Cafe inside Rays Indoor MTB Park was Gypsy Beans! Friendly staff at this location. Coffee was great. Gluten free options but nothing dairy free. They do have some vegan burrito but no idea what it consisted of. Baked goods looked SO yummy.

Squeeeee I love coffee. I need it daily. When visiting Cleveland it was nice to have a little corner shop within walking distance from my Airbnb how delightful! The atmosphere was great and I felt really comfortable ordering there even though it was my first time. I couldn’t leave without a sweet treat also. Makes the coffee perfect in my opinion. If you’re on the go or just wanting to hang out and type up your memoir this is a great spot for it!

Google
Great spot- similar to Luna Cafe; breakfast grab n go, tons of pastries, stromboli and pizza, + soup. They can heat stuff up. And of course coffee but I don’t drink that. 👍

Google
We tried: peanut butter chocolate chip muffin, peach turnover, lemon ice muffin, cherry cheesecake, swine fest, Asiago bagel w/cream cheese, greek, hot chocolate, strawberry banana smoothie, and plain latte. The service was excellent! Quality of the food is outstanding! Highly reccomend!

Loved this place. The vibe is warm and welcoming. Staff are super friendly and make you feel important. The food is the real star of the show. So fresh and absolutely delicious.

Google
Cool coffee shop with tons of flavor options. The staff is friendly and attentive. It’s nice to see a coffee shop open for dine in which has been a huge mystery to me for why other coffee shops don’t offer dine-in... Parking is located behind the building and there are other public parking areas nearby. The area offers many cool places to check out. Their pastries and muffins look amazing even though we didn’t get one.

Google
Stumbled on this place with my wife and kids after spending a few hours at pinball across the street. I can not say enough good things about every aspect of it. Friendly and accurate service. Great coffee. Great food. Plenty of seating. One kid got a lunch sandwich. The other got a breakfast sandwich - breakfast served all day. Coffee was excellent and the breakfast burrito looked good on the menu so I ordered it even though I walked in with no intentions of eating. The burrito was incredible. Very happy I tried it out. I honestly don’t remember what my wife got, but she liked it. Took a blueberry muffin and some type of coconut bar to eat later on. They were both excellent as well. We live 30 minutes away but would happily go out of our way to grab coffee and food at Gypsy again.

A great small cafe to pick up that super customized delicious coffee and a delectable sweet treat to get you day started. Great for quick stops or stay in store and enjoy the vibe while you write that paper or chat with friends. Full details: This is a really awesome gem of a cafe with super delicious coffees and amazing quality pastries at good prices. The vibe is pretty chill and you can definitely relax and have an awesome convo with friends or family with relaxing music in the background. Or better, just relax in a corner and focus on that project or paper you need to write, altho if you want absolute quiet you will need to bring headphones or be really good at blocking out the hustle in the background. Staff are amazing and friendly. The parking is obviously going to be tough given the location, but with a little 5 min walk you will be fine. The atmosphere is pretty nice, but to be honest I'd like it a little brighter or more upbeat interior vibe. However if you're going for a nice "gypsy mix" of colors and decor, this is definitely a winner. All in all, I'd recommend a visit for the coffees and pastries at the very least, will not dissapoint and the menu variety will probably have you returning for a lot more.

Yelp
Delicious wraps and sandwiches to choose from. I love the fact that you can also create your own with the ingredients that you like the most! I love their chicken salad croissant with a side of potato salad, delicious! Their coffees are so good too, extremely difficult to only choose one from and their bakery is to die for! Their pecan cheesecake is so unexpectedly addictive you won't want to stop eating it!

Rachel R.

Yelp
A nice coffee shop with "around the world" themed latte flavors with each latte named after a different country or region! All the pastries are locally made and the coffee is locally roasted. Service was friendly and happy!

Zavier H.

Yelp
Worthy of 5 booms. Boom. Boom. Boom. Boom. Boom. Food was well priced and delicious. The staff was consistent and made sure we had everything we ordered, during a very large rush. Cozy with a diner sort of feel to it.

Nupur S.

Yelp
One of the best spots in Cleveland! A for amazing! B for best! C for cozy! D for damn good coffee! Thank you and the owner is the best!

Andrea T.

Yelp
Gypsy Beans is the perfect example of an independent neighborhood coffee shop. They offer plenty of seating inside and out. They have coffee, meals and bakery. I have never had a bad experience. Most times of the day there are several people doing work just meeting up for conversation. Being at Gypsy Bean just gives you a nostalgic feeling. They have these huge windows looking out to the street. The shop is located on the corner of W.65th and Detroit Ave. It is fun to sit, enjoy your coffee and watch what is happening outside. This is one of those places if I lived in the neighborhood I would be there every day.

