Ropa Vieja de Pollo translates to dirty laundry and is a very traditional dish. Shredded chicken slowly cooked with creole tomato and red wine sauce with sweet plantains, white rice, and beans is very good and very filling, can't go wrong with the traditional.
Jarrete de Cerdo are white wine braised pork shanks with mashed potatoes. The pork is very tender and very tasty - went perfect with the mashed potatoes which were some of the very best I've ever eaten, I would go with the entrée size if your looking for a solid delicious meal.
Empanadas with chicken were very good, crispy, good flavor, honestly wasn't much for the dipping sauce but ketchup was a nice substitute and for thought I would offer some honey mustard, ketchup, and something else in those saucers. I wouldn't try the vegetable empanadas again, they seemed lacking unworthy to finish after trying the chicken.
Apple cake for dessert was decent enough it's cake and ice cream was some pizzazz.
Overall, great place, fun and interesting. There is beautiful art work on display, there is great music playing, there is a 1951 Plymouth you can get into, there is an old bank vault, since the building used to be a bank, the customer service was on point, and the food was really good.
