Awesome hotel! Excellent service, very clean hotel. Housekeeping fantastic always leaving the room very nice and clean daily, Breakfast was awesome with lots of variety. Jorge, who checked me in and then later found me a scale to use to check my packed luggage, was fantastic! Even at check out, the male attendant (don’t remember his name) was very attentive helping me multiple times with getting my luggage to transportation outside. Best part was the views on the rooftop! Excellent location, recommend without reservation!

Beautiful, well-located hotel with fantastic staff and service. Cava upon arrival, chocolates on our bed, and a cozy cafe/bar we enjoyed each day. The rooftop terrace was closed for construction and we didn’t mind at all. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

From the moment we entered the hotel, I knew it would be a special visit. The staff is helpful and go the extra mile to help. The room is beautiful, including the bathroom ( love the soap!) The breakfast blew me away; variety and exceptionally good. The people attended to every need at the breakfast area.|If I come again, I would definitely stay here. The artwork is beautiful too. So many nice touches

We stayed there last December and I've just realised we did not leave a review. Usual high standards from an H10 hotel: Warm welcome with some cava, stylish and comfy rooms (with lovely bathrooms) and great location. Cocktails on the rooftop were a bit pricy but I guess they were worth it for the amazing views over the city.

My son and I had a great stay in this beautiful hotel during our 4 day city trip. Very friendly personel. Very good breakfast service. Good beds in a tastefully decorated room. Wel isolated rooms, no noise at all at night eventough we are very much in the center if the city. Metro and busstop close. Pool smaller than imaged but great view from rooftop. Annoying green light in the room at night to show the exit in case of fire.

I stayed here between the 13/11 - 15/11 as part of a BA hotel/flight package for a great price when travelling from London Gatwick. The hotel was easy to find and close to the Principe De Vergara Metro station(5 min walk). I took line 8 from the airport, changed at Colombia for line 9 which took approx 40-45mins(inc waiting). |The hotel is close enough to the city centre (ie Sol) and on line 2 where you will find all of the attractions/sites. The hotel is also close to the Parque de El Retiro Park which is lovely to walk around whether in the rain or sun. |The room was large enough with a mini bar, coffee machine and everything you need for a great nights sleep. I had breakfast included and it had a variety of foodstuffs for any palate. I was visiting my daughter who met me for breakfast and for a very reasonable additional cost, she was able to join me. |I would recommend this hotel again and I would quickly freely stay the next time that I'm in Madrid. |Lastly.....this might not mean a lot to some but it did to me. At breakfast there was a young lad working in the restaurant with Downs Syndrome who was clearly part of the team. I noticed this and this meant a lot to me that an employer has a great recruitment policy.

Stayed here my last three days in Madrid and about to check out from H10 Puerta de Alcalá. Clean and modern hotel with excellent service. Jorge and his coworker (sorry forgot his name) checked me in on December 18 and was very helpful in taking care of the check in promptly as I was stressing out with the rental car double parked in front of their garage entrance and unloading luggage quickly to return the car promptly. They took care of everything and when I came back from returning the car, everything was all set in the room.|Rooms were cleaned nicely everyday and love the Rituals Sweet Orange and Cedar Wood that they used for shampoo/body wash/hand soap. |I got the breakfast option daily and huge variety of food and drinks and excellent friendly service.|Jorge and his colleague was again very helpful yesterday night before I left helping me find a portable scale to check the weight of my luggage in preparation for the flight today.|Best part prior to checking out in a few was going up to the eighth floor to enjoy the panoramic views!|Incredibly happy with the stay! Excellent accommodations and amazing service and staff!!

I paid extra for BIRTHDAY CAKE which you can get when you purchase a room and i understand there was 0 Communication from them when is it coming so i assumed you enter a room and The cake will be there? There was nothing so i kindly went to ask reception in person (at maybe 4-5 oclock) when they plan to do The surprise as we were already checked in- they said AT 6 OCLOCK, Okay i understand they do this after people check in, so i stayed calm and understanding. Can u imagine it was 8 oclock and we still didnt get The birthday cake which btw was meant to be surprise for my boyfriend? i called reception and ask more directly when is it coming they asked me to wait to check if i still didnt get it?what do you mean so when i Came to ask in person 1st time they just ignored me and kept talking at front desk with colleague? I got annoyed because we were tired and wanted to sleep already as it was 8pm so i asked for a refund and lady at front desk started being super passive aggressive asking WHY?!?!?! IS COMING? It was coming yes but 2 hours later than you already said before and lied to me, instead of doing her job and callin restaurant to check if they are actually preparing it she ignored me 1st time. (Btw we checked in around 4pm so they had 4 hours to prepare??) I read more reviews about this unwelcoming front desk and i will be more careful when choosing hotels next time. Please teach your staff to get proper social hotel manners, i cant understand How in 4 star hotel i get a rude lady at front desk treating me like i didnt just pay extra for a service they completely ignored? In The end we got cake at 8pm instead of refund which i wanted instead - so we just gave up with this system, completely ruined birthday surprise. Why do you even have this option when your staff doesnt care?Worst H10 hospitality ive ever experienced, not only this situation But front desk feels super unwelcoming, never look at Any guests, no eye contact just having fun talking to each other. When checking in it feels like you are annoying to them. Wow. Check out was good because a very kind guy was at a reception, not The lady so one star for him for saving the customer service of this hotel.

