Hacienda Encantada Resort & Residences

"Cabo with an edge, literally. For anyone seeking a more rugged experience, Hacienda Encantada sits on the cliffs of Playa Medona, slightly north of quintessential Cabo. What may be lost in rockier, less swimming-friendly beaches is made up for in splendorous isolation and beauty. Rooms are spectacularly large, with warm, rich, Mexican-inflected decoration—think dark wood headboards, wildly tropical duvets, vibrant oil paintings, and textiles brought in from Guadalajara."

Overall this is a really nice resort. The staff is AMAZING, top tier. The on property restaurants are nice and the pools are all very well maintained and beautiful. Also such beautiful views from the room. The only downside was our room felt outdated and old. I know what old world charm is and actually love it, but this room felt old. There were also lots of flying bugs in the bathroom. Every night we killed 4-5. Outside of that and the VERY NICE on property general store, we had a great time. Would definitely come back and maybe stay in a better room.

We had an amazing experience at Hacienda Resort! From the moment we arrived, every single staff member went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Truly some of the friendliest and most helpful people I’ve encountered while traveling. The food was incredible, honestly the best I’ve ever had at a resort. Every meal felt thoughtfully prepared, especially at the restaurants that required reservations. Those were not only beautiful but also served high-quality, delicious dishes. There were tons of amenities to enjoy, and the view from our room (which we paid a bit extra for) was absolutely stunning — 100% worth it. My daughter especially loved the kids area, which was a huge plus for us as a family. The only thing to note is that the beach on-site isn’t swimmable. It still offers a gorgeous view, so it didn’t bother us at all, but it’s good to know in advance. Highly recommend Hacienda for anyone looking for a relaxing, family-friendly, and luxurious resort experience!

This is my second time at this resort and it was amazing. The resort itself is very clean with beautiful views. All of the staff are very friendly and welcoming. The bar service sometimes takes a while, but sometimes theres only a couple servers and bartenders serving dozens of people. The entertainment was also very fun, Ariel, Adrian, and Monse made the entertainment and games a blast. We had a bad encounter with another guest, and the security manager went above and beyond to make sure we felt safe. I wanted to highlight a few more of the staff, Ingrid, Margarita, both Juans, Felipe, Fernando, Erich, Alex, Samuel, Enrique, and more that I forgot the names of lol. They truly made this experience even more wonderful. I will definitely be returning to this resort!

Long waits and not so all inclusive. 4 star property with 1 star service. Guest Experience/Service team and Pool F&B team lacks tremendously on Forbes standards, or any standards for that matter. Longest check-in and check out times I’ve ever seen, expect at minimum 20-30min for each family(other return guests said it’s been like this for years). Upon check out, I asked other staff(twice), that was just talking in a gaggle, if there was any way to check out faster, get more help at the desk or if I could just leave and have receipt sent to me, not possible. The second time I asked they grabbed someone from the back, no apology no acknowledgement of the extended waiting. Instead they all went right back to their conversations, disregarding all of the guests waiting in line, not welcoming whatsoever. All the wait just to get a tiny little ticket that anyone of the staff outside talking could have done, as they had computers in front of them to pull up the same information the desk pulled up. At the pool, with our “all inclusive package” we were told we are not allowed to get pool towels unless we paid an extra $25. The pool servers ignored us for hours, even when I tried talking to them they just kept walking past, not once acknowledging or greeting us. Asked the bar to order they said we have to order at our chair, the ones we were ignored at. I tried to get a ride back from the Marina property from the shuttle because I was told that was an option, staff on that property shooed us away even after trying to show we were guests at the other property. Also very suspicious that they told us to lock up valuables at the desk 3 times at check-in and that housekeeping comes every other day, but came to our room multiple times the first day. Beautiful property and rooms, but the staff tainted the overall experience.

Came to Hacienda Encantada for our anniversary. My parents are owners and we came as their guests. I understand the sales pitch to upgrade or the encouragement to purchase our own timeshare but I wasn’t really a fan of giving up 3 hours of the supposedly 90-minute pitch. I do give them credit for trying as hard as they did. Very nice salesmen despite walking away without a purchase. Our week was spent by the pool during the day and in town in the evenings. We were attended by Omar poolside. Very charismatic server and highly recommend him. We can’t wait to come back next year! Hacienda Encantada is a beautiful resort!

