H10 Metropolitan (Barcelona, Catalonia) 13 Hotel Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"If you can get to Barcelona’s central Catalunya rail and metro stations, you can get to the H10 Metropolitan Barcelona. Just be sure you’re not dragging your luggage into one of the other H10 hotels near the train station. There are three, after all, on two blocks, and nearly a dozen in the city at large. What makes the H10 Metropolitan a standout, apart from its location, is the fact that it’s housed in a beautiful historic building that’s been thoughtfully revamped by one of the city’s better-known interior designers, the self-described “urban archaeologist and style hunter” Lázaro Rosa-Violán." - Tablet Hotels

I went to the hotel to celebrate my 40th birthday. They were absolutely fantastic and made the experience unforgettable. They provided my girlfriend with options to surprise me in the room and the quality of what they did made me feel very special. The staff all seemed to know it was my birthday and made a point to wish me happy birthday and make me feel like a VIP. The hotel itself was clean, modern and with fantastic facilities. The breakfast was amazing, with a buffet and great quality hot menu choices too. Fantastic location, great pool and bathing areas. I could go on. Don’t hesitate to book this hotel. 5 stars!

Google
Pros. Great location, super nice staff at both reception and breakfast. Rooms are nice and comfortable beds. Lovely touch to have an amenity bag. Breakfast was great! So nice to have the mix of a la carte and euro style buffet. Recommend staying here. Cons. We were on level 1 right above the street restaurants so if you are super sensitive to noise maybe ask for a different room. We had no issues with this and the sound proofing is good. The aircon was a bit hot and didn’t get cool enough.

We stayed at the Metropolitan for two nights in July. The hotel is in a great location with lots of restaurants on the doorstep. Reception staff were friendly and helpful and we got straight in to our room on arrival at 1pm. Our room was nice and very clean. Staff at the bar were very nice and they served lovely cocktails. Breakfast was really good and again the service was excellent. Wouldn’t hesitate to come back

Really lovely hotel in great location for Barcelona city centre. Everywhere is immaculately clean. Our room was a decent size with large bathroom and cute balcony overlooking pool area.|The breakfast was fantastic with everything you could possibly want. All staff at breakfast were pleasant and helpful.|The bar service was a little slow and there are areas to sit both inside and out. |The hotel in in a great location just 3 minutes walk from the Ramblas. Cafes and restaurants very close to the hotel. Despite being in the centre, our room was so quiet. |The only negative was the receptionist who checked us in. Not very welcoming at all.|We would definitely stay here again.

Good hotel, service is good, nothing wrong there. But it also did not wow me. Keep in mind Pools are all small, pictures are wide lens. Also 90cm deep max. Location is top notch close to everything this is the most amazing selling point. Rooms are spacious, and a good look and style.

The staff were absolutely fantastic. Special thanks to Adolpho, Alberto and Marti. From start to finish myself and my partner were made to feel like the most special guests in the world. The hotel is pristine, smells fantastic, air-conditioned beautifully. Little touches from the staff and the hotel throughout our stay made this one of the most special stays we have ever had. We will ABSOLUTELY be returning to this hotel.

My husband and I stayed for 2 nights at the end of our honeymoon trip and it was the perfect location for enjoying Barcelona for 2 days. The staff was incredibly friendly during check-in and check-out, our room was spotless, and we slept very well. Walking distance from majority of Barcelona's main tourist attractions and many shops and restaurants. We didn't have time to enjoy the pool, but the rooftop and hotel bar looked great. Would definitely stay again in the future!

Visited Spain for 2 days before going on a cruise. H10 Metropolitan was the perfect spot to stay as it's right in the city and super close to restaurants and the hop on hop off bus routes. And the location itself felt safe as we walked around and explored the city. The hotel itself was fabulous, the room was spacious, it had a high end feel and it was really clean. The front desk staff were also great, everyone was super friendly, check in was easy and they made us feel comfortable. Thanks H10 Metropolitan, we'll come back here again the next time we visit!

