36 Best Hotels in Dubai

"The rooms here feel like little jewel boxes, decorated in relaxing hues of blue and seaform and trimmed with crisp white. King Club rooms have expansive floor-to-ceiling windows with chaise longues, though all rooms have a sitting area, mini bar, electric kettle, and a safe (some have vases of fresh bamboo, too)." - Melinda Healy, Laura Ratliff

Habtoor Grand Resort, Autograph Collection

"How did it strike you on arrival? This tranquil Arabian-style resort is set on a quiet stretch of Jumeirah Beach, adjacent to the Dubai Marina. The good stuff: Tell us about your room. The rooms feel like little jewel boxes, decorated in relaxing hues of blue and seaform and trimmed with crisp white. In some rooms, the television is placed awkwardly in relation to the bed, due to the built-in desk at its foot. King Club rooms have expansive floor-to-ceiling windows with chaise longues. We’re craving some deep, restorative sleep. They got us?Bedding isn’t as soft as one would expect from an Autograph Collection property. If you have allergies, request a feather-free bed. How about the little things, like mini bar, or shower goodies. Any of that find its way into your suitcase? All rooms have a safe, a minibar, an electric kettle, and a sitting area. In some rooms, you'll find vases of fresh bamboo. Please tell us the bathroom won’t let us down.Bathrooms are bright and adorned with blue tiled mosaics. Toiletries are by Elemis. Maybe the most important topic of all: Wi-Fi. What’s the word?Wifi is free and extends to the beach. Staff: If you could award one a trophy, who gets it, and why?Service throughout is impeccable, but Candice, who works in the pool area, goes above and beyond for guests. Anything stand out about other services and features? Whether it’s childcare, gyms, spas, even parking—whatever stuck with you. There are more than 15 on-site restaurants, so there's something for everyone here. The pool is surrounded by lush greenery and has a view of glass-and-metal skyscrapers; there's also a kids pool equipped with water slides. What was most memorable—or heartbreaking—about your stay? There are lots of kids here, but if you're looking for peace and quiet, head to the Elixir Spa. Bottom line: worth it, and why?Modern rooms, a huge pool, and a fantastic location." - Laura Ratliff

I had a wonderful stay at the hotel — it’s truly one of the cleanest hotels I’ve ever visited, with exceptional service throughout. A special mention goes to Ramon at the reception desk, who was incredibly professional, welcoming, and helpful. He truly made the check-in experience smooth and pleasant. While everything else was up to five-star standards, I would suggest improving the variety of the food selection to better reflect the luxury level of the hotel. Overall, a fantastic experience and I look forward to returning and i advice anybody would like to go to a great hotel, to go to the habtoor hotel if they want to have a great time. Thank you all and see you soon,

As a loyal Marriott Bonvoy Gold member, I frequently choose Marriott hotels for both business and leisure. Unfortunately, this particular property was a complete disappointment. 1. Poor Room Assignment: Upon check-in, no one at the reception asked about my room preferences — something that is usually standard in Marriott hotels. I was assigned a room right next to the pool, where loud music played until late in the evening. It was impossible to rest properly. 2. Bathroom Setup: There was no soap provided near the bathtub. Instead, the only available shower gel was located in the accessible shower area approximately 1.5 meters away. So, if you choose to take a bath, you’re expected to get out, walk wet across the floor, and reach for the gel — hardly a practical or safe setup. 3. Missing Essentials: The room had no cups or mugs, which made it impossible to enjoy a simple coffee or tea in the room. 4. Takeaway Breakfast — Disorganized: Due to my early flight, I was offered a takeaway breakfast. I clearly asked for a coffee and a ham and cheese sandwich. In the morning, I received a bag — which I only opened at the airport — and while it included an apple, yogurt, and croissant, the sandwich was missing. Why ask for preferences if you’re not going to fulfill them? ⸻ Overall, this stay did not meet the usual Marriott standards I’ve come to expect. It lacked attention to detail, care for the guest’s comfort, and basic communication. I hope this feedback helps improve service for future guests — especially those who choose Marriott because they trust the brand.

Very nice hotel, good for families. Kids have pool with small slides. One of the bars is even located in the water :) Food is good. Coffee could be better, however. Rooms clean and spacious. We had a small issue as we booked a room for 3+2 and in the room we only found 3 beds. Staff however tried to help and organized extra bed.

Another fantastic holiday at this amazing hotel, we once again booked into the Clubroom and the team, Matti, Ahmed & Melanie were just fantastic looking after me and my family. On this occasion they moved the breakfast down to the main buffet restaurant, this is fully understandable due to it being off season. The Clubroom guests are seated within a VIP section if the main restaurant and looked after with the Clubroom team ( mentioned above ) Guest are still invited for afternoon tea from 3-5pm and happy hour drinks from 6-8pm in the Clubroom. The hotel main pool area has some construction in the gardens at the side of the pool, however, Dubai has construction works going on 365 days of the year. There are some noises that can be heard, however nothing to be concerned about. The rooms are well serviced with the maids, they cannot do enough to ensure your rooms are clean, tidy and well stocked with towels and water. We have also met Kaleem ( porter ) on several occasions whilst visiting this hotel, his attention to detail ( remembering me and my family’s name from previous visits ) his politeness welcoming me and my family back are what makes this team the best in Dubai. The guest relations team made our visit extra special as this was to celebrate specials birthdays writhing our family, the rooms were decorated with birthday cards in each room, this was a fantastic gesture and great surprise to my family, thanks to Raneem and Maya who looked after us. We will look forward to returning later in the year.

