This Korean restaurant is a gem of a place. The stir-fried squid and the yukgaejang (beef soup) were fantastic. The side dishes were also top-notch. Our server was very friendly and quick to deliver our meals. Would highly recommend it.

Google
Very small. The largest table is a 6 top, and there's only one. That's part of the charm, though. The food? Excellent. I'm not Korean, I've never been to Korea, but I use this spot as my baseline for Korean restaurant food. Get the Bibimbap in the heated stone bowl. Definitely delicious. The Beef Bugolgi? excellent! The kimchi is good but I like it a little spicier.

Google
Such a cute place! Staff was amazing the entire time, very friendly, and made the experience better. The food was delicious! The yaki gyoza were probably the best gyoza I have ever had. Definitely going to start frequenting, overall 10/10 experience!

We came right at opening and I'm glad we did. This place was busy the whole time we were there and I can understand why! I knew it was authentic as soon as I heard most of the folks inside speaking Korean to each other and the staff. Our server Yun (sorry if I mispelled) took exceptional care of me, my buddy, and my grandmother while juggling every other table in the restaurant. We drove over an hour just to try this restaurant and were more than please. The Seafood Pancake, Tteok-bokki, and Beef Bulgogi were all home runs. The Silken tofu soup was incredible. Also, I've never had spinach prepared like seaweed salad. That part of the Banchan was grandma's favorite. We hope to be back! Thanks for the great food and service.

Google
It's an authentic Korean restaurant if you want good food. The taste is good, and the waitress is super friendly. However, the place is really small so if you have many companies, call them in advance. Also, they close on Sunday.

Google
The food was fantastic and tasted authentic, as you might expect in those restaurants that are clearly on your Google Maps but somehow hidden or hard to find. Our entrees came out promptly. We had the fried rice, seafood soondubu and yukaejang tonight for dinner. The appetizer also came out early, so we weren’t waiting for the main dishes. Best of all, when the restaurant wasn’t as busy (we got there an hour before closing), the chef/owner would come out and talk to us to ask about our meal. Apparently she also regularly donates her time and energy cooking for her church. Overall a solid restaurant experience.

Google
It’s a small space so you might have to wait, but the food is really good and the lady who works there was the sweetest! I really appreciated the attention she gave us despite singlehandedly serving the entire restaurant. Definitely come here for some good Korean food!

Google
This place was fantastic! The exterior is a little unwelcoming, but don't let that fool you! The food was absolutely delicious. For appetizers, my friend and I shared the steamed dumplings and the bulgogi gimbab. The dumplings came out very hot but they were exactly what was described. Honestly, the gimbab tasted very similar to sushi. My friend got the soft tofu soup, which was very flavorful and the spice was mild, if that's an issue for anyone. My entree was the hot stone bibimbab. The hot stone allowed the meal to be warm the entire time I was eating it. This was absolutely a wonderful experience, and I hope to visit here many more times!

Yelp
Came to Ha Ahn after my coworkers recommended it as the best Korean restaurant in Cleveland. After experiencing it for myself, I totally agree! Ha Ahn gives big family-owned vibes. It's tucked away in AsiaTown and pretty unassuming. Our server was a hilarious Korean woman who was super accommodating to our larger party and cracked jokes with us the whole time. The food was absolutely delicious and each person in our party had a different favorite dish-- a great testament that there was something for everyone! My personal favorites were the kimchi jjigae and seafood pancake. Their kimchi is to die for and the seafood pancake was fresh, crispy, and packed with seafood. Our bill was reasonable even though we got a lot of food, and our server gave us free yakult at the end of our meal. We're all itching to go back! Highly recommend.

Blanche K.

Yelp
Ha ahn is serving up the most authentic Korean food in Cleveland! I dream about their Galbi Tang with giant beef ribs and a comforting beef bone broth that warms my soul. Served boiling hot with glass noodles eggs and radish! I also love their rotating assortment of banchans! The staff are friendly and care about your meal being set up properly. Our server straightened out my placemat and silverware setting multiple times through the meal and also refilled our banchans. Especially nostalgic is ending the meal with yakult!

