As someone from both Lebanon and Palestine, I've always been a proud connoisseur of kunafa and I stand by the fact that our versions are the best as i tried the one in turkey and wasn't impressed either! Still, for years, Habiba Sweets in Amman has been on my must-try list. When I found myself in the bustling Wast El Balad (downtown), I knew it was finally time. Luckily, the queue wasn't too long, and I was immediately struck by the incredibly affordable prices. For a place that's a genuine tourist hot spot, the value is amazing. The staff were super friendly, adding to the warm, inviting atmosphere. I ordered the smooth kunafah (naa'mi), and while I was excited to finally taste it, I have to admit I was a little disappointed. The cheese was tasty, but the top layer was a bit too thick for my liking, and it didn't quite live up to my expectations. Still, the overall experience was great. Sitting by the shop and soaking in the lively vibe was a treat in itself. Next time, I'll definitely try the other kind or maybe even both!

One of the multiple locations of Habibab Sweets. But this one is special, as there are no sitting seats and all the people are sitting outside on the street what gives it a special atmosphere. Loved it a lot, came here twice during my stay in Amman

The Downtown (Wasat Al-Balad) branch of Habibah offers the most authentic experience. The kunafa is fresh, flavorful, and truly represents the original taste people come for. The atmosphere is lively and traditional, giving you a real feel of old Amman. It’s often busy, but that’s part of the charm — definitely the very good spot to enjoy Habibah’s kunafa

As usual the best Kunafeh in Jordan with no doubt 5/5 The endless line throughout the year is a good prove

I’ve tried countless knafeh in Jordan, but Habibah is the top one. It’s delicious and very flavorful! Both fine and rough knafeh are great. It’s fresh made and that’s guaranteed. The line is ALWAYS long and boring but it’s 100% worth it and you won’t regret it. I would always stand in the line even tho there’s another Habibah store near because you know this one has the freshest knafeh. The outside seats are always taken and I could barely find someone near to sit and eat which is kinda annoying but also understandable. Love from USA 🇺🇸.

Great desert! The perfect amount of sweetness which is not too much, so that you can eat the whole portion. The ingredients feel super fresh and tasty!

This is the best knafeh I have ever tried, went there twice with my husband and we loved it. It's not heavy and the goat cheese was fantastic. Will be going back many more times InshaAllah.

Do you know which Habibah is the original and the best? Is this point often disputed (is it? I actually don't know)? I've been told that this is the one, from reputable sources, no less! Let me tell you about my journey. It was maybe the first or second day of Ramadan. If you're reading this as a non local, non muslim, then you may not know the significance of this detail. During Ramadan, muslims fast throughout the day. Therefore, restaurants are closed when the sun is out. But let me tell you, the experience of being in Amman during Ramadan at night is like a slow moving electron riding through a circuit on its way to powering a blender filled with delicious sweet cheeses and syrupy goodness! There are two types of knafeh, the soft/smooth variant, and the rough variant. Knafeh Na'ameh and Knafeh Khishneh, respectively. Everyone has their preferences. I've tried both, and I will tell you, the smooth one is absolutely my favorite. If this is your first time, I'd recommend having both so that you can form your own opinion. But, if you can only have one, if you're not a true foodie, then at least try the smooth one. And if you want to fulfill your tiktok insta dreams, go across the street afterwards and get yourself a scoop of Arabic ice cream to go on it. Although, if you ask me, the knafeh is better on its own. I will be back the next time I'm in town. This is a must try if you are visiting. Do. Not. Miss. It!
