relaxing and looking at the beautiful view. 10/F is an outdoor rooftop where you can take good pictures!!!! 4. The staffs are nice and helpful. I especially want to compliment on two staffs, Chen(correct me if I spell your name wrong!!) He helped me carry my luggage for checkin on 30/1, helped me to get to sasang station and take a bus to Yeosu on 1/2 morning (also reminded me to take an umbrella coz it was raining), and helped me with the checkout on 2/2 :) Another staff is Helen. She is very nice that she game me two candies, helped me to call a taxi to Haeundae bus terminal and carried my luggage to the taxi. She even reminded me that there are morning gift bags which consist of milk, cereals and cup noodles!! I just realised it the day I checked out 🙈 Two of them also speak good English. 5. The hotel provides you with a set of pyjamas (only the first day), two towels, earplugs, water and juice every day. 6. The bed is comfy that it even has an electric heating blanket. However. The washing machine was broken during my stay so I couldn’t use it to wash or dry my clothes. It is quite disappointing. Also, there is no place for hanging the clothes. It would be great if I could hang up the washing 🙈

I stayed for just one night with my sister, it was cute, very tight but comfortable. Amazing views! You can see the beach across the street Really cheap for what it incluyes

It's okay for what I paid, however there are a few major flaws. I'm on the 5th floor (women's only capsule rooms) which are extremely hot. There's no A/C, and they only give you a little fan that's about the same size as a handheld fan. The showers are private showers, yet only 2 of the showers lock. They all have locks on them, there's 6, and 4 of the locks do not work which means anyone can walk in at any given time. The toilets are similar. One of the toilets had its handle installed backwards, which means anyone can open it from the outside even if it's locked on the inside, and you cannot open it from the inside unless it's unlocked. It's also very bright in the room constantly. There's fogged windows with no window shades (I do not have an outside view, it could be different) which allows light in at all times and the hallway light is always on. There's only curtains for the doors, which is okay, but this means anyone can go into your room at anytime. Not to mention, you don't even need a room card to go upstairs (if you're using the stairs, not the elevator) which means anyone who doesn't even have a reservation here can easily go up onto your floor and into your room. I paid $40 USD per night, which is extremely cheap considering it's right on the beach, but I definitely expected it to be better.

The staff here was great! The young lady who was working reception was exceptionally helpful and a really hard worker! I got a capsule with a view, one the 1st night I had a bottom bunk which has a small wall blocking the view when laying down so the second night I moved to an upper bunk and it was stunning! Across the street from the beach, many restaurants in the area, 7-11 on the same block & about 10 minute walk to public bus. Hot tubs & laundry were out of order but the morning breakfast goody bag was an unexpected bonus!

Spectacular view of the gwangalli bridge. Hotel room is clean and nice. Gonna remove shoes and place in the locker, and wear their slippers in the hotel.