Google
Sooo disappointed. :( I had my wedding at Hacienda Encantada in 2019. Myself and all my guests had an amazing time. So much so that half my wedding party came back with us to vacation together! I brought 8 families with me this time to come back and we were all so excited. However, the experience we had this time was completely different than in 2019. We waited at least 45 min to an hour every time we sat down to order food, just to get our first plates. And in some cases a drink. By the time we got a check (because you have to sign for every meal with all inclusive) it was at least 2 hours later. At one point we decided to pay for room service just to avoid going down and sitting out in the heat for 2 hours just for a quick bite after an excursion. Staff was rude and often unhelpful with some exceptions. (Margarita at the pool was amazing and Manny at concierge was awesome too) Our tub was gross, hairs in it. I didn’t want to bathe my 1 year old in there - he took showers for the week) The pools were disguising, often lots of things floating around you as you swam. My sisters reserved a room with two beds and got one bed, they said oh well that’s all we have. They decided they’d work it out and when they got to the room the AC was broken, the motor ended up needing to be replaced. The room was completely soaked in condensation and the bed and couch had mold. They weren’t able to get into a new room until 6pm the following day and during check out they offered them $20 for the inconvenience. Then promised to do better but we had to leave before it was resolved, we’ll see if they do anything but I’m not optimistic. My mother also lost half a day in the lobby at check in because they only had a room with one bed, she was traveling with her friend. It took hours to find them an appropriate room. Her friend stayed here two years ago and also loved it which is why she came back with us and was also shocked at the experience this time. They were convinced to upgrade to the premium all inclusive package and in the end couldn’t get room service (a perk of premium) past 9pm, even though it’s advertised 24 hours. They offered her a croissant or baguette because “the kitchen is closed”. I could list all the things that each family I invited experienced but this would be a long post. The views are beautiful here and the property itself is still nice. My suggestion is to try your luck somewhere else. Reviews are hit or miss but for the money spent I wouldn’t risk another vacation here. Again, so disappointing.

I had the BEST time at the cocktail lesson at Hacienda Encantada Resort! The entire experience was fun, engaging, and full of laughs. The hosts (Arica, Adrian, and Moase) were not only knowledgeable but absolutely hilarious, making the class feel more like a party than a lesson. We sampled several incredible drinks, and my personal favorite was the Strawberry Love—absolutely delicious! If you’re visiting, don’t miss this experience—it’s one of the many highlight of the trip! Hacienda Encantada is an amazing resort with an incredible staff and surprises. (Green Putt, Chapel with Sunday Service, cooking lessons, cocktail lessons, pickle ball, entertainment shows, and more)

Google
What a rip off place! Either take the $120 a day per person all inclusive or pay exuberant prices for anything to eat or drink there. Typical breakfast is around $135 for two people at a buffet. Dinners are all $300 for food and drinks. Service at the pool bar was great otherwise, dont expect any real service.

Yelp
We (married in our 40s) stayed five nights in summer 2024 on an all-inclusive plan. The staff were very helpful and always willing to assist in any way. Not all guests are on an all-inclusive plan, so understand the rules and offerings for all-inclusive in order to avoid extra fees. My wife and I navigated this without a problem. You can, too, just understand the agreement at the time of purchase or check in. There are time share presentation opportunities on site. We signed up for one in advance and saved some money. Check in to that before booking. The facilities are gorgeous and the surrounding views are exceptional. They offer complimentary shuttles every two hours to and from a sister property on the Marina. You can also purchase excursions through them, but you can get them cheaper directly from the source.