Yelp
This restaurant is truly a hidden gem of Cleveland Asia town! I had been looking for authentic Korean restaurant, and I wished I had found this place sooner! Located inside the shared building with other Asian restaurants, is this very own Ha Ahn restaurant We were greeted by the staff and was seated right away (since the space was quite small, if you go during lunch or dinner rush, expect some wait time, though they also offer takeout) You will be offered a set of Banchan (complimentary side dishes to go with your meal), that I find it so much fun to try out different fermented vegetable as well as kimchi, but my favourite has to be the fish cakes. We have tried Tteokbokki (in a spicy sweet sauce),and homemade steamed dumpling served with soy sauce. Both are great appetizers to share My most favorite dishes would be Galbi (grilled marinated short rib), Spicy pork bulgogi, Bibimbap (ground beef and vegetable rice bowl) and Soft tofu soup. They also offer lunch special which comes with salad, seaweed salad, fried gyoza, and kimchi for a reasonable price. They will give you a cute little bottle of the complimentary sweet probiotic drinks after the meal as well. The food came out in a reasonable time, service was great, the lady who helped us was very nice and helpful. They also offer various sushi menu, which I have to check out in another time. I would recommend this place for anyone who loves Korean food to give it a try. Apparently they have been open for at least 10 years now, I do hope they will be here for at least another 10-20 years.

Julie S.

Yelp
Place has limited seating but there is booth seating outside of the restaurant if you wanted to wait to get seated. We went during the lunch rush, so we knew it would be a little wait before we get seated. I've been meaning to try this place for some time now and was off on a Monday, so I thought why not! The banchan was delicious. But the soups were even better!! Definitely hit the spot! I don't always order soup when I'm at a Korean restaurant but when I do it's usually the Galbi Tang or Kimchi Jjigae. Unfortunately they ran out of Galbi Tang, so I ordered the Kimchi Jjigae and the Bibimbap. The vegetables were so fresh and crispy. It's the texture I always look for when it comes to bibimbap and the vegetables were so fresh with a lot of flavor. We really enjoyed this dish paired with the option to put as much sauce as we pleased. Really love the presentation of their dishes and was very surprised with their soup. My husband and I have come to the conclusion that their soup has way more flavor than a restaurant we usually go to. This restaurant set the bar pretty high with the flavors they offered with their soup. I only docked off one star because their banchan doesn't come with free refills and they charge if you ask for more. Other than that, service was great and food was phenomenal! We will definitely come back here again to try more dishes on their menu. Would definitely recommend this place!

Yelp
Yum! What a great lunch experience I had here. Honestly I chose to come here just based on the fact that it was the only Korean restaurant in the area that was open on a Monday but I'm so glad! This is a small little Korean/Japanese restaurant with 7 tables, black and white checkered floors, minimal decor, and friendly service. They have a great weekday lunch special menu including my order, Beef Bulgogi for $13 (I think) and came with rice, kimchi, seaweed salad, and a crispy dumpling. It was the perfect amount of food at a great price! The food was fresh and tasted amazing! My only complaint is that they didn't have any music playing so I could hear people chewing and every noise in the restaurant. I will definitely come back here because there are a lot of other tasty sounding things on the menu. Parking is Beijing's the restaurant btw.