Yelp
Wow! This hotel is just breathtaking, and service was top-notch. Book a terrace or jacuzzi suite - they are amazing. My favorite pros: Amazing AC - room cooled very quickly Both the terrace and rooftop pools were beautiful! The bar was great and affordable! Comfortable room, blackout shade, great mattress, and mini bar/espresso machine. Welcome cocktail at checkin Friendly staff, was amazed by how multi-lingual they are! Cons: Must be a US issue, but we booked rooms with two beds for our kids, and the two beds were actually one. We had this problem in multiple hotels though. We loved this hotel so much, we stayed at another later in the trip!

Yelp
Nice hotel, on the main path, walking distance to Gothic and main plazas. We could have had a free room with Marrio$$. However from our last experience we wanted to stay at H10 again! The breakfast is always amazing, & personal. Staff is very accommodating! Staff was able to get us early check in. I don't know how somehow we went through customs very fast. The wait staff in the breakfast area was very easy to understand. Staff speaks numerous languages. Room had a jacuzzi, unfortunately the weather did not cooperate as Barcelona hit over 100 degrees several days. Would stay here again!

Yelp
Just stay here...trust me... I am currently staying here for 6 nights and I couldn't be happier. This hotel is extremely clean, which is most important. Staff is so nice and helpful. Very welcoming. Rooms are a good size for a standard room and the rooms with balconies and jacuzzis are the best. I did a lot of research when booking this trip and I am so glad I booked this hotel. Great location. Housekeeping service is excellent. They are always leaving little chocolates and sweets which is a nice touch. I'm coming back to Barcelona in June and would stay here again 100%.

Yelp
This hotel is amazing. Let's start with the location. You're just a few steps away from the Plaza de Catalunya and the start of Las Ramblas. You're just steps away from the great shopping of Passaig de Gracia. Because it's so centrally located, you can take the AeroBus from the airport and it drops you off just a few steps away. Fantastic. When we arrived, there was a complimentary bottle of cava (sparkling wine) in our room. Because we signed up for the H10 club, we got a pair of free drinks at their INCREDIBLE bar. Seriously, this bar is bonkers. Ever had a caipirinha? Now's your chance. They make 'em strong here. Even if you're not staying at this hotel, come check out the bar. It's always empty even though they have super-comfy lounge furniture and an amazing private outdoor area. Our room was great. Comfortable bed. Comfortable pillows. Awesome shower. Robes. All good. We even had a balcony where we could see the Plaza de Catalunya. (It was too small to sit, but you could stand and look.) If you go up to the roof, they have a tiny pool and some lounge chairs and a gym with one treadmill and one exercise bike (I think, I can't remember the equipment). The rooftop pool area also has a bar, though it wasn't open when we went up there on a cold April afternoon. My expectations for European hotels are usually incredibly low, but the H10 Metropolitan blew them away. Note: There is another H10 even closer to the Plaza de Catalunya. Be careful you don't get them mixed up.