Yelp
Our stay here was 50% great and 50% no bueno to be honest. I booked this hotel because I read in many reviews how kid friendly it was, but the majority of the restaurants we don't get to even try because they were adults only. What?? At night we were stuck with either a pizza place or a room service menu with like 5 things on it. The nicer restaurants wouldn't even let us order take out, and told us to order room service. They do have a market, but the market only sells bagged snacks, frozen foods, drinks and some eggs. No produce whatsoever so you couldn't even really use the kitchenette in your room if you wanted to actually cook something aside from scrambled eggs. The pizza restaurant was okay. Good pizza, but pasta was mediocre. Great views at the restaurant though! We ordered burgers from the all ages poolside restaurant and they were burnt. I brought them back and they remade them for us, even offering us a cocktail to make up for it. However, the burgers were then basically so rare we couldn't eat them. Breakfast buffet was super mediocre. They had beans and fajitas but no tortillas or salsa? This resort overall lacked the Mexican fare I was looking to enjoy while in Mexico. We didn't do the all inclusive package because we didn't plan on drinking too much with a toddler, but prices were super steep anyway. The best part of the resort was the adults only pool (that we didn't get to enjoy with a baby obviously) and the el patio restaurant which was the one up by the adults only pool. The taco restaurant was also good, but we tried to go two other times and once it was closed for a members event and the other night it was a taco buffet for $100 a person and we decided to pass. Pros: beautiful grounds, amazing views, nice amenities, helpful staff our room has a nice patio, quiet, free shuttle to sister resort, our kid did enjoy the water play area. Cons: food was not good, kids water play area had chipping paint, floor of our room was so dirty it made our feet black every time we got out of the shower, you are CONSTANTLY trying to be sold to. They called our room everyday in the afternoon when our baby was taking a nap to try and offer us a "deal" of some kind to either come back or try another property. Every time we were in the lobby someone came up to us and tried to offer some sort of tour of the timeshare properties in exchange for spa credit etc. It was annoying. I would potentially come back and do the all inclusive for a girls trip or with a larger group if I were planning to do a lot of drinking which I think is what makes the package worth it. I wouldn't come back with my kid again.

Yelp
FRAUD ALERT! BE CAUTIOUS! If you get offered for a membership with this resort, the sale persons will cheat on you by hiding the fact and important information of the membership. It happened to me on February 18, 2024. They took me half of the day on tour and sat down many hours to hear them lied about dreaming estate that we would have with Hacienda Encantada Resort despite my exhausted and hungry 2 year-old son. Very aggressive. They lied to me this is not timeshare and I will have a deed for a condo as a membership. They wanted me to deposit $5,335 USD to own a condo with maintenance fee $965 USD a year and will increase every year. They intentionally hid the fact that I had 5 days to cancel membership with a full refund. (The sale persons are Leonel Garrido and Fausto Solano). And on my reciept never stated that I have 5 days to cancel, just stated it's non-refundable. I found out 3 weeks later in an email of their member service associate- named Juliette Yamal. It was when I requested to cancel membership. You guys make sure they have to explain about cancellation policy. They stapled the session of 5 days to cancel membership on top of the contract where you barely see with a font size 5. They request me to pay $13,900 USD besides $500 USD fee to cancel membership. This policy was never on the agreement. They are very unprofessional. I had to sent so many emails to many email addresses until I finally got some one to deal with it. They passed me to different people to talk about cancellation. On March 24, 2024, a staff Sanda passed me to Miguel who gave me paper to sign, he denied to talk to me on the phone. She kept saying that he was busy at the moment. Then she passed me to Silvio- sale manager. This guy denied to talk to me until I had to yell at Sanda to pass me to him. He got on the phone and denied to answer me what his name is despite I asked him many times and rudely hung up on me. Hacienda Encantada Resort sale staffs and service staffs are CHEATERS. PLEASE BE AWARE OF THOSE NAMES WHEN YOU ARE TRAPED BY THEM.

Yelp
I'm surprised at the mixed reviews. We had a great four days here with the all inclusive package and would definitely return if we go back to Cabo. Staff was so helpful and patient, we especially enjoyed the tequila tasting, and the view from Las Marias for breakfast. We stayed in a two bedroom suite in order to have the small pool on the balcony of the room, which we went in every morning and evening. The AI plan is definitely worth the price since we were on site for most of our meals. As far as the timeshare push, we simply said no to the presentation and didn't have to worry about it again.

