Ha(a)ïtza (Pyla sur Mer, Nouvelle Aquitaine) 1 Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Its name may be a bit of a thumb-twister, but the appeal of the seaside Hôtel Ha(a)ïtza is a straightforward one: a fine location close to the Dune de Pilat, less than an hour’s drive from Bordeaux; a 1930s villa with a memorable silhouette; and modern interiors by none other than Philippe Starck. Its rooms, suites, and apartment are unfailingly stylish and bright, as is, in a different way, the hotel’s photogenic pool deck. To these charms it adds a spa by Codage and three restaurants: a café, a brasserie, and The Skiff Club, recipient of two MICHELIN Stars and one Green Star." - Tablet Hotels

Ha(a)ïtza, a Design Boutique Hotel Pyla-sur-Mer, France

"Philippe Starck’s new project, the hotel Ha(a)ïtza is located next to the Dune of Pilat and the famous hotel La Co(o)rniche. The hotel features a covered swimming pool under an opening glass roof as well as a Ren spa, a famous Parisian hairdresser's salon, and a Techno-gym fitness room. Ha(a)ïtza also includes a gastronomic restaurant run by Chef Stéphane Carrade, a cocktail bar, a cake shop and a tea house providing a selection of infusions and organic teas. The spacious reception hall, with a view over the swimming pool, can host weddings for up to 200 people. Guests will also find a boutique, and a conference room with a 50-person capacity. Mixing the light wood and warm-white tones with fine touches of steel, the room decoration follows perfectly the Philippe Starck’s best codes, for a refined and unpretentious style. The glazed bathroom opens on the gentle and welcoming bedroom." - My Boutique Hotel (en)

We stayed in a suite which is well decorated. We recommend the third floor as you have nice view on the sea and pine trees forest around.|We had massage: face and body 1h which was well done. Staff at reception and concierge are professionnal. Nice pool with open roof.|We recommend to go to the two stars Michelin restaurant the skiff, worth the experience. |Clean room with turndown service and cake on the pillow. |Hotel is a few steps from a beach and also you can rent bikes for nice walk around.|On the downside, breakfast was disorganized the first day. We had to wait 30 mn to be served tea and after we ask at the bar, we were told they would come on the terrasse but nobody cam after 15 mn so we went directly to the kitchen to order eggs. Second day was much better.|We recommend also to go to sister place Hotel La Corniche with amazing view on la Dune du Pylla and for the night club ambiance. |We will definitely come back

A(a)pero before dinner, we order a bottle of champagne for 4, it probably took a good 20min to come, with the wrong glasses. The service staff was very nice but unfortunately quite hopeless. D(o)omage…

Loved our stay at the Haitza! Gorgeous bedrooms with a real feel of luxury…. And housekeeping standards were exceptional. ||Great food - we really enjoyed the breakfasts and the Sunday Brunch was sensational… a real treat! ||Loved the location close to the beach. It’s a little way from Arcachon - although we hired ebikes and cycled in on the pathways which was very easy and enjoyable. ||Above all - the staff stood out for being really pleasant and very helpful. Melissa (and Matilde!) on the front desk was exceptional - a warm welcome every time we arrived back at the hotel and couldn’t do enough to help. ||We’d love to come back!

Exceeding my expectations. The room and the restaurants looked better than on the pictures. The design is very well done, though the normal rooms are a bit small. The attention to detail is amazing. What makes all the difference is the staff. Everyone was wonderful, friendly, welcoming and very helpful. The hotel is just 1 Minute away from a small beach. If you want to go to the very long and beautiful beach at Dune du Pilat, the hotels provides a shuttle that drops you off at the top of some stairs, so it is just a 5-10 minute walk. I didn‘t want to leave and will definitely be back!

First time to the Bordeaux region and the close by Atlantic coast. By pure luck we found this gem in Pyla-sur-Mer and booked the top level apartment for 3 nights. While we nearly had the hotel to our own (at least it felt like it) in the first 2 days, it got busier towards the weekend. Nevertheless the service was impeccable, always someone to help and amazing with the kids. Superb 5 star service, a top concierge that made our trip one of the best ones ever and nice restaurants and bars. The breakfast was a nice and fresh selection, top quality and relaxed seating, both indoors and outdoors. On our last night the concierge booked the restaurant at the sister property Co(o)rniche just up the road, great sunset, good music, cold drinks and fab service. Overall one of the best stays I had in my life, we will def come back.
