We have stayed at this hotel a few times but not for quite a few years. We noticed a big difference since visiting last. |They seem to cater more for weddings than just your average guest now. When looking through their Facebook page 9 posts out of 10 are advertising for weddings and we weren't even sure they were still taking bookings for regular guests. The restaurant is no longer open and it seemed very quiet there although we did stay on a Monday night in January so we put it down to that. We stayed in 1 of the rooms out of the hotel which was fantastic, very clean, spacious room with a huge bed, a double shower and a beautiful bath. We only have a shower at home so I made full use of a lovely relaxing bath. The lady who served breakfast was very nice. Chatty, happy and helpful,. Breakfast was delicious and you can tell they use decent products, no cheap rubbish

Got married here on January 25th and the venue is just amazing! It was the first one we viewed last year and instantly fell in love with the place and the staff all made us feel welcome. Julie was amazing especially with my two little girls on the day, especially as my toddlers are quite shy around people they don't know but they were laughing and dancing away with Julie on the dance floor! All the staff were amazing and I couldn't of asked for a better day :) Julie and her team work tirelessly to make sure every little detail is under control. Everyone that attended said they absolutely loved the venue also. We stayed in the bridal suite on the night and it was so beautiful. Will definitely be returning just to stay the night there! Thank you to Julie and her team for making our day as magical as can be!

I visited this hotel today with a friend who was taking photos for a wedding, the place is lovely with some quaint little cozy seating areas, the staff are extremely helpful and really pleasant. |Julie the wedding organiser is so professional and her attention to detail is second to none. |The venue was absolutely gorgeous, the area where the wedding ceremony took place was so pretty and the foyer leading to it was lovely. |The staff were on hand all the time helping guests and directing them to where they needed to be, |It had beautiful well kept gardens perfect for wedding photos with lots of little different areas for different arrangements of photos for small or larger weddings. |A lovely seating area at the top looking down on well kept, beautiful gardens. |Once the photos were taken it was back into the main room for the wedding breakfast Wow what a transformation it looking stunning with beautiful arranged tables. We were not actual guest but we were offered food from Julie which was so nice she didn’t have to do that, the food was WOW absolutely delicious and we sent clean plates back and my friend said 🙈 if I was at home I would be licking this plate 🤣🤣 I totally agree. |Well done to all the young staff you were so professional and I was impressed that’s every table was serves like a military operation amazing to see , Well done all I would 100% recommend this place .

Attended a wedding here. The venue, catering and staff were all of a very high standard. The whole day went perfectly and I'd thoroughly recommend the Emlyn Hotel as a venue.||However, several of the guests who stayed overnight, mentioned the poor quality of the beds. Ours was a sprung bed, very, very firm. I could feel the springs and had to sleep on the duvet.|It was a shame, as otherwise the room was very comfortable.

Lovely hotel , for overnight stay. On arriving we were met by Josh on reception. Told us all we needed to now about stay. |On inspection of our room no 1 we found a leak in radiator shower room . |Spoke to Josh and he said he would relocate us to a new room .|We were happy to stay in room and he said house keeping would solve issue next day.|Josh provided us with information on pubs shops and restaurants very polite service.|Breakfast was a good choice, lovely staff and very friendly.|Definitely stop over again when next in this area

Attended a wedding, a shame as its not disabled friendly. A lot more could of been done and wouldn't take to much work. The alcohol was ridiculously overpriced, £8 a pint and couldn't drink it as was disgusting. Went next door to the other pub which had a cracking selection of drinks.

Attended a wedding at the Emlyn hotel, the manager was very rude, shouting and slamming doors!! Staff kept asking the singer to turn the music down at 9pm. The singer turned the music down three times, the staff still told him to turn it down! ! Drinks were well over priced. Wouldn’t recommend it!!

Yelp
This is a pleasant hotel set in the centre of a pleasant town. The rooms are modern, well equipt and very comfortable. The bar meals are excellent and I would recommend the faggots. However, the best aspect of the hotel are the staff who are cheerful, polite and helpful

Yelp
The rooms here are comfortable, modern and well equipt. The beds are comfortable and the decor is relaxing and pleasant. There is in the room facilities such as freeview, wifi and tea and coffee making facilities. The full breakfast is generous and of good quality. The sausages were, however, rather stale and odd on our visit.

Yelp
Pleasant? Sure. Nice? Sure? Clean? Not even close. Attentive personnel? Nope. The check in staff does as best as they can. Sadly that can not be said for household nor the bartender. The hotel is by far being cleaned on a daily basis. The beds are made but not changed. Nor is the carpets vacuumed or shower cleaned- with empty shampoo bottles left in the shower. And hair. The bartender does not have the basic ingredients to make a mojito nor their signature cocktail Emlyn Dragon. Not to mention their lack of maintenance or their fond of telling adult people what to do or not to do, with their many many printed signs. Despite the fact that room service closes at 9pm. The shower cabinets do not close properly, causing the bathroom floor to flood. The overall maintenance is showing with lack of paint and so forth. Then there is the breakfast. Coffee is out in the open, so is the juice. Tea you need to beg for. When you do get it, it's cold- at least according to the tables around me. So you do toast. That you get 15 min prior to the rest of your breakfast. Welcome to the 1950s's. If there was a Radisson I would stay there. If there was a Hilton I would stay there. If there was a Marriott I would stay there. Hell, if there was a Clarion I would stay there. This is not island living- just a hillbilly hick town in the middle of freaking nowhere. I wish there was an option.