Yelp
Super views, great staff, great on site restaurants! Coming back next year. Love it....

Yelp
I have never been so disappointed with a Resort. Service is so slow. No entertainment. Bored at all times. Workers had no clue of what was going on. All you want to do is sell Timeshares. All-inclusive should be just that. No need to sign stupid receipts. This is unacceptable at how you treat people. Who wants to come back to this place. I will not ever come back nor will I recommend this place to anyone. You guys need to really get things together. Such a waste of money and time. Disappointed Guest

Yelp
We stayed here for 3 nights 2 days. The resort grounds are beautiful. The rooms are out dated and the room had a cross and picture of Mary. It wasn't our up of tea. The staff were friendly enough. They do try to get you to do a timeshare presentation and are beyond disappointed when you don't want to do it. Prices for things was on the high side. Also as a negative: Lyft is not allowed on their grounds so if you want to leave you have to take an overpriced taxi. Honestly I would not stay here again. There are definitely nicer resorts in the same area.

Yelp
I have vacationed around the world literally, I must say this resort is absolutely TOP SHELF. I have never been to a resort and been treated like ROYALTY. Every restaurant, pool and other amenities have treated us with respect and kindness. I have attached a picture with my best friend and the COOLEST bartender in the WORLD. OMG this place is awesome

Bonni M.

Yelp
First, I want to say that we really enjoyed our stay. It is the first time staying here and I think we will return. Here are the pros, not in any special order: 1. the 1 bedroom had the best view I have ever had of the ocean; 2. beds are very firm, just the way I like it! 3. Juan at the adult pool (he catered to us like we were family visiting him and anticipated our every wish). The best service we had there. 4. Victor who I think works in maintenance. I did not thank him for helping me find my lost phone and accompanying me around until I found it. Who does that?! 5. Food at il forno, eden taco bar and el rico were the best there. 6. carts are there very fast if you need them. Here are the cons: 1. the check in process where they try to nickel and dime you to upgrade; 2. timeshare vultures who literally hover around when you get there and stay until you leave. We just avoided the lobby and that solved the issue. 3. food at the other restaurants not mentioned above was mediocre and menus are weird. THEY NEED A MANAGER OF FOOD SERVICE TO BRING IT UP A FEW NOTCHES. 4, We took the shuttle into town and expected to stay for lunch there since the hotel website showed the hours of some restaurants start at 11 for lunch. We wanted to catch the 12:30 shuttle back but the restaurants did not actually open until after 12 so we could not stay and eat there. Management needs to update the accurate information for guests so they can place properly.

Yelp
WORSE PLACE EVER. Avoid this "resort" at all costs. I am here currently and between the sub par service and food, the hospitality is TERRIBLE Everything shuts down at or before 10pm, and the "room service" bar you can order consists of a club sandwich, chicken fingers, or a salad. TERRIBLE
google avatar

Yelp
I wouldn't advise Mexican citizens to stay here. The hotel clearly prioritizes American guests, and if I could, I would give it zero stars. Despite recommendations from friends, our experience was disappointing. The maintenance crew even entered our room without knocking while we were undressed, which was extremely uncomfortable. Overall, I cannot recommend this hotel at all. Martin the hotel manager is the worst manager that I've ever had to deal with. Don't bother saying here it's not worth it!! The best that he could do for us after TWO maintenance men walked in on us was a late check out!! I

Yelp
We love coming to this resort. The staff are so friendly and welcoming. The views here are just something you can't beat. You can see whales looking out into the ocean while laying at the pool. The pool staff (David and both Juans) were amazing the whole week we were there. The rooms are nice. The food is what you expect. They have fun activities you can join during the day. We played pickle ball a few times and it was fun! Definitely recommend staying here!

Yelp
Food is decent for Mexico, we had some really great meals at Baroma and Mestizos. Breakfast was good, pool food was good. The All Inclusive is a must . Hotel grounds are beautiful. Staff was great.

Tony L.

