Google
Definitely the best of it's kind - this is where you go if you want hummus! Very quick & friendly service most days. They can get busy at times but the food still arrives relatively quickly. Perfect concept where you can mix your own small dishes together or get their pre made platters. Wonderful drink options - perfect mint tea with real mint leaves! And much more. The dinner-friendly Hummus platters are huge. I couldn't finish mine despite being super hungry. Very vegan friendly but also serves dairy and meat. So you can come here with anyone! Even children. Super child friendly with varied seating options and a few toys & lots of puzzles & games to play when here. Adults can play too 😄😜

Google
Maybe its love at first sight or maybe because this place reminds me of another aesthetically relevant place from back home, I totally loved Habsak. It is raw, aesthetic and cool. The food is good too so are the smoothies. A bit tight at times when it is crowdy but I don't mind that at all.

Google
What would you like with your hummus?? It's good but quite pricy considering the simplicity. Fantastic flavours, friendly staff and cool vibe. We didn't leave much on our plates that's for sure

Google
For me top restaurant witch is slightly out of oslo center. The food is tasty and nice looking. Falafel was excellent . The price is afortable if we consider other restaurants in Oslo. They also have large portions. I higly recomend this restaurant.

Google
Very hipster Mediterranean food in Oslo. With a cool decor. Walls are covered with quotes and contemporary art stamps.

Discovered this place on Google and it looked promising. Visited and it and it lived up to the expectations. A warm, welcoming atmosphere with nice music. They have board games as well. The food is absolutely delicious and the staff is very friendly. Recommended to experience it yourself.

Google
Average falafel. The bread was a disappointment - not real pita bread. Overall, it was a decent quick meal, but overpriced for what you get. The atmosphere inside is nice (a bit retro even) - there are couches where you can relax. I also saw people studying.

Google
My favourite place on a brief visit these early winter days in Oslo. Warm, cosy, friendly, great coffee, good soup, flavourful falafel platter. Nice to chill out or to do a full afternoon of wwwork over coffee(s).

Yelp
Closed! Do not come here. It is closed. Apparently I need a few more characters for this to show up, so to summarize, this restaurant is closed and there is really no reason for you to try to come to it. Hopefully that helps.

Elisan F.

Yelp
We tried to go here but the place appears to no longer be in business. Closed up with To Let signs in the window.

Yelp
Reasonably priced middle eastern food not too far from everything in Oslo. And they have beer too. It's also a bit like a cafe because people were there working on their MacBooks etc. You might want to over order if you are hungry and American. This is true European serving sizes.

Henrik S.

Yelp
Excellent food with lots of vegan options. Nice casual atmosphere. Very good smoothies that can be spiked :) Definitely worth a visit. Perfect place for a weekend lunch.

Yelp
This is a really great restaurant in the centrum of Alexander Kiellands Plass. They have both a combination of meat dishes as well as vegan and vegetarian food. Their main courses are mainly Hummus with different additions like chickpeas, chickens, salad or other greens. The place is very laid back and doesn't take itself very seriously in terms of inventory etc, which is, in my opinion a good thing. If you're a vegetarian, vegan or you generally appreciate food from the middle east, you must visit this place! I really recommend it!

Yelp
We came here to eat something vegetarian, everything what we taste was so delicious. Now we order desert and i can't wait to taste it

Yelp
Came here on a Friday evening and was pleasantly surprised by the location and atmosphere. It's more like a laid back cafe & bar then a restaurant. But first you gotta climb the steep stair up to the main area where you are greeted by a bar-look-alike counter. On the board, you see the summary of the menu, food on the left and drinks on the right. For detailed menu, grab the menu on the counter. On the left you will find an area with table & chairs where you can sit down. We tried the Hummus & Falafel 163kr and Hummus & Chicken 173kr plates. You will get a plate of hummus and another plate of pita, corn chips, beets salad & few other condiments. The hummus are not bad, a little bland & dry for my taste, I do prefer it to be a little more garlicky. As for the falafel, again, it was OK with lack of flavor & not very crunchy outside. As for the roasted chicken, it was decent & can get a little dry when dip with the pita. That being said, for the price, it really fills you up and I really liked the ambiance. Remind me of a hippy hangout spot with arts, photos on the walls and few knick-knacks for decor.

