Haad Yao Bayview

I booked a hotel room more than a week before my arrival as a solo traveler. Naturally, I expected that when I arrived, like in all the other places I had booked in advance, my room would be ready. When I got to the hotel, the receptionist told me that there was no available room for me and that I would have to spend the night either at her house or in the cleaner’s room. Of course, I had no choice, so I had to sleep in a place I didn’t know. Only the next day was I able to check into the hotel room I had originally booked. It’s quite ridiculous that I made a reservation in advance, yet when I arrived, the room wasn’t available. It was a very unpleasant experience, especially after a long and exhausting journey when all I wanted was to rest. I will definitely not return to this place. It left me with a very bad impression.

Had a good stay at Haad Yao Bay View Resort in Koh Phangan, with beautiful views and great value for money. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the location was perfect for a peaceful getaway. However, the service was lacking. The staff didn’t seem very attentive or eager to help, which was a bit disappointing. Despite this, the overall experience was still positive, especially considering the affordable price. If the service improves, it could easily be a top choice for a relaxing stay in Koh Phangan.

Bad service, very unwelcoming and unhelpful, average rooms. We booked a taxi service through the hotel, paid in advance and made sure they would pick us up at the desired time to get to the ferry on time. The taxi did not arrive and they did not bring us the deposit we put on the room key. Due to the hotel's irresponsibility, we missed our ferry and had to pay a lot of money. Do not trust them or book anything through them. They are simply bad.

Old-style hotel. Service is not particularly friendly. Rooms are ok during low season at 800 Baht per room, but high-season pricing at 1,400 seems a bit high for a plain room like this. Towels smelled not fresh. Room smelled like a mix of cleaning products and room spray - had to air it first upon entering, and that brought in mosquitoes. Wifi was pretty bad. Bed was comfy-not too soft, pillows not too high. Overall ok if there’s no better option but definitely not my first choice.

We arrived here planning on staying 3 nights, when we got off the ferry we had pre planned with the hotel for a taxi to pick us up, after lots of phone calls being declined they finally answered and said the taxi would be 10 minutes, over an hour later they call to say the taxi was there waiting. When we finally got to the resort we were shown to our room which was completely different from the pictures on the website. The shower was freezing cold and sprayed all over the bathroom floor and the room was very dated, the windows could easily be pulled open from the outside and the bedding and towels smelt musty. There was also a blanket on the bed which pretty sure hadn’t been washed in a while there were lots of dark hairs on it (i’m blonde so not mine) and there was sand all in the bedding. We walked down to the restaurant for dinner which was very pretty over looking the sea and both ordered pasta which tasted like it had just come out of a microwave definitely was not made fresh! The pool was green with algy. We decided to stay for the night and give it a chance but was awake all night from the noise and then in the morning we could hear screaming, and shouting from what sounded like the cleaners outside. We decided to check out 2 days early and cut our losses with the money we felt very dissapointed and sad that our stay had been cut short as were excited for a stay in Koh Phangan. Would not recommend

Don't even dream of booking rooms in this resort. The Lady manager is heartless, pitiless and would not even address your rights. I already Book 3 rooms with full payment done but on arrival was denied the rooms with stupid reason. She instead send us to Bantai, Mac's bay resort with basic amenities but Mac's bay have a better beach, better restaurants nearby and friendlier staff. The resort surroundings is also beautiful. Thai people are always welcoming and smiling but will never forget the terrible experience I had with Haad yao Bay view resort. Will visit Thailand in the future but never Haad yao Bay view resorts even if it's for free.

I like this place alot! Was staying here for 2 month and the location is amazing. Good breakfast Buffet directly next to the beach and also the beach is amazing for nice walks. Very good quality for a fair price 👍🏼

Try to have a romantic couple days away and thought that this would be the best option. How wrong we were! They tell you that you get a free transport from the pier to the hotel and Back. BUT, when you get to the hotel and you want to go back to the pier they say that you have to pay 150Baht per person and that the was another person on the phone that made a mistake. “We should have paid for the lift from the pier to the hotel” It’s a trap! 🤣 OVERALL: - Location is too far away from anything. - The staff wasn’t really friendly. - We had breakfast there - AVOID! - The bed was harder than Dwayne “Rock” Johnson. - Shower isn’t really a shower: • It was made for a child’s height, • Sprayed everywhere, but in one direction, • Would’ve been better getting a shower from the sink. • the water was either colder than the Antarctic or hotter than the Sahara desert. The only good thing I could honestly say is that the view was amazing!