Adriano B.

Yelp
The staff was rude, especially the guys that took our order. The pastry was average at best. I ordered a latte and I'm an avid coffee drinker just to add that, and the espresso shots were just burnt, the coffee was bitter as they come.

Zach H.

Yelp
Gypsy coffee shop was super cute and unique. The staff were very friendly and answered all my questions. I ended up with the tropic which is coconut and macadamia nut. Very good. Highly recommend visiting this place next time you're in the area!

Emily S.

Yelp
Haven't had food from here but got a flavored ice coffee and it was yummy! It's right on the Detroit Shoreway so a cute area to walk around during summer. Staff was happy to give drink recommendations.

Yelp
~ gluten-free review ~ Was looking for a quick easy spot for breakfast and stumbled across Gypsy Beans online. I am a sucker for a good coffee and have tried tons of places that haven't quite made it to my repeat list. The coffee here however is incredible, I just go for an oat milk latte. They do also have breakfast sandwiches with plenty of bread options including gluten-free. I forgot to take a picture but I got the Swine Fest sandwhich on a gluten-free bagel and it was really good. My gf friends will know that most bagels are so small you can barely fit one egg on it however this was a normal size bagel and the eggs were not from a can. I will definitely be coming back and making this a regular coffee spot.

Hannah S.

Yelp
The staff are very friendly and have a great sense of humor. Ordered a lavender green tea that was very refreshing and had the perfect amount of ice. For lunch, I opted for the chili and BLT. The chili had good flavor, on the spicy scale I would say it was mild. The BLT was so close to being amazing, the textures were prime, the serving size was perfect but it was just too salty for my personal palate. The atmosphere is very relaxed and there is a good mix of people being productive and people socializing.

Yelp
On a trip to Cleveland one weekend, we decided to stop in Gypsy Beans for breakfast. Since it was a Sunday morning, we didn't know how busy it might be, but we were happy to find that it was not very busy at all. There was no line, no wait, and plenty of seating at around 9:00 AM. There was also outdoor seating, but the coolness and the breeze coming in off Lake Erie made any desire to sit outside disappear. I ordered the salmon bagel, which came with everything you would expect to find on a salmon sandwich -- cream cheese, onions, cucumber, and capers. I had it on a rosemary bagel. It was hearty and delicious! My wife had an egg sandwich on an everything bagel, which came with cheese, sausage, and what looked like a bunch more stuff. She said it was wonderful, and it kept her full all morning and part of the afternoon. The coffees were standard. I had an almond milk cappuccino, and she had an Americano. The neighborhood is cute and looks pretty safe, and it's relatively close to the park bordering Lake Erie. So, would I go back? Of course! I rarely get to Cleveland, but I certainly will stop in again if I'm in the neighborhood!

Yelp
Pros: Great location They play good music Lots of pastry options Really comfortable place to do work or hang with a friend Cons: Bad coffee Medium/good muffins Summary: I like going here because of the location and it's my favorite coffees shop to bring my computer and work at, but the goods are just...fine.

Andy C.

Yelp
Window seat, iced chai, and a chocolate chip muffin. I wish I lived closer... Forget working at HOME. I'd be here daily. And the cute barista guy is a good singer too!

Denise A.

Yelp
If you are a real coffee drinker (not those speciality sugary coffee drinks) this place is not it (in my opinion). I ordered a regular coffee and I received it at room temperature. I went back to let them know my coffee wasn't hot and the man went to the sink and put hot water directly in the cup! I assume the coffee was instant because he said, "this is as hot as I can get it." What? Had I known, I would have gone to Circle K or McDonalds for a fresh brew. I'd rather he put the cup in the microwave especially if it was not freshly brewed coffee at a coffee shop. I'm unsure of anything else at this place because I only had coffee.

Nicole M.

Yelp
Since moving to Lakewood I've been able to try a lot of great coffee places but nothing beats Gypsy- especially for lunch! My white bean wrap was phenomenal and they have the best americano hands down!

Michael M.

Yelp
Our second visit to Gypsy Beans was just as enjoyable as the first -- if not more! We were greeted with friendly customer service, feeling welcomed from the start! They have a large selection of inventive lattes -- named after places around the world. I chose the Iced Moscow Latte (Raspberry & White Chocolate) again because I loved it so much the first visit. After the first sip, I'm reminded why it's one of my favorite coffee combos ever! It's fruity and refreshing! With a blueberry danish, it was a great breakfast treat! Michael chose the Iced Antarctic Latte (French Vanilla & Mint). It had good flavor -- the mint worked well with the French vanilla, very fresh & natural tasting. We'll definitely be back to try their food menu! See you again soon, Gypsy Beans!