Yelp
Middle Eastern-themed hang-out place serving excellent baba ganoush and falafel. You can order mezes of many small dishes. Good hummus and tahini pastes, nice warm pitas. Extra spicy harissa (and I'm way up there in heat tolerance). Quinoa tabbouleh was a little average. Mezes and drinks come out to a little more than 200kr per person. It's a great place for certain cliques and should be fantastic for lunches. However, it is not for everyone's taste as it borders on all-vegetarian menu. There are a couple options for lamb merguez (sausage) and chicken, but we didn't have it because of Meatless Monday. For my vegetarian friend, this place is vegan heaven. Some customers come here to spend time with friends. Kasbah provides a lot of board games and big sofas, and a full bar with a good selection of mixed drinks.

Yelp
This place was cozy and very homey, with delicious Middle Eastern fare! We had the rich Moroccan soup, which was chock full of tender vegetables. I had the hummus sandwich, which I took the liberty of stuffing with minced lamb and some labneh, which made for a very delicious combination. If I lived in Oslo I would come here so often!! Highly recommended!

Victoria W.

Yelp
Fantastic Mediterranean food with awesome and plentiful vegan options! I ordered the mini meze vegan plate and it was delicious! Perfect portion size at a great affordable price.

Vanessa M.

Yelp
A little pricey, but what isn't in Oslo. Food is wonderful and very fresh. Eccentric decorations and feels like you are in NYC in Williamsburg. Super hipster and relaxing atmosphere!

Megan S.

Yelp
Yay for this place! I adored it! We went here for a Yelp English Quiz Night (which apparently happens only once a month). This was a nice change of pace from the Norwegian quiz nights I have gone to at other bars because ... well... Norwegian is not my mother tongue by any stretch of the imagination. The cafe/bar presents a very relaxing and chill atmosphere and I could tell almost immediately that this was the place I've been looking for the entire time I've been in Norway. I felt right at home. We only ate some falafel and hummus but both were just incredible. And, of course, in my true fashion, drank some beer. They also serve popcorn which hits the spot as a late night snack for sure. The quiz was fun! The first two rounds were awesome with interesting and random questions that kept us all on our toes and wanting to win and try hard. Round three was a bit of a doozy as it was about coversongs (which in my opinion should be illegal in the first place). I seriously think that the quiz could benefit from something different besides lame coversongs, but I digress... The best part of the night was the host of the quiz. I can't even explain how funny and entertaining he was. You'll just have to check it out for yourselves ;) I know you'll enjoy the place!

Yelp
Lonely Planet must try and good reviews on Yelp, we walked quite a bit to find this place. We ordered different mezze to share and a nice bottle of red wine. Service was friendly and food was good, although a bit small for the price. The place itself is lovely and ideal to spend a cozy night chatting.

Bonny P.

Yelp
Low-key, fresh, and vegetarian-friendly place. Good amount of food for the price (especially for Norway). My husband and I split the hummus platter/plate and a side of baba ganoush, and it was delicious.

Jakob L.

Yelp
This is a great local place for me, the vegetarian food is fantastic choice since Oslo itsoften hard to find. I have not tried the food truck yet. The lentil soup was great, so nice for a hangover. The pita bread first time I went was a bit chewy - but I told them the second time and they grilled it with perfection. I think they make their own pita? The falafel is good regardless and hummus delicious. Great service and nice English speaking place (at least for my English speaking friends):) Only complaint is the merguez beef plate was a bit pricey, don´t think should charge so much for two small sausages and salad... Otherwise recommended!

Jen Y.

Yelp
Like a cozy little oasis is Oslo. Reasonable prices, tasty food, games to keep the kids entertained, free wifi... and self-serve water which seemed so rare and special!

Anurag S.

Yelp
Quick service . Delicious food but was a bit blad that's why 4 stars . I had the chicken in a pita . And very reasonably priced considering it's location.

Tore E.

Yelp
If you bring a laptop - this is the best sportsbar in oslo. Awsome food, great people both working and visiting. Me and a buddy camped in their couch for a whole sunday with a laptop. Eating, drinking and enjoying our "day after"-stream of a US sporting event. 10/10 with or without rice.

Kostiantyn K.

Yelp
Nice cosy place with really taste food. A lot of vegan options, great choose!

