H4 Hotel Arcadia Locarno

We had a great time with our 3 year old. Very family-friendly including a playground and sand box outside, pool, kids play room, and kiddie breakfast buffet. The free breakfast had a huge variety, and good coffee too. Location was great, less than 10 minute walk from the train station, overlooking the lake. The staff were extraordinarily helpful, and we were provided with free bus passes for our journey! Lots of restaurant options nearby. We didn't try the food at the hotel restaurant (only open for dinner), but we did get a drink once

Location is great. The most of reception and restaurant staff are very friendly and helpful. If you have lake views, it’s beautiful. And I recommend to stay in such room. The room is clean, but amenities are very minimal (no conditioner, no body lotion for 4-star?!), but otherwise well equipped. If you are not travelling by car, ask for Ticino ticket, which is very useful for free public transport (bus and train). We took the package of 2-night stay with breakfast and one dinner. But don’t expect any culinary highlights. I would rather avoid any meals (at least no dinner). There are plenty of bars and restaurants near there. Generally speaking, it isn’t 4-star hotel - rather a good 3-star level.

We had a great time here, location is amazing (~5 minute walk to Locarno train station and to Piazza Grande). The pool was nice, not crowded at all and very relaxing.

Breakfast had a full range of items and staff were very friendly and professional. Unfortunately, no English TV stations as only German, French and Italian.

The hotel is about 5 mins walk to Locarno centre. Just over the road from the lake. |The hotel itself is showing signs of age, especially the breakfast area so paying extra for the lake view rooms makes all the difference to the experience. |Everything is well run and comfortable. A nice stay.

During my recent stay at H4 Arcadia in Locarno, I was truly taken aback by the breathtaking views it offered of the lake and surrounding mountains. The hotel’s location couldn't have been better, perfectly nestled to offer both tranquility and accessibility to the local sights. The service was exceptional; staff went above and beyond, greeting each request with a smile and ensuring our stay was as comfortable as possible. The rooms were surprisingly spacious and cozy, making it easy to relax and feel at home. However, it's worth noting that the hotel shows signs of aging and would greatly benefit from some renovations to bring it up to modern standards. Additionally, the garage spaces are rather tight, which could be a point of concern for those traveling with larger vehicles. Despite these minor issues, my experience at H4 Arcadia was overwhelmingly positive. It's a gem in Locarno that offers a blend of comfort, stunning scenery, and excellent service. I look forward to seeing the improvements they make in the future and would certainly recommend it to others looking for a memorable stay in the area.

We visited the hotel as we wanted somewhere local to stay while we enjoyed a few nights of Moon & Stars. The location is fabulous, sunrise streams into the lake view rooms.||The hotel is a steady 4-star experience and price/performance is fine. ||The pool area is modern and enjoyable, hampered only by the shadow in the morning and afternoon as the sun passes over. Top tip: get away from the kids in the pool and enjoy the Sky Lounge on the 6th floor. There are sunbeds and a shower up there with no shadows to impede your day.||The garage is just funny. People park like idiots because it has this old, no-longer-used lift system in cubicles.