Yelp
My husband and I decided to go on a European tour for our honeymoon - Paris, Barcelona, and Berlin! We were going to spend 4 nights in Barcelona, so we decided to book an AirB&B. My husband made a mistake and booked our AirB&B for 3 nights only, and couldn't get the 4th night, and we couldn't cancel. We ended up booking H10 Metropolitan for the last night, and BOY WAS I HAPPY THAT HAPPENED! The look and feel of this place is amazing! It's an eclectic mix of mid-century modern with modern touch. I have some photos so I'll post those as well, but the lobby made me feel at home with the Bauhaus furniture, a ceiling mounted fireplace, and little candy jars everywhere. The furniture is very unique, and definitely not cheap, so definitely makes the lobby very unique and quirky. The service is superb. We got kicked out of our AirB&B at 11AM, so we walked over at 11:15AM, asking if they can at least drop off our luggage. It's right in the middle of city central -- it's right next to the Plaza Catalunya, where the Aerobus drops you off from the airport. It's right next to a lot of the shopping in the area as well! They tried checking if there was a room available, but there wasn't. They took care of our luggage, and we got to at least check in and do the paperwork first. They asked if we wanted any water, juice, or champagne as we did our paperwork -- whaat?? And there was a nice ass bar cart right behind the reception! We came back around 2PM for check in (2PM check in, 12PM check out!!!). We asked to grab our luggage, and the bellman said he will bring it to our room. Our room is so cute! It definitely keeps the interiors and the feel of the lobby, and it's pretty spacious! The bellman came slowly after to drop off our luggage, and even gave us a tour of the room! He made sure we knew how to use the Nespresso machine, made sure we knew the water on the table is complimentary, that we had a balcony, and that we had a safe, and the safe has international outlet (in case you forgot an outlet converter!). We went upstairs to the rooftop pool and the small gym. It's really a small gym, don't expect much. But the pool was nice! We didn't go in, but if it was warmer, we would have! There's lounge chairs next to the pool, some towels, and a great view! Great for lounging. My husband and I went out to do some shopping, and came back around 5PM to change for dinner. I was curling my hair when we heard a knock on our door. Someone came with a bottle of wine, 2 wine glasses, and some chocolate truffles! We thought that was the nicest and sweetest thing! We felt so awesome, and so we opened the bottle to start our night!! We got back from dinner, and someone had left some some Lindt's chocolates in our room! We seriously felt like royalty during our stay! We showered and they have (2) shower robes and slippers! It was so soft, and we loved it! I really can't get over the amenities, the service, and the overall decor! The location is also great, and we opened our patio to get the city noise. The city is so vibrant, and we are right in the middle of it! We will definitely try to go to another H10 hotel after this one night stay. If anything, we hope to go back to Barcelona, and we can stay here again!!!

Yelp
This place is literally as good as it gets. My husband and I spent my birthday and Christmas here, a total of 4 nights. The staff was just amazing, we couldn't have asked for more. Everybody went out of their way to make our stay special. The hotel is located in a very good location for visiting attractions. Everything is super clean and neat. The concierge will help you with anything and everything you could need from ordering flowers, to booking special reservations, to printing reservation tickets. The breakfast buffet in the morning is also amazing! Amazing, Amazing, Amazing!!!!! If you go to Barcelona you MUST STAY HERE!!!!

Yelp
I sent my son to Barcelona for a few days. He had his watch and Passport hidden in the room. When he got back from touring, he went back to his room and his watch was missing. He called me all upset and I told him to immediately call security. He calls and they say, not possible, no one has ever had anything stolen in our hotel. Thats BS. Then he calls down to speak with the Manager. No manager working in the hotel. So now I call and ask to speak to an associate manager. They said we have no other managers. Then I asked to speak with Security, they have gone for the day. Whats the point of having a security department if they all leave at 6PM. Hotels are a 24/7 operation. They send my son to the police department, from all the thefts there was a four to five hour to file a report. You cant call the police. They have cameras for the hallways but said security is not allowed to access them. They are all in on it. So if you want your valuables stolen pick this hotel.

Yelp
My Trip to Barcelona was awesome, unfortunately my experience at my hotel was not. The Hotel staff while I was out for the day went into my personal belongings, and stole a watch right out of my backpack. After calling the front desk, they assured me that their staff would "never" do anything like that, and it was "impossible." After turning the blame on me, The front desk recommended I file a police report, as they have "no access to any of the video cameras with out one." How is that even possible? the hotel can't even access their own video footage and they need a police report to go through it? I call BS! In addition to being in a crazy popular neighborhood, there is absolutely no security at nighttime. Incredibly understaffed, and with no manager in sight, the hotel waited till my last day to steal from me. It is angering, humiliating, and sad that this can happen so easily, and that a hotel with this name can promote such a act, and not even confront their own staff. I seriously do not recommend this hotel, also the rooftop pool is not a pool its more of a large tub that is 2 feet deep. Take all of your hard earned money and spend it at some other hotel that deserves it.