C.R. T.

Yelp
My wife and I went there twice and food was excellent both times. We had Hummus and chicken, falafels, lentils, good wine and good coffee.

Le'Von W.

Yelp
One of few places in town that have a kitchen that's open-late. Food is tasty, Mediterranean inspired which I enjoy. One of my new favourite neighbourhood spots.

Ann L.

Yelp
Best chips in town. Love the hummus, falafel wraps, soups and more. Friendly staff, quick turnaround time for takeaway. Good place to chill or work- highly recommend.

Monica L.

Yelp
Alternative food for a good price! Hummus, falafel and veggie food +++ I had the falafel with hummus and for less than 150kr I was totally full. Hubby tried lamb sausages that were great. If outside you sit on the pavement and can watch people passing by. Inside is quite nice too- retro furniture and a laid back atmosphere.

Marie U.

Yelp
More tasty and delicious falafels than your average Oslo falafel. They have lots if different tasty and filling vegetarian meals, and a chill atmosphere.

Konstantin T.

Yelp
If you come to a place like this just for vegetarian food I feel sorry for you. You are missing out. If you are on a keto diet you should avoid the sauces they have. Other than that these people know their job, they are clean and respectful to guests, unlike many other places of the same type of cuisine. That's their secret

Scott H.

Yelp
The Kasbah has excellent food. The vibe is welcoming and cool, not pretentious.

Sarah F.

Yelp
Nice place to chill out, have a drink, chat up, play board games, share a felafel plate that comes with the hummus specialty

Kelsi L.

Yelp
Hummus. Yummm. Falafel. Yummmm. Tzatziki. Yummm. All on one plate? Best day ever. Although it was tiny I was still over the moon to be enjoying this meal. Simple, fresh and delicious. Its all you need on a Tuesday for lunch. The place is easy to find, cozy place with couches, and large windows. I was secretly hoping for a miracle where they would have gluten free pita bread but they didn't. Which is fine, I was still happy to see they had the little GF on the menu to help me out with what was gluten free. Ill come here again but maybe try the dinner or larger portions to see if they are just as great as the sampler plate I had.

Greg R.

Yelp
The Kasbah has a warm and cozy vibe that grabs you as soon as you walk through the door. There are couches if you want to kick-back and have a beer and some hummus, but there are also proper tables if sitting and having a meal is more your style. If you can't make up your mind or can't see yourself having just hummus for dinner, the meze menu is a fun way to try a variety of dishes. Although it is billed as "vegetarian" there are meat dishes on the menu and the merquez (spicy lamb sausage) looked particularly interesting. Our quick bite to eat easily turned into a relaxing couple of hours, and we were in no rush to leave.

Taylor G.

Yelp
This was probably the best meal I had in Oslo. We had the feta cheese with sundried tomatoes, so freaking good. We also got the falafel with tahini, very good and fresh. Pita was great too and ordered Tabbouleh. Every single thing was so flavorful. It was also a TON of food. We were very full. Bonus points for the place being cool inside--lots of character. Seemed like a fun place to hang out.

Miguel R.

Yelp
You can feel the peacefulness of this place as soon as you step inside (don't miss the writing on the steps). It felt like a Cafe where I could spend hours with friends and time would just fly-by, just as if I was on someone's living room. Their board of notes is also quite cool!

Yelp
Yummy! Eat here. There were no tables available inside when we arrived and the only person working front of house (did his best to service everyone) accommodated us by setting up a table outside instead. The falafel pita was tasty and filling. Additionally, the plates offer a variety of flavors to suit every pallet. Good service, good food in an eclectic neighborhood.

Jack H.

Yelp
Vegetarians have some challenges in Oslo, but the Meze plate at Kasbah had the best Falafel I have ever eaten. The hummus was great and the side salads, including one with beets was wonderful At $60 for the two of us it was the bargain restaurant of Oslo for these two vegatarians. Only the store bought pita was a let down.

Kyle W.

Yelp
The Kasbah was a great place to grab a bite to eat on a Sunday evening. I ordered the Hummus w/merquez (spicy lamb sausage) and it was delicious. The atmosphere is very relaxing, warm and inviting. I definitely recommend this cafe to anyone looking for a great, reasonably priced snack or meal.