Ruby T.

Yelp
this was a very wonderful place to grab a nice iced coffee. I had ordered the Moscow iced latte. I added some caramel into the mix and the man taking my order had asked if I wanted caramel milk, caramel syrup, or caramel drizzle which I thought was very kind and considerate. The drink was very sweet and delicious. I loved how they had the coffee stirring sticks right next to the straws as well because many coffee places I go to have nothing for me to mix my drink with. They will definitely be seeing me in there again. Not only was my drink delicious but the service was excellent!

Greg W.

Yelp
One of my favorite coffee shops!! I always get a piece of bakery and I've never had a bad one. Their muffins are tender, their brownies are delicious, and their cookies are HUGE. Their coffee is a tad strong for those who like it but I get the Moscow which has white mocha and raspberry and it's wonderfully sweet without being overwhelming. The environment is nice and usually not super loud despite being popular. I just went today and it was their 16th birthday!! They had free cupcakes and I gotta say they need to make cupcakes a regular menu item because they were just as good as the rest of their bakery. 4.8/5

Kelsi K.

Yelp
Cute little coffee bar / cafe in the Cleveland Detroit shore way area. Variety of exotic coffees on the menu and delicious baked goods too! The muffins are fantastic. Had an iced latte and double chocolate chip muffin. Aside from the baked goods, they have a menu of items for breakfast and lunch and plenty of seating space both inside and a few tables outside. Quick and friendly service too. Wifi and plenty of areas to plug in if you're looking to stay and work. Generally not too loud inside either. Will be returning to try more passport coffees!

Jackie B.

Yelp
Such a chill welcoming vibe in this quaint coffee house. If like me you LOVE your lattes, you have to get going on there latte passport. Cool mixtures of flavors that I never would have tried at ANY other coffeehouse. The baristas are fabulously friendly and give out a loving vibe. I will Def be back

Amy J.

Yelp
Nice hipster coffee house across the corner from Brewnuts. It's where I went when I saw the Brewnuts line was two blocks long at nearly 1145am. All the regular coffee drinks can be had here plus a large assortment of baked goods. The cookies and cream brownie was a fudge iced soft brownie with crumbled Oreo-like cookies on top. It was tender throughout and the cookies made a stop at the car vacuum necessary afterward. Not bad but not amazing- then again it was a coffeehouse brownie

Leon D.

Yelp
I came here on a rainy Sunday afternoon, 15 April 2018, with a friend after the sweat local Cleveland event (free workouts). I was hungry and needed protein that would fill be up. This place didn't disappoint. Infact, I was so focused on eating and chatting with my friend Estefania that I forgot to take a photo of my food....lol. Oh well, you will have to come here to try this place out for yourself. I ordered the Thai chicken wrap which was very delicious. The sesame peanut sauce is definitely what makes this wrap stand out. YUM. I also ordered a side of chili which I believe came with the meal (a side dish option comes with the meal). The chili was alright and it didn't have much flavour. Overall, I had a good experience here. Sandwich was a bit on the pricey side. I will definitely be back though because I would like to try one of their vegan food items. P.S. I love the art on the walls and the big tables. The big tables are great for study groups.

Yelp
We hired Gypsy Beans to cater a post-wedding brunch. They were fantastic! The food was excellent and the Gypsy team were friendly, skilled and attentive. We were expecting 90 guests, and they took care of everything before, during, and after the event so I could concentrate on the guests. When they were done, they left the serving areas spotless. I cannot praise them highly enough.

Amy F.

Yelp
Amazing coffee, so delicious & their speciality drinks are very creative. I personally would of loved for someone to ask if I needed some help deciding. I'm not a coffee guru, I still don't understand how the half caf, 3 shots, vanilla up, shaken but not stirred ordering goes. They were a bit closed off & just stared at me until I initiated conversation. Let's just say, that was A-W-K-W-A-R-D.

G K.

Yelp
i love the large amazon espresso coffee drink! the best thing to drink ever! a little cayenne gives a small kick at the back of your throat! definitely have to try this one out!

Marsha K.

Yelp
Looked in here today to see there sweets they looked great spoke with the friendly staff I'm not a coffee drinker so they offered me a hot chocolate so welcome on this chilly December day.I t was one of the best cup of hot chocolate I have ever had! My friend had a cup of coffee and she said it was very good too. The place is warm and welcoming.Such a gem.

Amina D.