Yelp
Thanks to my Ukranian friend Christina and LAWYER extraordinaire for treating me to dinner this past weekend. I was so surprised. I have such great friends and right now, I pray for the innocent civilians in Ukraine during this unnecessary war by Russia. If you know me then you know that I love all things Asian. Having traveled to China in 2015 and having a best friend from Hong Kong, I will always want to eat Asian food. I've had Korean food before but not often. I've had Ha Ahn Korean Restaurant bookmarked here on Yelp for a long time so I'm happy that my friend and I visited this past Saturday, 5 March 2022. LOCATION -- The location is somewhat hidden in the Asian town region of downtown Cleveland so I may not have found it unless I was looking for it. DECOR/ATMOSPHERE/SERVICE -- Warm and inviting. There are some cute traditional Korean clothing on the wall which adds a nice touch. It is a very small restaurant or "hole in the wall" as Americans may say but does size really matter? Of course not because the FOOD is what matters. Interestingly enough, the menu is quite large besides the small restaurant size. FOOD -- For starters (appetizer), we got the steamed dumplings ($13.95) which are 6 pieces filled with pork and chives. Honestly, I try not to eat pork and beef but these dumplings were delicious. For the main course, I ordered the Beef Bulgogi ($18.95) and my friend ordered the Galbi ($23.95). Both dishes came with a side of rice. The Galbi is also beef but it is short ribs whereas the beef bulgogi is strips of beef. Although I forgot to taste the Galbi that my friend ordered, I may order that next time when I visit Ha Ahn again just because the beef bulgogi wasn't as good as I expected. I've had better tasting beef and this bulgogi beef wasn't as tender. The vegetables that came with the beef bulgogi (carrots and green beans) were delicious. I got mine ordered without onions. The Galbi looked appetizing and my friend enjoyed her meal. SIDE DISHES -- The 5 side dishes that came with the meal were dry and not as fresh. I specifically remember the greens (bok-choy?) and kimichi looking a bit off and when I tried them, it didn't taste as fresh. Overall, I really want to come back and try other dishes here. I thought the food was definitely decent. Supporting small local businesses is something I enjoy doing being an immigrant who lived in 2 countries before coming to USA. I have always loved Asian food and Korean food is what I want to eat more of. **** - 12/150 total reviews in 2022 - 490 total overall Yelp reviews - Reviewed on 7 March 2022

Yelp
When viewed through the lens of a restaurant patron, Cleveland has many 'hidden' gems so to speak. However, that term takes on a whole new meaning when you consider the location of this Korean masterpiece! Tucked away in a small unassuming strip mall along Superior Ave, the entrance is from the rear and accessible from a small parking lot. Once you enter the building the restaurant itself is down a hall and to the right - across from Superior Pho. The clientele ranges from Asian to American and everything in between, but the genuine service and authenticity is homogenous and everlasting. The menu comprises of Korean and even some Japanese fare (mainly sushi). I'm fairly one dimensional with Korean food, so I followed my usual trend and got the Bimibop with tofu (no meat). A brass kettle of barley tea was brought out and was satisfying as usual. Next, the small appetizer bowls (banchan) were brought out each one of which was outstanding. Finally, the Bimibop arrived hot and ready to devour with chopsticks in hand! Wow, the dish was superb and quite delicious! To top it off, upon the bill being brought out my server placed a small plastic bottle of what appeared to be a yogurt drink - Yakult I believe. Either way, for such a hard to find restaurant the food is remarkably amazing!

Yelp
This is a very small, hole in the wall restaurant in a hidden away lot in downtown Cleveland. Because it's so tiny and without many staff, they don't have a lot of seating and the service is very slow. I came with a friend at around 6PM on a Monday, waited 30 minutes to be seated, ordered after we could flag down the server after 10, and waited over 30 for our food to come out. The food itself was tasty! We got 5 small banchan sides (sukjunamul/seasoned bean sprouts, sigeumchi muchim/seasoned spinach, Kkakdugi/radish kimchi, baechu kimchi/cabbage kimchi, and dubu buchim/fried tofu) that were tasty but you don't get free refills after. After your meal everyone also gets a complimentary Yakult which is always fun! I think overall though this restaurant has authentic Korean food, it's expensive and the service isn't great. Might come back if I'm craving korean! Soft tofu soup 4/5 They were out of kimchi jjigae so we settled on this, and found it satisfying. We had the seafood version which just included clams. It came out in the classic little clay pot, was hot and a little spicy. Nothing too special but still tasty! Hoedupbap 4/5 We had this with the classic yangnyeomchojang sauce. The fish wasn't the freshest but was still yummy! All the textures from the different crunchy fresh veggies were so fun to eat. Definitely not a dish I see often so I was happy to see it here!

Yelp
Really great service and tremendously varied menu. BYOB, because they don't have a liquor license.

Yelp
Coming from the Bay Area to Cleveland, I didn't expect much from any Asian food restaurant. I decided to come here because of the other restaurant, Superior Pho, but also came here to get some food as well! Seafood Pancake- Not crunchy and falling apart. The flavors were okay, but it wasn't anything unique or special. I have definitely had much better. The seafood in it, I must say was pretty tender and delicious! However, the texture of the soft seafood and the soft pancake, wasn't the best combination. Spicy Seafood Soft Tofu Soup- Not so spicy. It had a bit of a powdery generic flavor that I can't quite place my finger on. The tofu and seafood was pretty good, but the soup was a little disappointing. Overall, I wouldn't come here again.

