Haad Yao Bayview

I got standard room for 800 baht and 200 baht for breakfast . The room is sooo old and .... creepy and rhe bed and the sheets and blanket are like since World war II , its disgusting how cheap is this room could be , the water pressure not stable ,no soap and i cant find new room and other places nearby are fully booked , really diaappointing of low quality . This room should worth 400 baht per night . The hotel if u read this , u are taking advantage of guest no one shoukd pay for this standard of bed at least invest some money for the bedding . The photos of overall hotel and common area are overrated , the actual is really old and not as new as in pic. LASTLY !! omg. I was hoping the breakfast will make it up for the bad room but no ! it was seriously as bad , the sausage and bacon taste so bad and everthing in the dish of cheap quality and incliding drinks ... well the best about this is watermelon that's it. JUST BEING HONEST .

I cannot comment on the rooms, but if you come from outside just for breakfast, the experience is very disappointing. The staff is unfriendly, unwelcoming, and gives the impression that guests don’t matter at all. It’s not a pleasant atmosphere. The coffee was very poor, the breakfast itself was not good either – small portions, overpriced, and definitely not worth it. On the island, you can find much better quality for the same or even lower price.

We stayed at another resort on the beach but found everyday breakfast here during our two weeks excellent. 150 B per person buffet breakfast eat all you want. Great coffee and juices aswell. Mama Tim treated as like a true mother and her friendly staff were amazing and absolutely loveable. Great views from the tables, in fact nothing to complain about as we had looked at other eateries on the beach and in town when we arrived. True value for money in our humble opinion 👌

Just don’t! Unhelpful staff (upper management), a lack of organisation, so far from the main part of the island. At night it can be incredibly loud with people partying until 3am or 4am, and no one answers the reception phone. It’s also different to the photos with no sun lingers around the pool

Honestly a little disappointed with our stay here! The staff wasn’t very nice. After a customer came up to the desk nicely asking if someone could come help her turn her water on, when she left I overheard the staff member laughing and complaining. The only sweet staff member we met was a nice older lady running the breakfast. We were wanting to swim, but the pool was green, so we didn't feel comfortable doing so. Also, the location was pretty far from everything.

I am 33 years old and I am fit. This would be a great place, if it wasn't for the 500 flights of stairs to get to the room. For hiking mount everest, it at least came with a beautiful view. These stairs, were built for people with 5ft long legs. If you are going to have this many stairs there should be people to help carry things up the stairs or some kind of handicap access. Or at least when someone asks for a room as close to the bottom as possible. Don't put them at the very top as far away as you can....................

I've been there with my two Kids. I Tell you about my Personal experience. We stay at koh phangan for 3 month, so it was accepteable to be there for 7 days. Positiv: The staff was always friendly and helpful to us, Especially at the breakfast Buffet. The breakfast Buffet was tasty and big. It's an elder place. Rooms big and funktional to us. Negativ: Pitily not bright rooms, and not up to date in renovation. Placed on a hillside but no Single elevator. One Pool totally broken, not working. The other one next to the Restaurant didn't seem so inviting to us, so we always went to nearby location CocoLoco to enjoy our time at haad yao. It needs more attention to change that, in my opinion. All together it was ok to be there, due to the breakfast was nice and the staff so friendly. But because of the one not useable and the one not so fresh pool the price was way to high for my opinion. I wish the Management to take Aktion and invest im their place, otherwise it'll keep customers having an disappointing experience. Or at least reduce the price by 30% (probably won't Happen 🤣) Good luck

I booked a hotel room more than a week before my arrival as a solo traveler. Naturally, I expected that when I arrived, like in all the other places I had booked in advance, my room would be ready. When I got to the hotel, the receptionist told me that there was no available room for me and that I would have to spend the night either at her house or in the cleaner’s room. Of course, I had no choice, so I had to sleep in a place I didn’t know. Only the next day was I able to check into the hotel room I had originally booked. It’s quite ridiculous that I made a reservation in advance, yet when I arrived, the room wasn’t available. It was a very unpleasant experience, especially after a long and exhausting journey when all I wanted was to rest. I will definitely not return to this place. It left me with a very bad impression.