Yelp
First time here & the baristas were really friendly & helpful. I tried the "just egg & cheese" with cheddar/croissant. It was very flavor. I asked for a good sugar free option and they recommended the Beach Baby iced which has sugar free coconut /banana /chocolate and I had it made with 1/2 skim 1/2 cream. It was amazing! I wish they had this place where I live.

Amrit S.

Yelp
In adorable place but don't believe the sign in the window that says vegan specialties a couple prepackaged cookies is about it

Ashley O.

Yelp
Love love love Gypsy Beans! From their drinks to my personal favorite the open faced hummus, it is all delicious. It is topped with pistachios, red peppers and is on top of toast points. The inside is quaint and pretty spacious. The drinks are good. Baked goods are really tasty too.

Erica F.

Yelp
Super cute location and interior. Lots of seating and free wifi. This was our first time in so we had some questions about the menu but the woman working was short when answering. The cinnamon rolls were served room temperature but were very good. We both got flavored lattes that tasted like plain coffee. Overall, pretty decent place!

Sarah P.

Yelp
Friendliest staff ever. Really good salads, sandwiches, and bread. Everything is nice and fresh. The teas are also really lovely and they have a good variety of baked goods. A very pleasant place to sit and chill too.

Paul A.

Yelp
My breakfast sandwich hit the spot. A large selection of coffee options. Relaxed atmosphere. Service was prompt.

Eshtar O.

Yelp
My new favorite cafe to visit in Cleveland. The decor style is more minimalistic, displaying antique coffee grinders along the shelves and paintings along the walls. This is perfect for those of us with shorter attention spans who really need to focus on their work. The music is eclectic and tasteful. I really recommend you try a salad here, it's very fresh, not overly dressed, great pricing to portion ratio and just all around delicious! I personally had the power salad and I absolutely loved it! It was fresh, perfectly balanced in flavor, and something that keeps a person coming back. The berry bliss iced tea I had was also perfect for a summertime pick me up. The idea for the passport latte's from around the world was really fun and it definitely spoke to me as a person who travels all over and loves every minute of it! So overall, I'm going to be here a lot before I leave Cleveland so please take my money. Update! I've since had the opportunity to try another salad here. I tried the Greek Chop Salad this time and it was just as good as the Power Salad which leads me to believe all the salads are bomb here. I was informed that all of their dressings are made in house, no wonder it's amazing! You'd be an absolute fool not to order a salad when here!

Erica M.

Yelp
This place was okay . the workers were incredibly nice but i wasn't blown away by the coffee. I got the world latte and it was WAY too sweet for me. the place is just okay but it's a nice place to check out if you're in the area.

Jeff N.

Yelp
This is another place that the only thing I didn't like was the name. Gypsy to me means vagabond or Romani. Negative connotation. Simply "beans and bakery" changes everything. Who doesn't love the thought and smell of a great bakery? Add coffee and "voila"! Friendly staff. Old world wood floors add character. That's it! Change the name to: Voila! Beans and Bakery

Sara C.

Yelp
By far my favorite coffee shop! They have coffee, bakery items, lunch items, breakfast items, and more! I do my computer work here and it's the perfect place for it. Everything I have had on the menu is delicious, fresh, and never disappoints. Staff is always very nice and helpful.

Samantha O.

Yelp
Delish! My go to is the iced lavender fog! You can't go wrong with anything from the bakery either! I love to grab a drink and explore the shops in Gordon square!

Nitha S.

Yelp
This place is super cozy, and at the same time makes you feel like you've just traveled the world! House baked goods along with so many intriguing coffees! It was hard to decide! I got the Berlin which is chocolate and cherry, it was delicious

Michael U.

Yelp
Items Selected: Carrot Cake Muffin Blueberry Scone Oatmeal Raisin Cookie Cinnamon Roll Banana Nut Bread Butterscotch Brownie Chocolate Chip Peanut Butter Muffin Located on Detroit Avenue and providing locals with everything from Vegan Cuisine and Good Coffee to local Art and Sounds, Gypsy Beans & Baking Company is an independently owned Bistro offering an all-day menu plus baked goods in a comfortable setting, a sampling of seven items on Sunday morning showing good skills with a focus on Quickbreads, Brownies, Cookies and Muffins. Located in a slowly growing Arts District, patrons on this particular day sparse as the restaurant did good business with to-go orders, it was after lengthy perusal of options that choices were selected, the still-warm Cinnamon Roll undoubtedly the best of the group beneath a slather of Cream Cheese icing while the Carrot Cake Muffin was also quite good and chock-full-of spice beneath an even thicker layer of the same Frosting. Disappointed in the dried-out Banana Nut Bread, while the Scone was more a triangular Muffin than the British version juxtaposing pockets of Butter to those of Sugar, better bites were found amongst the fluffy Peanut Butter Muffin studded with Chocolate Chips, the Oatmeal Raisin a well-done bakehouse standard but not particularly memorable when compared to the thick and fudgy Brownie topped in Butterscotch Chips.