Neha C.

Yelp
Overall, I wouldn't come here again. Food: Ordered bulgogi, o-Sam bulgogi and squid stir fry. The food was good, served fast. But nothing spectacular. The banchan was alright. Ambiance: Hole in the wall, limited seating. Parking: Ample parking options since there is a parking lot right in front of the building where this restaurant is located.

Yelp
Sushi was great, took a little time to get my order but it was worth the wait. I went at lunch time at the total in and out was about 45 minutes

Yelp
I am a pretty big skeptic when it comes to Korean food in the Midwest part of United States, but this place was actually surprisingly good. - Seafood Pancake - The best part of this dish is that they serve it in a pizza box, haha. The sauce is spot on and so is the flavor of the pancake itself. I really appreciate how much seafood they put in each bite. Some places of the pancake seems almost undercooked but other places are pretty crispy. - Soft Tofu Soup - I think this dish is actually fairly accurate to what you would expect from soft tofu, but I will say that it is on the slightly soupier side. - Banchan (Side Dishes) - Although the main dishes were great, the side dishes were just okay. The bean sprouts was definitely the best part. The kimchi didn't have a lot of flavor and the fish cakes had a very soft and loose consistency to it. It was a little weird. Also the potato salad was kind of weird too. Overall, not bad Korean food although I would skip the banchans. Would recommend the seafood pancake and the soft tofu and will definitely come back again for more.

Yelp
Can't really rate this yet (and Yelp won't take a review or comment without a star) but we did try to go here at 6:40 Pm because the hours for today (Monday) have it closing at 8pm. However when I called, they said they close at 7:30 pm. I really wish restaurants would stay open to the hours they advertise or set the hours on their page to their real hours.

Yelp
I really enjoyed my lunch! My appetizer was the octopus salad, which was very fresh and a delightful starter. As a follow-up to that, I had an order of eel nigiri sushi. For my main course, I had the squid soup. It had a spicy, delicious broth with squid, clams, and tofu as well as some subtle vegetables and hot peppers. The server was the owner who was extremely polite and efficient. Her presence made me feel very relaxed and comfortable. Can't wait to return!

Sarah G.

Yelp
Very delicious hole in the wall restaurant that is as authentic as it gets. Service is great and the family that runs it is very friendly. We had the kimbap, bibim naegmyeon, and galbi and all were 10/10. Kimchi could be a little more fermented but that's just being particular. Looking forward to visiting again!

Leslie H.

Yelp
Since I first moved here, this has consistently been my local go-to in Cleveland's Asiatown for tasty, authentic Korean food. I almost always get the Hot Stone Bibimbap-- make sure you really thoroughly stir up that artfully assembled bowl when it comes out for a well-distributed combination of savory meat and sautéed veggies with crispy, ever so slightly burnt rice in the spicy ssamjang sauce~ My only complaint is that they don't provide the standard sesame oil that you can drizzle on top for that extra added kick of umami. If by chance your heart isn't set on the delicious bibimbap, you also can't go wrong with any of the other classic dishes like Galbi Tang (short rib soup), Soondubu (spicy soft tofu soup) or Osam Bulgogi (spicy squid and pork if you like your bulgogi with a kick) They recently added a new banchan dish, myulchi bokkeum (stir-fried anchovies with sliced almonds), personally my fave and so addicting to munch on. You can ask for unlimited banchan refills and they provide a complimentary Yakult-style yogurt drink at the end, which is a nice nostalgic touch from my childhood that I always look forward to for finishing off meals at Ha Ahn.

