Yelp
Came here for the first time last night and let's just say it did not fail to impress in any areas. One of the best restaurants/dining experiences on the big island.
First off, we didn't have a reservation and they seated us right away (party of 2) on a Monday night at around 7pm. We had an amazing view of the sunset, wonderful live music, and a comfy seating arrangement. Great for casual or upscale dining. We came right after a round of golf at mauna lani and attire was relaxed.
The staff was the best. Attentive, kind, and pleasant. The were constantly on top of serving the needs of the customer. Not once did we have to ask for a refill of water. They just did it. They also checked in just enough to make sure we were happy, but also didn't bother us.
Unlike the Copper Bar (at Mauna Kea), this place was extremely cautious of our nut allergy and the experience didn't end in a hospital visit! So if you have any severe allergies, I would highly recommend dining at Halani.
As for the food, it's top notch. We started off with the Ahi appetizer (MUST HAVE) & wings. I would 10/10 recommend both. For entrees we got the mushroom garlic pizza and it was the best! We also ordered a fish dish from the special menu and let's just say... we'll be back! On top of that their drink menu is impressive, and the desserts even better! We got one scoop of kona coffee ice cream which came with chocolate shavings on top. I also got a scoop of mango sorbet which had a strawberry with it. Food quality, texture, flavor, and taste was out of this world.
HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. You're missing out if you don't dine here.
