H10 Playa Esmeralda

My second visit to the hotel, and now I'm back home planning my next visit! The rooms are clean, spacious and quiet, a perfect place to retreat and read away from the afternoon sun. The food was fantastic - served hot, with a wide variety, and plenty of cook to order options as well. Every member of staff I encountered was friendly, and their attention to detail was unbeatable. I stayed all inclusive in a pool view room, which was the perfect location - near to everything, but still set back enough to feel private and tranquil. Would recommend to anyone looking for a relaxed peaceful break, in a beautiful setting close to the beach.

A lovely relaxing place to stay, we stayed as bed&breakfast guests as we like to explore local cuisines.|The breakfast buffet was consistently good, with a huge selection of breakfast foods for every palate and a a relaxed atmosphere in which to eat it. |The room was very nice, the bed was lovely and comfortable. Two small moans, firstly, the shower drain was very slow and we had to try and dam the excess water with a towel and have very short showers so the bathroom didn’t flood. |Second moan is that the rooms were kept beautifully clean, but on two occasions, the cleaners came in while we were in the room. Once while we were still asleep in bed (they quickly retreated) the second time, I was in the bathroom, I called out to let her know I was there, she answered and carried on cleaning. Small moans that didn’t spoil anything, just minor inconvenience really.|The facilities in the hotel are plentiful, two bars for all customers (more for privilege guests) with plenty of food and drink choices. There are some turtles living in the waterfall in the hotel which were a welcome addition to see. |The pools are lovely. As others have said, take pegs for your towels as it is very windy. |The beach is accessible from the back gate of the hotel, and is gorgeously unspoilt. There can be lots of people on the beach and it still feels empty. There are sun beds to hire and rock pools to explore once the tide is out. There are lots of wild squirrels, which the shop will sell you monkey nuts to feed. |I would happily return to this place.

Beautiful hotel throughout, friendly staff cant do enough for you. Reception staff very helpful. Food the buffet was very good and drinks which are proper brands all excellent , try the honey rum! Enjoyed the italian restaurant especially the lasagne! Nice coffee bar and good snacks in poolside bar. Beach is beautiful and the views from hotel stunning. Must mention the animation guy wajed was helpful on local info and made the games fun. No pressure to join in. Hes an asset to the hotel . Rooms are lovely. Bonus of turtles living in the inside waterfall area ! I hired a car and visited a few places as not a lot going on in this part of the island if you want to venture out. There is a nice beach bar by the bigger spar shop though. Id return to same hotel chain but would stay in a more lively part of the island.

Beautiful hotel. Right by the beach which was stunning. Stayed Priviledge which was worth it as the extras were lovely as well as food being fabulous at dinner. Had a few meals at the buffet which were pretty good and the coffee bar was excellent. Entertainment really good but low key in the evening. The entertainers finish at 10.30pm and then the main bar closes at 12 which was a bit disappointing. They need more staff in the pool bar in the evenings as there was one guy , Manuel, who worked really hard but always had a queue as he needed someone else. Bit of a fight for sunbeds if you aren’t out before 10am but we went to the beach each morning. The beach is not owned by the hotel so you have to pay for Sun loungers but we didn’t bother as it was safe to just leave a bag whilst swimming. If you want to relax, chill out, have a spa treatment, good food and drinks then this is the hotel. If you want a rave, or to be up all night, don’t bother.

Fantastic hotel! Beautiful setting with a stunning beach in easy walking distance. Very clean, staff were polite and very helpful. |As an adult only hotel it was very relaxing and ideal to recharge the batteries. Even better, there is the option to participate in the activities but no pressure to do so. ||The only thing that I can possibly think of as a constructive criticism is that the lobby bar seemed understaffed while we were there and we left on more than one occasion as we couldn’t get served. This really in no way impacted our stay and we will certainly return.

We had a superb relaxing holiday ! H10 hotels are amazing. |We arrived late but a lovely small buffet was in our room as we missed dinner. So thoughtful and much appreciated! |Staff throughout our stay were so professional and also friendly too. |Food in buffet to the best standard .. plentiful and such a great choice. Never felt rushed. |Drinks were top shelf and speedy lol!! Fantastic bar service !! |Entertainment was fun too .. usually a choice of venues so either relaxing or more upbeat. |Room lovely, side sea view for us was great. |Beach a few steps away ( not private) awesome, sandy and warm sea to swim . |What a relaxing time we had and can’t wait to return!!! Thank you to all the staff as you’re amazing!

I have booked flight and hotel as a package with all inclusive. The 1h car trip from airport to the hotel was not bad, due to the prepared shuttle service. Hotel is super clean and in a very good shape, so that vacation atmosphere starts already at the entrance. Buffet is changing every day with mixed local and international food. Very good quality and very friendly service. Several bars offer over the day good coffee drinks and snacks. The pool was a bit cold in the end of May as well as the ocean. The beach is just 50meters downstairs from the pool with amazing sand and water quality. Animations are in a good balance like evening music or a sangria curse. Overall is the atmosphere very cozy and perfect for a relaxing couple holiday.

Currently sat writing this review on the flight home.||Myself and my wife spent a week AI here.||The transfer from the Airport to the hotel was around 70mins Inc drop offs at other hotels.||On arrival we entered through the main entrance into the Lobbyy (Blue) Bar, which had real nice look to it.||The check in was fast and enjoyed a glass of Cava whilst completing our booking.||We were then escorted to our room and given a quick guide as to where the pool and restaurants are.||You access your room via your wristband, which saves you having to think of your key/card.||The room was amazing with a sea view and what a view.||The room was decorated to an high standard with a Huge comfy bed.||This hotel is not like other AI hotels we have stayed in. It has a more exclusive feel to it.||The pool bar is staffed with waiters who will come and serve you food and drinks from a menu which you can access via the hotels own app. This app also allows you to book other restaurants and activities.||It has full drinks and food menu. Indicating which is AI and which you can pay extra.||The food and drink is of a very high standard.||The lre is a good choice of food in the main restaurant and it never seems too busy.||The drinks are branded. For example Bombay sapphire Gin, Tia Maria and Estrella on draught.||The pool is large and ample sunbeds. It's kept very clean.||There is entertainment each evening in both the lobby and pool bars.||I would certainly revisit this Hotel again in a heartbeat.||

Entertainment not great, mainy aimed towards Greman guests. Ents team didn't even speak in English some nights! Saw one of the ents team be very rude to a guest one evening also. Food very good, great selection and amazing quality every night and you can choose between snack bar and restaurant for lunch. Hotel is right on the beach, but there are very few bars/clubs nearby. Not a location for a lively holiday!!