Yelp
Awesome korean food! Really authentic and reasonably priced. I've been here a few times. It definitely has that family-run vibe where not much is spent on interior- it's all about the food. Located within a shopping center that also includes superior pho. A little hidden from the main street, but plenty of parking in the adjacent lot. Very few tables- I've never seen a wait, but it has gotten crowded. Food: If you're new to korean food, it always comes with banchan, which are a bunch of side dishes. Kimchi and pickled cucumbers are my favorite! If you want more, ask for it- it's complimentary. Get the hot stone bibimbap! Rice, a bunch of vegetables, meat and egg. Make sure to mix it with the spicy red sauce. The hot stone keeps the bibimbap cooking, so it says warm and crisps up while you're eating it. Other foods i can recommend- Pork bulgogi (bbq pork that's on the spicy side), Tteokbokki (chewy rice cakes in a spicy sauce) and the savory seafood pancake. Love the strawberry soft drink that's given at the end too. nice touch :)

Amy J.

Yelp
Teriyaki salmon was expensive at $17 but flavorful even if a bit overcooked and somewhat dry. The $21 galbi... why did I pay so much for this?!? It wasn't juicy. It was kind of dry. It did have grill marks and some grilled sesame oil-tinged beefy flavor but lacked sauce or really anything special. Just non-fatty kinda tough beef with bone pieces. Bad purchase. Stick with bulgogi (best item they have IMO) and shared food items here so you can afford to eat.

Gustav A.

Yelp
Great food made with Love. I'm a customer for life. Korean dishes take time and they obviously do it right.

Christina P.

Yelp
Someone explain to me why I don't come here more often. Do I forget it's there because of it's location or what? That's just ridiculous, this place has a parking lot in the back! Don't be like me, remember this little gem exists because the food here is great! My go-to at most Korean restaurants is sundubu jiggae (tofu stew) with seafood. This place does it really well. It's spicy but so worth it and they don't skimp out on the seafood. This time around I felt the need to reward myself with a job well done so I went with their pork bulgogi. I was in the mood for kbbq but, as I was by myself, going to a place to grill it was out. I'm always sort of hesitant to get already prepared bulgogi and galbi as I prefer to grill it myself at restaurants but I will say this did not disappoint. It was tender and had the great bulgogi taste with a bit of a kick to it from the added spicy sauce. The banchan (side dishes) was lovely as always with a nice variety of spicy, savory and fresh tastes as well as a steamed egg. Another thing I love about Korean restaurants in general, Ha Ahn included, you can always get more rice or banchan free of charge! The prices of the dishes themselves are pretty comparable to other Korean places in the area. This place is pretty tiny but they still somehow fit a surprising number of tables in, without making you feel claustrophobic. The service was pleasant but, like other Korean places, it's not super hands on which I prefer. Overall, love this place and I really do need to remember it exists.

Christine H.

Yelp
Went again because it's an amazing place with great people! Use masks and hand sanitizer and of course next to my Pho place where I always buy pho for home! Have to support! When you can !

Tiffany D.

Yelp
Visited state for the first time and glad I found this gem of a place. It was an unusually cold weekend for the summer and wanted something warm. The tofu soup came out sizzling! The dumplings were nice and crispy. I enjoyes a bibimbap with fresh ingredients and it was not too spicy. Thanks for your hospitality!

Jan W.

Yelp
The bulgogi gimbap is interesting. Might come back to try bento boxes. Seaweed salad was okay

Vicki T.

Yelp
Don't let the exterior of this restaurant keep you away from trying it! I would recommend this place to everyone I know in the town. There were lots of complimentary appetizers, including a pot of steamed egg. Tried the seafood pancake, which was recommended by most Yelpers here. It was stuffed with lots of seafood, and it was softer than I expected, but it still was a good dish. The beef bulgogi is ok. What really amazed me was the spicy tofu soup. It tasted so good that I could finish the whole meal by myself. Highly recommend

Vikash K.

Yelp
A small Korean place inside of a multi- restaurant building. Don't let the building or street parking fool you. This place is a small gem. The food was great and the staff super friendly. Really recommend coming here with a small group. Got the galbi which was amazing. Came out on a hot skillet with many sides. The fish cake and kimchi had lots of flavor and kick to it

Steven R.

Yelp
We typically stay close to home and go to Seoul Garden in Parma, but boy did we get a treat this time. Our son suggested we go to HA AHN and we did. Lunchtime was less crowded but the food was just as good as evening! Super service and fantastic flavors! We will definitely be back!

Marilyn C.