Yelp
Marcos Jared Paul, or whatever his name was the best part of our stay, he deserves a raise! Everything closes before 9 so only book this resort if you are over 50. Room service was not All inclusive. The service was terrible! Beautiful resort though. Just not worth the money

Yelp
This resort is fantastic !!! It offers state of the art rooms with terraces that have either pools or hot tubs. there's also a number of on-site restaurants with incredible views and multiple pools to lounge at. We stayed for a week and never got bored of exploring the grounds. Further, it sits high on top of a cliff overlooking the ocean. since we came in March, we saw whales splashing in and out of the water every single morning :) Our concierge Marta was incredible accommodating. She helped us set up everything from house keeping, to reservations to off-site tours. She offered recommendations that made our time in Cabo really special. The rest of the staff was so friendly and accommodating. Roberto Perez at the patio pool, Angel at the beach pool, Misa Mauro and Karla Samuel at Restaurant Meztizo Del Mar made us all feel like family. We will definitely be returning to Hacienda Encantada and Vista Encantada which are connected, right across a pathway from each other when we return to Cabo!

Yelp
Where to even start.... - We arrived right before a hurricane and every single restaurant, market, and food option was closed (which I totally understand). What I don't understand is how our room fridge was not stocked with a single water bottle or snack in preparation for the hurricane. I had to beg for water for our 4 years old and was not given any for nearly an entire day. - The ceiling on top of us was leaking and our room flooded. Despite that they refused to give us another room because the hotel was supposedly full (it was not, the hotel was a ghost town due to the hurricane). - Two of our friends are in wheelchairs and stayed confined to the room for a couple of days due to the hazards of being out in the debris and slippery ground. When they finally opened a school cafeteria-level buffet after the storm had passed, the staff refused to let us bring them a warm meal to their room and insisted that they had to come get it themselves! Despite us showing them pictures of our friends in their wheelchairs and even having them call the staff. Beyond disrespectful. They went as far as removing the paper plates from the buffet and guarding the exit doors so no one could walk out with food! Mind you we already didn't get to eat at any of the "all-inclusive" resort restaurants during our entire 4 day stay due to everything being shut down. - Staff was constantly asking for tips under the table "if you treat me well I'll treat you well" (this was actually said to us) - We asked if they could turn on the hot tub and a staff member said they would only turn it on if we paid him $30 cash! - We upgraded to an ocean view room which came with a tarp bolted on to our balcony door, even after the hurricane passed so we never actually got to enjoy the ocean view we paid for. - Our room was only cleaned once over the course of 4 days. - The only positive thing I have to say is for their spa. This was the only place where the staff was hospitable and friendly and provided great service. We've vacationed in multiple all-inclusive resorts and this was by far the worst experience we've ever had. Save yourself thousands of dollars and book somewhere else!

Yelp
This is a beautiful property with 4 fabulous pools and many delicious restaurants. When you arrive you are immediately greeted and given either a margarita or bottle of water. The lobby is a open air beauty with high ceilings, sculptures, views of the ocean, a bar and lots of guests checking in and out. It's a beautiful property with lots of fun activities. If you stay here you can enjoy your vacation and never leave this fabulous property!

Yelp
I want to start this out by saying that I own a vacation rental at a different company. I have been through 15 different presentations in my life. And they're always more than 90 minutes and I usually get out within 2 hours or so. I understand the process. I understand the process and I understand that there are closures but this company by far has been the absolute worst closers with the most disrespectful sells representatives that I have ever encountered. I would never recommend anyone to ever come here for a sale's present. Please beware of the unprofessional and disrespectful representatives, but I would like to call out that are main representative was great, his name was Leonel. who started the tour was great but when we said no, we had someone physically walk away from us and storm out. It's horrible don't go.

