I, should I say 'We', am/are having a wonderful time at the H10. But aside from the fine times here, in Madrid and the property, I must say that personnel attentiveness, cleanliness of rooms and common areas is on point. Absolute friendly service. At the rooftop we had a very nice experience. We asked questions out of curiosity, the attendant was ever happy to respond and to provide insights and additional information regarding the food, its ingredients, the wine, its grapes, flavors, etc. Housekeeping personnel is attentive as well. So far, 10 out of 10.... Keep it, our stay is not over yet!

A really good hotel in a very central and affluent part of Madrid.||The hotel and the rooms are very modern and tastefully decorated. The room was well appointed and everything worked well. The staff spoke good English and were helpful and friendly.||The rooftop bar was nice (but crowded) with great views over the city. The bar staff were a bit gruff, but that wasn’t enough to affect the overall rating of the hotel itself.||Stayed there as part of a group tour, so cannot comment exactly on value for money, but this is definitely not in the budget range. But if you don’t mind spending a bit of cash on quality accommodation, this is one worth considering.

My son and I had a great stay in this beautiful hotel during our 4 day city trip. Very friendly personel. Very good breakfast service. Good beds in a tastefully decorated room. Wel isolated rooms, no noise at all at night eventough we are very much in the center if the city. Metro and busstop close. Pool smaller than imaged but great view from rooftop. Annoying green light in the room at night to show the exit in case of fire.

H10 puerta de Alcalá is a chic, well located boutique in the very nice Salamanca neighbourhood of Madrid and is located right next to the lovely Retiro Park. The rooms are clean, really pretty and I had a great nights sleep every time (despite being one floor below the rooftop bar/ pool). I had some lost luggage that the team were aware of that was thankfully found and returned to my room. Breakfast was very good and had plenty of options (hot/ cold/ European style etc.) and I left the hotel full and ready for a day of sightseeing. Despite being a solo traveller, there were plenty of couples and a few families, so it definitely can accommodate different group types. I would definitely recommend H10 to anyone looking for a gorgeous hotel that is well-priced, friendly and easily connected to the best parts of Madrid!

My husband and I loved this hotel. It’s in a great area, the Salamanca. And more than that it’s a large enough hotel to be fully accommodating but quaint and very personal as well. Extremely attentive service and staff throughout. We were treated very well, especially by Carlos, Eduardo, and Alejandra at the front desk! But everyone was superb! The rooftop restaurant and pool was a huge plus as well. The breakfast, which was included, had everything we could want. When we come back to Spain, we will definitely stay here again!

Great location to see Madrid and all of the sites. Staff were friendly. I took one point off as the room was a little tired. The furniture is all painted black and is chipped. Our view was a building in stages of renovation. Radiator in bathroom was dusty. Rooftop bar was nice. Overall I expect more from H10.

Google
Situated a short walk from the park and located adjacent to the Metro and main bus routes the hotel is ideal if you want to be away from the bustle of the cit centre. The hotel is very stylish & modern, superbly clean with great facilities. The Staff were all excellent and able to accommodate the requests we made. Be sure to make use of the rooftop bar and restaurant, despite being priced above average it does serve a varied choice of food, and a good choice of drinks. We did use the pool and sun deck, but be sure to book a lounger during busy times.

Yelp
This was booked as part of a YMT Tours package, and proved to be a good choice. Central location, a block from the Principe de Vergara Metro station and not far from the Atocha mainline railway station. Attractive lobby, on two levels connected by a rather quaint four-person elevator (which was out of order on our day of arrival). Small lobby bar, plus a rooftop pool bar which, during our visit, was closed due to cold, drizzly weather. Excellent breakfast buffet. All the staff that we encountered were proficient in English. Our room was small (one double bed), but adequate and well -equipped, including a safe and mini-bar. Stall shower only. TV offered a few English-language channels, including CNBC, BBC Europe, and, for a good laugh, Russia Today. Free wi-fi. One odd decorative note: all the hallways are lined with tightly-packed rows of framed, extreme close-up full-face photos, creepily reminiscent of mugshots. Oh, well, how much time are you going to spend in the hallways, anyway?