Yelp
My favorite Korean restaurant in Cleveland's Asia-town! I always get the soft tofu soup with pork served with a bowl of fluffy white rice and complimentary side dishes. The staff and owners are friendly and provide excellent customer service. I rate the overall experience as a 4.5/5! I took half a star off for location and seating. The restaurant is a bit tricky to find and the parking lot is unmarked but there is free parking in the rear of the store. Seating is limited in the store so the wait can be long if reservations aren't made prior. Definitely worth checking out!

Joyce H.

Yelp
I cannot believe I've never reviewed Ha Ahn until now. This place quickly became my favorite Korean restaurant in the Cleveland area and my new go to place for Korean food. First of all - their soondubu has healing powers. It's so good!!! Spicy, flavorful, with lots of seafood. Sometimes I order it with extra spiciness (and sometimes I suffer, but I always want more...) This is my go to dish here. Sometimes on the weekend, the older ladies are hand making the dumplings. SO GOOD. The galbi (grilled beef) is really tender and excellent too. Highly recommend. Galbitang is another favorite. Finally, the hoedeopbap (essentially sushi fish and rice) is excellent as well - great summer dish. Service is attentive - they are good about filling up your banchan (small dishes - comes with steamed egg!) and always present a yakult (yogurt drink) to you when you're done. FAV.

Maricar G.

Yelp
I come here more for sushi than I do for the Korean food. When you check in there is an offer for a free maki roll and 10% off. Ordered the chirashi bowl, which is a sampling of fresh sashimi in vat of seasoned sushi rice. For $18, this is very filling so wear your elastic pants, or be a Samaritan and share it with someone. I would estimate perhaps about 15 pieces which includes tuna, salmon, escolar, octopus and shrimp. As a Korean tradition, no meal is without its banchan. They serve about six of these side dishes and seem happy to refill as you please. Usually it's kimchi, some bean sprout, something tofu, dried fish etc. I've also had the bulgogi, which I would definitely order again, and again, and again. Comes out sizzling, tasty and plentiful. As a side tip, they are closed on Sundays. Ample free parking in the back.

Noel K.

Yelp
Tucked into a mall, Ha Ahn serves authentic, flavorful entrees and incredibly fresh banchan. Each of the sides were so tasty and complimentary of the beef & pork bulgogi. This restaurant has the best Korean food in Cleveland.

Madeline V.

Yelp
It's in the same plaza/mall as Superior Pho, so it's a little difficult to find and rarely the star of the show. However, I cannot stress how amazing this place is. It's very cozy (they only have 8 tables) and clearly family-run operation. The younger male server was extremely attentive and very nice. I usually get the bibimbap/bibimbab here (the cold one) as well as the Soft Tofu Soup. Both dishes always come out beautiful, and delicious. The meat is always flavorful and never dry, and the array of side dishes and garnish are always really fun to explore.

Rachel C.

Yelp
I ordered the pork bulgogi, which was a great choice. The meat was very tender and the dish was sweet and spicy. Lots of flavor. Presentation was great! The dish came out on a wooden platter and was steaming and smelled delicious. I personally didn't try the sushi, but was told it was okay! Not mind-blowing but not bad. Pretty average. The only negative remark I have is that the waitress may have been trying to be sarcastic funny? A member of our party ordered a sushi roll and asked to substitute the avocado for carrots and the waitress made a face and said "....no?" Was not sure if this was meant to be funny, but also did not receive the substitute carrots.

Yelp
Crow, yes I am eating some crow. This place was F#$%ing off the charts good. It was like they read my last review and wanted to improve, you have come along way baby , I should praise you like I should. 1st the service was fanastic. One super server there was, and a sushi chef. I was imedeately brought out tea. My order was taken promptly, complimentary miso soup and a mother load of banchan arrived. The steamed egg was fantastic. be careful as you could scald your mouth it was that hot and fresh. My beef and squid came out a short time later, it was surf and turf perfection. served on a sizzling platter, with that slightly sweet, salty, and spicy mix of flavors bursting in my mouth like a wonderful symphony. Oh how sorry I am for walking out on you more than three years ago, I should have given you a second chance. Thank you for taking me back. I see no reason to see anyone else but you.

Hwal L.