Yelp
I've been an owner here for 10 years. And every year at least once, we come for a week. Every year has been great. Even last year on the rebound from COVID. The property had always been well maintained , the food was always better than it is now, the staff had always been attentive. Poolside by the ocean is beautiful and relaxing and pool side food and drinks plentiful. It's an easy relaxing way to spend time. I have chosen and opted out of inclusive meal plan, because it always seems "string attached". It's a hard sale, but this year I declined. This year after being asked my preference of room, and pretty much assured "it was noted", it wasn't. I'm pretty sure I got the shittiest suite on the property. Of course it's the year I invited friends to be my guest! And their attitude about it was horrible. Basically "oh well". The quality of ground upkeep, food quality, and over all attitude has definitely declined. Sad to see, but I guess it's to be expected. This is not a party hotel, which I love. The views are fantastic, but not beach access. Renting a car in Mexico is outrageously expensive, and if you want to visit and do things while here- from this resort- you need a car. Over all, I think it's still a good pick. It's reasonable in cost from what I can tell if you're paying. There will be no rave reviews on food, but you won't go hungry. Ask for doubles on your drink, and you might taste the alcohol. Bring a book or two, grab a lounge chair, and allow the sounds of the waves be your reason to stay here!

Yelp
The bad experience stems from our flight into Cabo on Thursday morning. We were looking for a taxi to our hotel. We were fine paying for a private taxi. But they continued to upsell us (that's our fault for not brushing them off right from the gate). They told us we could get a free breakfast and $20 massages if we check out their hotel. They said the hotel was about 20 minutes from ours and we said ok that's fine. They even added that they'd pay for our return fair from our hotel to the airport when we fly back home. And to top it off, when we met them at the hotel, they'd give us a bottle of tequila. All sounded good, the catch was the hotel was ~20 minutes from ours. We scheduled it for Saturday morning since we had something to do the next day. We also had a wedding in the afternoon, we figured breakfast and 60 minute massage should be done before 12p if we come at 8am. What threw me off was them saying not to talk to our hotel staff about our breakfast/massages at Hacienda, they said the staff would just "bad mouth" them... We take a cab from our hotel to Hacienda. We get there and we are greeted by the hotel manager, they pay for the cab fair, ok seems legit. He escorts us into a waiting room then comes back to explain we have to do the 1 hour "presentation" before breakfast/massages at their OTHER LOCATION THAT IS CLOSE TO OUR HOTEL. After he explained, it was basically a presentation for time shares at their property. At no point was a presentation ever mentioned. The hotel manager continued to say his sales guy from the airport would call us to clear things up. His tone completely changed and he had the nerve to say he mentioned the presentation and that's why he made sure we'd have time for it. The hotel manager continued to say his sales guy would meet us at the airport to return our money. SIKE. We'd never see that money again. The manager then paid for our cab fair back to our hotel. So to summarize... we were not told about a timeshare presentation that we had to do in order to get massages, breakfast, and transpiration back to the airport when we flew back home. The salesperson was a jerk after we said he never told us about the presentation and didn't want the breakfast/massages. They didn't pay for our transportation to the airport. We never got our money back. NEVER AGAIN.

Yelp
I'm usually hesitant to leave negative reviews, but I must share our unfortunate experience at Hacienda Encantada. From the moment we arrived, we were met with frustration after frustration. At this so-called "all-inclusive" resort, we were constantly required to sign receipts for every single drink we ordered, creating an endless hassle and truly hampering our relaxation. While we tried to enjoy our vacation, it felt more like a never-ending paperwork trail. The dinner experience was no better. There were stringent ordering rules, and to make matters worse, they were out of various food options every single night. We had hoped for some culinary diversity, but were sorely disappointed. It was definitely not the sumptuous feast we had anticipated. The cherry on top? Upon check-out, we were hit with a ridiculous $1,000 charge for a pen mark on a low-quality couch in our room which was already clearly damaged. They claimed they needed to fly in a specialist from Jalisco to reupholster the entire couch, which was beyond absurd. We couldn't believe our ears. Additionally, the room service prices were exorbitant, and the resort staff harassed us incessantly about purchasing timeshares. It felt like we were being bombarded with sales pitches instead of enjoying a peaceful getaway. And if all that wasn't enough, at this so-called "all-inclusive," we were actually charged for water in our room. It was truly unbelievable. In conclusion, our stay at Hacienda Encantada was anything but enchanting. I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere for your vacation accommodations. With all the incredible options out there, you deserve better than the nightmare that awaits you at this place. Stay away!