Cara L.

Yelp
I love the simplicity of Gypsy Bean. They have a basic menu of sandwiches for breakfast and lunch and a few soups and salads. I like their around the world menu of coffee drinks. A lot of the flavors they offer I wouldn't think to put together and they work. Their regular brewed coffee is also delicious. This is a great spot to come and catch up with a friend or sit with your laptop and work.

Sequoia B.

Yelp
The best place to focus, hang out, and people watch. Love the tea and latte options and the staff is beyond nice.

Rachel G.

Yelp
This place is the best!!! Very safe during covid. Obsessed with the Mexico City latte with almond milk. I also like how they have so many food options.

Darren B.

Yelp
We love this place! We've tried a few of their lattes and I think the Londoner is my favorite. The breakfast sandwiches are amazing as well. The staff is so nice and helpful as well. No need to go to Starbucks when you have a wonderful place like this that's 10x better.

Steve M.

Yelp
Just left gypsy bean and the first thing i noticed was the great energy the staff had which is major these day's especially how down covid has most business these days with not being able to operate or be open .But lets get to the point i had the Syracuse it was great .I loved the taste og mocha and a hint of peanut butter i came with my family they seemed to enjoy it as well the pastries were an added bonus . I recommend gypsy to everyone

Olwen C.

Yelp
I love local coffee shops instead of the usual Starbucks (which I also love), and this place is located in Gordon Square so it's very convenient to stop in for coffee or a pastry. The pastries and snacks looked so good! I only had a coffee but I can't wait to come back and try something else!

Liz C.

Yelp
This is a solid cafe with a great selection of baked goods, drinks, and food options. Drink options range from one of their passport lattes (featuring different lattes plus a variety of yummy flavors like chocolate, coconut, caramel, etc), kombuchas, teas, and more. I'm not a coffee snob so I can't really comment on the quality of the coffee. Food options are pretty solid, with my go-to being the chicken apple walnut arugula salad that comes with goat cheese and warm bread on the side. I have yet to try one of their muffins but the pastries I have tasted have all been great. Service is good, and Gypsy is staffed with friendly employees. Overall, a great place to meet a friend for drinks or to get some work done. There's also a parking lot in the back that makes parking easy! My only picky complaints regard the quality of the wifi (sometimes I'm unable to connect or if I am, it is really slow) and temperature control. In the warmer months, it seems like the A/C is on blast, making it really chill and refreshing when you first walk in, but can become cold as you sit for a longer time. Just bring a sweater or some layers. I'll continue to frequent Gypsy for as long as I am in school, as they have pretty wide hours and a wide selection of drinks and food to hold me over for those studying marathons! Remember to tip the baristas too if you're like me and squat here for sometimes up to 4-5 hours at a time :)

Lauren K.

Yelp
I adore this coffee shop in Gordon Square. It's a little gritty, but isn't that what makes it so CLE? Of most of the cafés in the area, this one has the most seating. Tables everywhere! They also line the walls with rad local art for sale, which as any of you know, is the key to my heart. I'm currently staring at a phenomenal, framed drawing by Chris Deighan that I'm trying so hard to exhibit self-control on. Really fascinating people also roll through here, which makes it fun to people watch. Really awesome selection of fancy coffees and teas here, and this is one of the few places that doesn't give me a sugar rush on their drinks, which I truly appreciate. This café has tons of natural lighting, which is either a blessing or curse depending where you're sitting. My favorite table is the one in the very back, smacked against the wall (aaanddd.. there's an outlet!). When the midday light hits, it won't hurt your eyes back there. While the muffins are to die for, they also just expanded their menu to include lunch! They now have sandwiches, paninis and other small sides. It's safe to say this place is now more than just a bakery and café. Also, I loved the little message engraved on my table when I lifted up my coffee just now. Can't fake that kind of character :)

Traci N.

Yelp
Not usually big on coffee shop baked goods but their lemon poppy seed muffin is SO GOOD!!! Great service too, deserving of a thankyouformakingmydayhappiertip. Also, soy milk for those dairy-sensitive types. I wasn't crazy about the chai overall but the muffin and friendliest barista who called me "hon" in a non-offensive or creepy way made me give Gypsy 5 full stars. Across the street from Yellowcake, a fun boutique run by a former project runway star and right next door to Cleveland Public Theatre. Three cheers for Gordon Square and this coffee shop with the actually delicious muffins.