Yelp
I give this place a grand seal of approval. I was disparate for good Korean. Not good Asian, but KOREAN food one Monday night. It was close to 10pm and most places were either closed or almost closed when we decide to give this place a try. Admittedly it wasn't easy to find. A hole in the wall it was, and the surrounding area looked all industrial and grim at the time of night. Even as we were sat and given menus, I almost walked out and I'm almost ashamed! Once we made out orders, the food came out very fast, and my moaning began.. Their side dishes were impressive, bulgogi beef was exceptional! I think if they opened in Sydney they'd do very, very well. Waitstaff looked a bit rough but service was good, and their Korean yoghurt was unexpected and cute, I thought. The appetisers we had included agedashi tofu and crab roll wrapped in cucumber, and they were all clean and tasty, although I think the highlight was definitely bulgogi beef- recommended!! It was a beautiful night although it was hard to breathe afterwards...

Marsha Z.

Yelp
Good authentic Korean food. A smaller restaurant, more homey feel. I've had the lunch bento box with bulgogi, sundubu, yukgaejang, and hot stone bibimbap. Comes with the little Korean side dishes (kimchi, various vegetables, steamed egg, etc). Bathrooms are kinda sketchy

Alex M.

Yelp
Not sure if they changed something but the Korean food here doesn't deserve it's current reviews. It's not as good as miega or Korean house while also being a lot more expensive. I've also never seen a Korean restraint that charges for bonchon before so that's super cheap of them when their meals are already 3 or 4 dollars more than everywhere else.

Jaime W.

Yelp
I'm not sure if this place changed hands but I have to say that the food and service got way better. I've dined and taken carry out two separate occasions and both were superb. The place seemed that it got renovated too so it looks much nicer than before. The first time I went back was Friday afternoon and I was greeted immediately by a nice gentleman that served me. I ordered their Nambi udon soup with their eel and salmon nigiri. The soup was flavorful and it was what I needed on a rainy and gloomy day. The eel was fresh and it offered a nice side dish to the soup. The second time I had ordered out their Teuk Mandu Soup and the Rock and roll sushi. The soup again was so good that I finished it in one sitting and I couldn't leave any leftovers. The 4 dumplings were large and were filled with cabbage, noodles, and some pork. The rice cakes it came were also nice and chewy. The banchan (about 5 sides) also were delicious. The roll which I saved for later was also tasty and it works well together with the kimchi. I didn't see anything on their menu about BBQ but I have to say this has become my favorite go to Korean place than Seoul Garden. The prices are much more affordable and i would definitely come back again

Yelp
Great little place with sizable portions and decent Korean food! Conveniently next to one of the few Asian grocery markets in the area with very friendly service, and a decent bustle of people going in and out. Ordered a seafood tofu soup and cold noodle which was more than enough for 2 people, but would also recommend their seafood pancake or galbi if you're feeling extra hungry. The cold noodle is not quite like LA with the mustard sauce being on the milder end, but pretty solid. Tofu stew also flavorful enough to satisfy a good craving. What I really appreciate are the small dishes, especially the soft steamed egg which I don't always see at most restaurants. Would be interested in trying their Japanese food, but would definitely return for their Korean menu.

Yelp
I've ordered take-out from Ha Ahn twice now and both times have been great! We always order a seafood pancake which comes pretty big and with sauce. I also recommend their pork bulgogi it is slightly spicy but really flavorful! Take-out orders also come with a little set of banchan (side dishes) that remind me of eating at home! Overall, definitely worth for when you have a Korean food craving!

Yelp
After an early morning of volleyball in downtown, my girlfriend and I got hungry. She wanted Japanese while I didn't, so we saw this place was both Japanese and Korean. She gotten the caterpillar roll and avocado salmon roll, while I gotten the spicy tofu soup with seafood and pork bulgogi. I tried their sushi and it was good, nothing special. The pork bulgogi was also good, probably tried something else next time. And lastly the spicy tofu soup, this soup was one of the best soup I've ever tasted. There was an option to get it with pork and seafood, the seafood option had clams, mussel, squid, shrimp, and octopus in it. I let my girlfriend try both dishes and she honestly couldn't put down her spoon with this soup. This place also comes with small little appetizer which is a Korean tradition, I've never really witness this so I don't know if it's good or not (for comparison). It tasted good, mostly the potato's, green vegs and the steamed egg. Overall, I love this place. It's a small little restaurant which might not appeal to many, but I will come back to this place any day.

