7 Essential Jordanian Foods to Eat While in Jordan - AFAR

"A 70-year-old downtown institution famed for Palestinian-style knafeh made with brined white cheese (Nabulsieh/Akkawi), drenched in rose-water syrup and topped with pistachios. Visitors often queue from the tiny alley to the main street to choose between knishneh (crunchy kadaif noodles) and naameh (soft semolina crust) versions—many recommend trying both." - Yulia Denisyuk

You should definitely come here if you want to taste the best Kunafah in the world! The service is great, the sweets — both Arabic and international — are absolutely delicious. Lovely, friendly atmosphere. A must-visit for dessert lovers! 🍰🌟

If you have a sweet tooth and find yourself in Jordan, Habiba Sweets is a must-visit! We were recommended to try it, and I was genuinely impressed by the sheer variety of treats they offer. As a former bakery owner, I truly appreciated the meticulous display of cakes, pastries, cookies, macarons, Arabic sweets, and beautifully arranged gift boxes. The ambiance of the shop itself adds to the experience, making it not just a place to buy sweets but to indulge in a delightful journey of flavors. We were graciously offered a piece of baklava, which was incredibly fresh and perfectly balanced in sweetness and texture. Whether you’re looking for a quick treat, a gift, or simply a place to satisfy your dessert cravings, Habiba Sweets is well worth a visit. Highly recommended!

So stunning to see a large sweet shop like Habibah. We asked the staffs to help us order small pieces of many varieties and they were willing to help. All of sweets were very delicious. Despite we try not to eat too much to avoid sugar we still love it.

Delicious desserts, but disappointing upstairs experience. The desserts here are seriously worth a try — rich, tasty, and totally satisfying. 👍 However, the upstairs dining policy is confusing. You can't just bring your dessert up; you must order a drink to sit there. Unfortunately, the service upstairs didn’t match the quality of the food. Staff were inattentive and unfriendly, with many dirty tables left uncleared. I waited nearly 30 minutes before giving up and placing my drink order at the cashier myself. That said, the hot chocolate was excellent. Just wish the service matched the flavor.

Habibah Sweets in Amman is a true dessert destination! Their unique Muhayara (محيرة) kunafa delivers a delightful twist on tradition, perfectly balancing sweetness and texture. From classic Arabic sweets like kunafa and baklava to indulgent Western-style cakes and pastries, every bite is rich and satisfying. The presentation is elegant, and the service is friendly and efficient. Ideal for dessert lovers seeking both heritage flavours and modern treats in Jordan.

A must-try for authentic Jordanian desserts! You can’t visit Amman without stopping by Habiba. Their knafeh is legendary—warm, crispy, cheesy, and dripping with syrupy goodness. Even when there’s a long queue, it moves fast and is totally worth the wait. The place is simple and traditional, but the flavors are rich and unforgettable. It’s the perfect spot for a sweet break after a long day of exploring the city.

The largest branch that i know ever for sweets Kunafa 100% significantly stretchy with high quality Nables cheese Baqlava with pistachios was too expensive but it was really very delicious and so tasty New modern western pieces for 2 and 3 Jordanian dinars are a little highly recommended if you get it fresh recents Brand expanded significantly to Gulf countries and Riyadh branch with totally different price lists is one of the most popular places in Solaymania