Yelp
This was booked as part of a YMT Tours package, and proved to be a good choice. Central location, a block from the Principe de Vergara Metro station and not far from the Atocha mainline railway station. Attractive lobby, on two levels connected by a rather quaint four-person elevator (which was out of order on our day of arrival). Small lobby bar, plus a rooftop pool bar which, during our visit, was closed due to cold, drizzly weather. Excellent breakfast buffet. All the staff that we encountered were proficient in English. Our room was small (one double bed), but adequate and well -equipped, including a safe and mini-bar. Stall shower only. TV offered a few English-language channels, including CNBC, BBC Europe, and, for a good laugh, Russia Today. Free wi-fi. One odd decorative note: all the hallways are lined with tightly-packed rows of framed, extreme close-up full-face photos, creepily reminiscent of mugshots. Oh, well, how much time are you going to spend in the hallways, anyway?

Yelp
The hotel is in a good location and across from the equivalent to Madrid's Central Park. The rooftop bar has great views of the city and park. The room was a standard room with two double beds, strange but could have been an oversight on our travel agents part. The room was tiny. No room for luggage storage or walking. Hotel staff was friendly including room service deliveries. Positives: Rooftop Bar Food Good Location Friendly Staff Negatives: Tiny pool and no place to lay out or tan. The bar staff upstairs is on slow motion. Not sure if this is a European way of life but I did not appreciate it much. One night it began to rain and they were closing the bar and almost knocked my BF unconscious closing the side wood covers. No apology rather an annoyed look for the bartender getting wet in the rain. From the time housekeeping began cleaning rooms on our floor, they kept slamming doors. We were on vacation and could not sleep until 9am because doors were constantly slamming, so bad, the door was shaking in our room.

Yelp
Cute boutique-ie hotel away from the hustle and bustle but close enough to it. The shopping area of Serrano is walking distance. I have a junior suite which is an average room size in America so not sure about the basic rooms. Rooftop bar is great, good drinks and amazing views. Staff is also friendly & nice.

Yelp
I recently went to Europe and stayed in 5 different hotels in 4 countries, and this one was by far my favorite. It was part of a package deal so we didn't choose it, but it couldn't have been more perfect. It was less than a block away from the subway station, which you can use to go to the airport with only one transfer. Amazing location in the Salamanca neighborhood and walking distance to Parque Buen Retiro, great restaurants and shopping, and a little longer of a walk to Plaza Mayor, Museo del Prado, and many other landmarks. - Recently renovated in 2016, the classy lobby, bar and restaurant are furnished with cool midcentury furniture and are so comfortable just to relax in. - Unfortunately, it was November, but there was a rooftop bar and infinity, glass-walled pool! We went to the roof to take pictures overlooking the city. Would be great for a summertime party! - Minifridge with snacks for purchase, and a complimentary mini champagne bottle! - Front desk staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. They even lied to me and told me that my Spanish was good. - Clean, spacious, modern room with comfortable bedding. - The complimentary breakfast buffet was the best one of the trip, by far. The dining room felt like dining in an upscale restaurant rather than a free hotel breakfast, and there was a gourmet meat and cheese selection, a smoked salmon bar, mini sandwiches, individual fried eggs in their own cute little skillets, roasted peppers and mushrooms, and a huge assortment of pastries and fresh fruits (not just your cheapy cantaloupe and honeydew variety, but all the good stuff!) If we didn't have to run to the airport, I would have stayed for a loooong time! I wouldn't hesitate to book this hotel again if I came back to Madrid on my own.

Yelp
This hotel gets 1 star from me for the terrible service. I arrived a few hours early (after over 30 hours of flying), and although they confirmed I would be able to check in early prior to my arrival, they claimed I was "not on the list" for them to make accommodations for. When I got exhausted about the run around they gave me, I told them to cancel my reservation and I would find another hotel. They immediately called housekeeping and told me my room would be available in an hour. 1.5 hours later (while I waited in the tiny lobby), I asked if my room was available and they said no. 2 hours later I asked again, and they said "any minute" and told me they know where I am and would get me as soon as it is available and to stop coming up to ask. After 3.5 hours, and a colleague of mine showing up and checking in, she gave me HER room because although she did not request early check in, her room was available upon arriving at the hotel. There were many other examples of this kind of service throughout my five nights at the hotel, so do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else. The rooms were good, but the food was TERRIBLE, so I believe the $ was due to location (which I have to admit was a great location). That being said, the service and food was enough to make me never consider this hotel again, even if they started making it available at a small percentage of the price!
