The H10 London Waterloo hotel is very beautiful, elegant, and well-maintained. Our room was fairly spacious, with two large windows that made it bright during the day. The curtains were not blackout enough, so the room didn’t get completely dark at night.
The lighting in the room was quite dim and insufficient, especially in the evening. On the positive side, the mini-fridge was very much appreciated, and the wardrobe included a hairdryer, ironing board, and iron. The TV was large and modern.
One inconvenient detail: the power outlet near the bed was on one side only, which made charging devices uncomfortable for the person sleeping on the other side.
A rather unpleasant episode occurred the morning after our arrival when the fire alarm went off without any clear explanation. Another guest in the hallway mentioned it had happened the previous morning as well. At the reception we were told it was an “accidental” alarm, and they apologized — but the lack of clear communication was a bit unsettling.
The bathroom was modern and clean, with a spacious shower. However, the sink tap was so short that it was difficult to wash your hands without hitting your knuckles on the edge of the basin.
The hotel is conveniently located about a 6–7 minute walk from a couple of metro stations and is also well served by bus lines.
Overall, the room was modern and clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful. By signing up for the free H10 Club, you get discounts on both your stay and breakfast. We also really enjoyed the Sky Bar — a beautiful spot with a great atmosphere and professional, courteous staff. As H10 Club members, we received a delicious welcome cocktail, which was a lovely touch.