Yelp
Amazing is all I have to say, really good starters and everything was made to perfection in my opinion, the chigae was amaze and the kalbi was on point, japchae is to die for. Service is good and always attentive, price is also reasonable so hats off to the chef, definitely my new go to place for Saturday's

Yelp
Soft tofu soup is so amazing, I never wanted to try anything else. But then I had the pork bulgogi and was I melted in my seat it was so delicious. My friends regularly order sushi and bento boxes, and they must be good because they never turn down an opportunity to go to Ha Ahn. Love the banchan too, makes me wish I had a Korean grandmother. I'm honestly torn about leaving this review... they absolutely deserve high praise, but the place is kind of small and I would be pretty salty if it gets really popular and I can't eat lunch there every other day.

Yelp
My coworkers and I are obsessed with this place! Their sushi is amazing and fresh. The staff is really friendly and very helpful with suggestions. The portions are huge! It can be a little pricy for lunch but it's completely worth it. It can be hard to find if you aren't familiar with the area as there are 2 other Asian restaurants in the same building and no defining signage outside. There is a parking lot in the back, though, which is great for downtown. We have tried a selection of sushi rolls all very good. The sushi bento boxes are a huge portion with a very nice variety of food. I also tried the beef bulgogi which was very similar to a steak fajita with strips of meat onions and peppers. I ordered it without rice which they seemed confused by. Lastly, one of my favorites is their soup on a could day and it was great. Again a huge portion. Highly recommend!

Yelp
First and foremost the food is delicious and authentic! The Soon Dubu is perfect especially for a cold day, and the dol sot bibimbap (the hot bibimbap) is great. If you're looking for a healthy meal you can get it here. On the other hand you can go carnivore too ;) The ambience is pleasing, kind of a family feel and the wait staff really want you to be satisfied. I'll be back my next trip out.

Yelp
This is a small and cute place, reasonably priced, we were able to get a table for three right away on a Saturday at 6:30 even though it seemed to have a steady stream of customers. My partner and I are vegan, and we went with my brother, who is not vegan and who eats Korean food more often than us. They have vegetarian menu options marked, and we were able to ask our server about vegan items. We ended up trying the Dwenjang Chigae (bean paste soup), tofu maki roll, and Yaki Gyoza (vegetable fried dumplings). The Dwenjang Chigae was fantastic and the rest of the food was good too. It's too bad we can't have any but one of the side dishes which are served to the table, they all have fish in them. My brother enjoyed them and he enjoyed his meat dish as well. I would like to go back and see if they can make Hot Stone Bibimbap vegan-style! We liked the kpop playing inside too.

Yelp
Went here for the first time today with a friend for lunch. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of service and food. My friend and I each got a bento box and split the kani-su appetizer. We loved the kani-su (crab stick and avocado wrapped in cucumber and topped with a light citrus sauce). I'm pretty adventurous and my friend is not and we both enjoyed it. The bento boxes were delicious and fresh. I got the sushi bento box and my friend got the sushi/sashimi bento box. It included the entree, seaweed salad, California roll, two gyoza, house salad (with a ginger lime dressing) and some white rice. The tea is complimentary and they even provide you with a little cold dessert drink (not sure what it actually is, but it tastes like a smoothie) that's complimentary, too. I am looking forward to going back and trying the bibimbap as it looked delicious and authentic (make sure to get the hot stone bibimbap for the full experience!). The reason I rated four stars instead of five is because the service was actually quite slow. Unfortunately, not doable in under an hour for lunch.

Yelp
Yes! Will go there, and travel out of my way to go there. Sundubu Jigae (tofu seafood soup) was spicy as requested, with a flavorful broth and decent size pieces of squid, shrimp, clam. Ate every drop and scraped the bowl. Half dozen banchan: two kim chi, two cold fried things, mung sprouts, and an egg. Sashimi in very good size portions. Quick service, and Yaklut at the end. In Cleveland's AsiaTown district, so there are multiple groceries, restaurants, and other stores nearby. The women's room is run down and not particularly clean.
