H10 Playa Esmeralda

Very nice quiet hotel. Our room had an amazing sea view which was so lovely. The majority of the staff was extremely helpful and very cheerful. I was not that impressed with the food. Breakfast was good with many varieties of breads, fruits and either European or cooked meats . Evening meal was disappointing to say the least. I never mind paying for drinks but I don't expect too be charged for water at evening meals (and it's not cheap) whilst the water dispenser which is free all day is then covered during evening meals times. Not sure going half board is totally beneficial here maybe more inclusive would have been better

My husband and I had a fantastic week here over Christmas. The food was gorgeous- particularly our Christmas meal. The staff were extremely accommodating and went out of their way to be cheerful and kind. Special thanks to Joel and Wichy at the bar who were so incredibly hardworking and professional. The room was beautiful as was the location. The facilities such as the pool, bars and restaurant felt luxurious. We really appreciated the card that was left in our room on Christmas Day and felt that we had been really treated and well looked after. Thank you so much for having us and making our Christmas really special.

We spent a lovely two weeks over the Christmas and New Year period at the H10 Playa Esmeralda in glorious sunshine with the daily temperatures in the low 20's. All the staff were extremely friendly, polite and helpful, but a special mention must go to Wadji, a member of the animation staff. His enthusiasm, sense of humour and personality were exceptional and very infectious with different activities available every day. This was our first time at this Hotel and we were made to feel very welcome and the food was of excellent quality with plenty of choices. Our room had a lovely sea view and was kept immaculately clean by the hard working cleaning staff. The pool side areas were hosed down every morning and there were plenty of sun beds available. Although the main pool was freezing cold, the indoor pool was warmer, as was the sea. It was also very nice to be able to walk through the rear of the hotel grounds straight onto the beach. Be aware that there is a charge for sun beds and umbrellas on the beach as these are not part of the hotel complex. Also worthy of note is that the beach at the rear of the hotel is nudist friendly if you desire. Even though the surrounding area is very quiet, there is a small complex within 20 min. walk which has bars restaurants and shops. There are also a couple of well stocked shops on site for the essentials of a beach holiday. We did have a couple of issues with our wrist bands as this is a relatively new system the hotel is using, but this was dealt with very efficiently by the reception staff. There was easy listening entertainment in the lobby bar every night with a more lively entertainment down in the pool side bar depending on your taste. We have had such a great time here that we've already re-booked another stay later this year. This is a highly recommended adult only hotel for those that want a quiet child free holiday.

Totally fabulous Christmas break. We are a party of 6 ranging from 21yrs to grandparents and the hotel is perfect for everyone. The rooms/food/entertainment are all great. Wedji is just fantastic! Everyday we have had great fun with his fitness classes/ family games and the evening entertainment- his energy is infectious! But equally if you just like to lounge around the pool then there are plenty of sunbeds and a lovely pool. The food has been so delicious. 10/10 for the catering staff and team but for us especially Martina who has looked after our table every day throughout Christmas. We still have 2 days left - so off to enjoy the winter sunshine

Upon arrival it took an hour to check in 6 of us which is apparently because they have a new check in system. Then when I arrived in my room it was completely rubbish. I booked a suite with a sea view and I got a view of the back of the building and if I wanted to see the sea then I’d have to reach over my balcony to get a little glance at it. When it got to New Year’s Eve it was amazing except from once it hit 12pm no one could enter there rooms so they had to let us in 1 by 1. The only positive that made this place 4 stars was wajdi. He was spectacular, when we did activities with him he always made sure we were having fun and so friendly. The only reason I would come back is to see him as he made this stay amazing.

Fabulous time over christmas and getting ready for the new year. Stayed in a privilege room which was fantastic. The food was very good for both breakfast and the evening meals. Also had food in the main restaurant, again very good. Trying the Italian on Thursday all included in our package as are the drinks in the privilege area. Our only gripe is the early closing of 9.00pm. Lights go out and the door automatically closes so no entry only an exit. Mentioned this in a review as a possible improvement.

We have been coming to this hotel for 5 years in August and if we do it is for a reason. In addition to the facilities of the hotel itself, the paradisiacal setting in which it is located, the tranquillity that you breathe, I would like to highlight the friendliness, in general, of all its employees and the attention they give to their guests. I would also like to make a special mention to the head of entertainment, Wajdi, because I think that, first of all, he is a great professional, with an enviable command of languages and an equally enviable physical and sporting ability, but even more, I would like to highlight his human factor, his know-how and his ability to understand and see when a person wants to rest or do one of the countless activities he offers just by looking at you and observing you. This year I had the opportunity to get to know him a little more, and for all this I thank him. I can only tell you Wajdi, keep it up and thank you.

Whilst checking in was long and tedious, the rest of our week long trip was exceptional. Great food, great room, lovely views and great variety of activities led by Wajdi, who coordinated the activities with passion and enjoyment, who not only made the daytime activities fun, but also ensured the evening entertainment was fun for all. Wajdi also orchestrated a special Happy Birthday message for my girlfriend too which was a brilliant surprise. I would visit the hotel again for this alone.||Would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Entertainment not great, mainy aimed towards Greman guests. Ents team didn't even speak in English some nights! Saw one of the ents team be very rude to a guest one evening also. Food very good, great selection and amazing quality every night and you can choose between snack bar and restaurant for lunch. Hotel is right on the beach, but there are very few bars/clubs nearby. Not a location for a lively holiday!!
