Habitat Boutique Hotel

Very nice boutique hotel. The rooms are just as pictured on the website. The most comfortable bed in our two week trip. Well located in the teatro square. The walls are quite thin and we could almost hear the exact conversation from the adjoining room- otherwise would be 5 stars. Breakfast was very good. We did not eat in their restaurant. The staff were very helpful and eager to please. I would stay again.

Had an exceptional experience with our room, which was on the 3rd floor as well as the staff and service. Wonderful location in Catania although a bit challenging to initially find. Room was spacious and comfortable. The balcony looking into the courtyard was a great way to enjoy a morning coffee. A wonderful part was daily breakfast! The two lovely ladies that took care of us each morning were warm, gracious and took joy in what they freshly prepared. An outstanding way to start each day in Catania.

We stayed for 7 nights and I think it was an amazing choice! The hotel is very well located, you can reach pretty much anything by just walking with plenty of restaurants and cafes around. The room was well equipped and cozy with a pretty view over the backyard. The bathroom was also very beautiful! We looked forward to breakfast every day. There are great options for both sweet and savory breakfast foods, including eggs, cheeses, meats and local specialties. It was always such a great start to our day. People working there are incredible. Big thanks to Nadia, Raffaele and Valentina! They made our stay in Catania special, providing tips and advice how to get most of it 🥰

Located in the middle of Catania, the Habitat hotel is a stylishly designed hotel with friendly and helpful staff. There is a clear concept at play and it is consistently applied. Everything in the room was new and clean and of high quality (even the soup provided). The room was large and had an unusual layout (great design), where you could see into the shower from the walk-in-closest (so maybe best for couples or singles). Internet worked very well. View into the courtyard. The only downside would be the noise level: one could hear people entering the other rooms and moving around in the room above. The hotel seems to be aware of that and provides ear plugs. Staff was great at recommending really good places in Catania. The hotel is in the ZTL, the zone where you cannot enter by car. Instead, you can park in one of the nearby streets for free.

This hotel is an exceptional boutique hotel once you find it (they need a new sign!). Every detail is well-thought out. And the transformation of this historic space is wonderful. Very charming and relaxing. Good location quite near shopping and historic sites.

Habitat is a very comfortable & architecturally attractive hotel with mid-century modern décor. Its location on a lovely, quiet street is ideal. Museo Diocesano (great view of Etna & the city from its roof) is 8-minutes away by foot. The hotel’s interior patio is a pleasant place to sit & relax.||Raffaele at the front desk was professional, friendly & a big help to us re local suggestions & researching transportation options to our next destination. ||The breakfast buffet is a special feature of Habitat. It’s offered in a beautiful & bright space that converts to a restaurant at night. Extremely fresh farm-to-table offerings - - all of the highest quality - - impressive even for food-serious Sicily. The coffee is made-to-order (not automatic machine) & the breakfast staff is pleasant & attentive. Manuela is the talented chef who creates their amazing pastries. ||A very nice hotel experience. We’ll definitely plan to stay here on our next visit to Catania.

This place is hard to find with google maps. They should fix that. Had to go to reservation and pull the right address. Bit hidden… parking garage is about 4 mins walk and costs 20 euro a day. The hotel itself is unique. Walking past the entrance gate, you are greeted by a herb garden which the restaurant uses. Lives up to the ‘boutique’ name. The service is amazing. We were lucky to have Rafael greet us and our daughter loved him. He was helpful from the moment we arrived. The hotel itself is in pretty good location, everything within walking distance. The room itself is pretty modern, massive bathroom, smart TV, cold AC, interesting mini bar with some local beers. Breakfast is good with good variety. Only bizarre thing we didn’t love is at night, the pool hall or bar or whatever next door is accessible through the herb garden so you can see teenagers playing pool, music etc and anyone can walk in the hotel. No real bar here either. Overall would recommend this hotel.

I stayed in 3 separate rooms here during my stay The first room was small and quiet, room 0-1 nothing spectacular but it was nice and was just what I needed. The second room I stayed in was very luxurious, room 3-2; absolutely gorgeous with a beautiful view of the piazza and a lovely tile floor, two balconies and a large selection in the mini bar. This felt more like a small apartment than a hotel room and I felt very spoiled. This was the best room. The last room I stayed in was 0-3 and the worst room. It smelled like urine the whole night I was in the room, and when mentioned to staff they didn’t seem to care. There was not another room to move me to, but also there was not an effort made to try and remedy this either. Very disappointing. The hotel breakfast here is amazing with a lovely variety of foods. The staff overall is very kind, and remembered my name the whole time I was staying there with them. These details really meant a lot. The biggest thing that was disappointing was my last night in room 0-3 when it smelled like urine and no one seemed to care to help me. When I return to Catania I will likely stay here again, but will be FIRM in requesting that I do not stay in room 0-3 because of that experience. Otherwise overall this is a really nice hotel.

This is a cute boutique hotel near Piazza Vincenzo Bellini. It is close by many shops and restaurants, and a very convenient and short walk to Basilica Cattedrale di Sant'Agata, Teatro Massimo, the fish market and lots of great shops. The rooms here are clean, and despite it being centrally located in such a busy city, very quiet. AC is available. There is a restaurant on site as well, and a delicious breakfast available every morning. The staff here is very polite and professional, with extra services available for airport pickups and drop off if requested which can be arranged for you for an added but reasonable fee. This is a great hotel with a convenient location here in Catania.

The breakfast at the Habitat was excellent. The variety of home baked goods, fresh squeezed juices, fresh fruits, breakfast meats, and eggs, homemade jams and cereal bar were all amazing. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. Kudos to Janne!