Yelp
The hotel is in a good location and across from the equivalent to Madrid's Central Park. The rooftop bar has great views of the city and park. The room was a standard room with two double beds, strange but could have been an oversight on our travel agents part. The room was tiny. No room for luggage storage or walking. Hotel staff was friendly including room service deliveries. Positives: Rooftop Bar Food Good Location Friendly Staff Negatives: Tiny pool and no place to lay out or tan. The bar staff upstairs is on slow motion. Not sure if this is a European way of life but I did not appreciate it much. One night it began to rain and they were closing the bar and almost knocked my BF unconscious closing the side wood covers. No apology rather an annoyed look for the bartender getting wet in the rain. From the time housekeeping began cleaning rooms on our floor, they kept slamming doors. We were on vacation and could not sleep until 9am because doors were constantly slamming, so bad, the door was shaking in our room.

Yelp
Cute boutique-ie hotel away from the hustle and bustle but close enough to it. The shopping area of Serrano is walking distance. I have a junior suite which is an average room size in America so not sure about the basic rooms. Rooftop bar is great, good drinks and amazing views. Staff is also friendly & nice.

Yelp
I recently went to Europe and stayed in 5 different hotels in 4 countries, and this one was by far my favorite. It was part of a package deal so we didn't choose it, but it couldn't have been more perfect. It was less than a block away from the subway station, which you can use to go to the airport with only one transfer. Amazing location in the Salamanca neighborhood and walking distance to Parque Buen Retiro, great restaurants and shopping, and a little longer of a walk to Plaza Mayor, Museo del Prado, and many other landmarks. - Recently renovated in 2016, the classy lobby, bar and restaurant are furnished with cool midcentury furniture and are so comfortable just to relax in. - Unfortunately, it was November, but there was a rooftop bar and infinity, glass-walled pool! We went to the roof to take pictures overlooking the city. Would be great for a summertime party! - Minifridge with snacks for purchase, and a complimentary mini champagne bottle! - Front desk staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. They even lied to me and told me that my Spanish was good. - Clean, spacious, modern room with comfortable bedding. - The complimentary breakfast buffet was the best one of the trip, by far. The dining room felt like dining in an upscale restaurant rather than a free hotel breakfast, and there was a gourmet meat and cheese selection, a smoked salmon bar, mini sandwiches, individual fried eggs in their own cute little skillets, roasted peppers and mushrooms, and a huge assortment of pastries and fresh fruits (not just your cheapy cantaloupe and honeydew variety, but all the good stuff!) If we didn't have to run to the airport, I would have stayed for a loooong time! I wouldn't hesitate to book this hotel again if I came back to Madrid on my own.

Yelp
This hotel gets 1 star from me for the terrible service. I arrived a few hours early (after over 30 hours of flying), and although they confirmed I would be able to check in early prior to my arrival, they claimed I was "not on the list" for them to make accommodations for. When I got exhausted about the run around they gave me, I told them to cancel my reservation and I would find another hotel. They immediately called housekeeping and told me my room would be available in an hour. 1.5 hours later (while I waited in the tiny lobby), I asked if my room was available and they said no. 2 hours later I asked again, and they said "any minute" and told me they know where I am and would get me as soon as it is available and to stop coming up to ask. After 3.5 hours, and a colleague of mine showing up and checking in, she gave me HER room because although she did not request early check in, her room was available upon arriving at the hotel. There were many other examples of this kind of service throughout my five nights at the hotel, so do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else. The rooms were good, but the food was TERRIBLE, so I believe the $ was due to location (which I have to admit was a great location). That being said, the service and food was enough to make me never consider this hotel again, even if they started making it available at a small percentage of the price!