Avoid staying in this resort. 1. Can’t walk to JBR specifically with kids. 2. I have attached a photo which will state the case. 3. Restaurant is smells bad to the point that your clothes will get the smell, food is limited and taste bad. Always fully packed. 4. Hotel is too old and falling apart, broken sink, broken water spray and old coffee machine.

From my very first email to the hotel before our trip, we received excellent customer service. I wanted to organise a surprise wedding vow renewal for my husband while at the hotel, and Raneem from guest relations was very kind and helpful in starting the planning for this. She was then on holiday and passed this on to Maya, who from start to finish was extremely professional, friendly and so keen to make everything perfect for us. We had a wonderful celebration thanks to her and I’m so grateful; a truly lovely lady who goes above and beyond. My husband‘s birthday was also noted with a decorated bed and a cake in our room, which was a lovely surprise. ||The room was kept immaculate every day, with the housekeeping team were so polite and discreet. The restaurants were all very good. The breakfasts had variety daily, and I didn’t have the same thing at all for the whole 10 days. We were half board so varied between having lunch or dinner at the hotel. Lunches were usually light snacks at The Underground as in the heat we didn’t want to eat very much, but the pool bar menu was also very good. For dinner the South African restaurant is outstanding and has won awards. Thomas served us on a couple of occasions and he is an absolutely lovely, happy and welcoming chap. We look forward to seeing him. The Italian restaurant Lucianos isn’t as fancy inside as the South African one, but the food was very good and the portions plentiful. In fact, all of the hotel eateries gave huge portions and my 16 year old son didn’t manage to have a three course meal on many occasions. I think this is another reason why we didn’t need to buy lunch very often, which is a good thing! The hotel buffet had a different type of food every lunch and evening which was great. We particularly enjoyed the Mediterranean evening, but also had the Mexican and another evening too. Again, fantastic food, plenty of it and a lot of variety. It was also good to receive a soft drink each with our half board option with our meals.||We loved the two swimming pools. Being 16, our son could join us at the rooftop pool which we found to be a calm, relaxing place. There was music but it wasn’t very loud and that was how we liked it. It was busier at the weekend and the music a bit louder, I assume to go with the vibe and the younger clientele who were using it. We were out quite a bit over the weekend anyway, but it’s nice to have a bit of variety for people who like different atmospheres at the pool, so it didn’t bother us. We were out quite a bit over the weekend anyway, but it’s nice to have a bit of variety for people who like different types of vibe at the pool. The cocktails at the pool were fantastic and the staff and lifeguards were very attentive and friendly. I was even brought my first cocktail while lounging in the water! The family pool is also fantastic, and we liked the swim up bar. The pool wasn’t too busy (I don’t think UK schools had broken up yet when we were there), but I can’t imagine it getting extremely busy as they were plenty of loungers and it’s a nice size pool. The staff at the pool were very kind in handing out towels, and if you forget to bring your sun lotion to the pool and need a top up, there is sun lotion and aloe vera cooling gel available at the towels which we thought was a nice touch. ||We made use of the buggy service to go to the beach a couple of times, where we thoroughly enjoyed jet skiing. It seemed very well run and unlike other countries we’ve been to, a person from the company came out on a jet ski into the water with us to ensure our safety,|and make sure we went in the correct areas only. I thought this was excellent. Being July the water was a bit too warm to swim, but we did enjoy a paddle to experience 32°C water! On our last day there was a lifeguard who was extremely friendly and chatty, and he offered to take photos for me and my family. Unfortunately, I didn’t catch his name but he did say that he is Egyptian. He was very attentive to those in the water and it made for a last nice nice last evening there.||While I was away, I fell from a curb at the monorail and badly damaged my ankle, which made it extremely hard to walk. This was noticed by Kaleem at the concierge desk when I got back to the hotel after it happened, and he was most concerned. He brought over a first aid kit and then had ice sent up to our room to help me. Every day when I came down and he was there, he asked how I was and made sure I had ice when needed. This was really appreciated and he’s an asset to the hotel. Mohsin the doorman is also an asset. A true gentleman who was also very kind regarding my injured foot and he helped ensure we could use the buggy where possible and helped get us taxis. ||I wish I’d caught more people‘s names as it wasn’t just these two gentlemen, Raneem and Maya who were assets. There is a fantastic staff at the hotel. We would love to come back again but this was a special holiday for us, not one that we can usually justify cost wise. We have however recommended the hotel to friends already, and if we do come back to Dubai in the future, we will definitely use this hotel again. It’s in an excellent location not too far from all the places we wanted to see, and I’m much prefer that location to seeing some of the hotels which were further into the city and not near the beach.||To sum up, I can’t think of any negatives at all about the hotel and my husband, son and I would recommend a stay here to everyone.

Ignore all of the negative reviews - they are full of lies. We had the most perfect experience at this hotel and didn’t want to leave! The staff are unbelievably kind and helpful, catering to everything we asked and even fixed a small water issue with our room at midnight! You barely notice the construction going on (and it’s Dubai, there is construction everywhere, get over it!). The food is absolutely lovely and we could order whatever we wanted as part of our half board. The breakfast provides multiple different options to suit all guests. The facilities are fantastic! Would stay here again in a heartbeat and miss it already!