Yelp
My girlfriend and I stayed here for 10 days. I gave it a 3, but she'd give it a 2. The Good: To get around, you either walk or take a golf cart that can be seen zipping around. The young people walked but we're getting on in years so we took the golf carts. The drivers were always cheerful and pleasant. The grounds themselves are very well-maintained. Our room was beautiful and spacious and had a balcony with an excellent view of the Pacific and the Arch. Others complained about the food - we found it to be tasty, plentiful and the menu was periodically changed. The Bad: Internet/WiFi service. Yes, I know you're supposed to get away from it all, but my girlfriend lives with her phone in her hand. She's in constant contact with her kids, her parents, and her friends. Service would drop out and it would be hard to re-establish contact, which made her livid when she was out of touch. Just try spending 10 days with a perpetually angry woman. The room, while spacious, was not problem-free. There is dark floor tile and if you walk barefoot, the bottoms of your feet/socks become blackened. Are the floors not mopped? Or are the tiles slowly disintegrating? We took to wearing flip-flops indoors. The timeshare pitch. When we first arrived, we were told about a "tour" which turned out to be a high pressure timeshare sales pitch. Some info was unverifiable, such as a 10% annual return on investment, while other info just seemed wrong: "You can come here on vacation and write it all off on your taxes." I kept saying "No" but they'd just pass me along to a different person. I probably should have been rude and just walked away. Better yet, just say "No" when you first arrive and not even deal with it. Phone service. Just as the drivers/bellmen were plentiful and friendly, it was the opposite with the phones. You'd call the front desk or concierge and no one would answer. Even though reservations were recommended, we ended up just going to the various restaurants and finding they had seating anyway. All-inclusive. We sprung for the $150/day (per person) premium package and, looking back, should not have. We didn't drink a lot of alcohol and we only ate twice a day: we'd wake up late and have brunch and then dinner. Sometimes we went into town and had dinner there. Even though resort meal prices are high, we should have just paid for our individual meals. It would have been cheaper in the long run. We likely would not stay again. My girlfriend's pet peeve was the inconsistent internet/WiFi service, which alone is a deal killer. It probably would have been better (and cheaper) to have rented a house and then prepared our own meals. You pay a premium to stay at a resort but, in this case, the extra cost didn't seem to reflect in a greater value.

Yelp
We just returned home from Hacienda and I have a few thoughts on the experience. I'll start with the good: the grounds are beautiful. It's also situated in a beautiful part of the world. This is why I'm writing a two-star review instead of resorting to just trashing the place. Now on the the faint praise. There's food there. And Alcohol. And plenty of both. These consumables are served in various restaurants around the resort. You can eat away (or drink) and you will likely survive. It's cruise-ship buffet quality and probably all comes from a central kitchen and then sent around to the various themed restaurants. If you're visiting with an "all-inclusive" pass, then you're likely not getting completely fleeced. If, like me, you made the horrible mistake of not knowing all-inclusive was a thing here ... well, enjoy spending an obscene amount of money on food that Denny's probably found to be a little too bland, and the folks at Alpo found a little too spicy. Okay ... so good view, non-poisonous food. Why two stars? Let's start with the service. If you fly into Cabo, you begin the journey by being assaulted by various time share scammers at the airport. When you arrive at Hacienda, the assault continues. You are greeting by ... a time share sales person. Yes, you're tired from flying to Mexico. You've had a long journey. So enjoy another pitch at a place you should feel safe from it. Once that's out of the way, you're free to relax with staff who will cater to your every need. Assuming you have zero needs. Seriously. Most of the people who work there are wholly unconcerned about the presence of guests. There's a ton of staff, and nobody appears to be doing anything, or is even aware that they exist within the same dimension which we all live. Poolside? Thirsty? Then enjoy the show as eleven uniformed people behind a bar look confused by all the strange bottles and glasses and ice that must do ... something, but heck if they know what. Manage to get the attention of the one guy who knows what's going on? Congratulations, in several hours you may just get some food or drink. Mission accomplished! Not so fast, you get to wait another hour for the bill. And then that bill will be wrong. Did I mention bills? There will be many. I'm surprised I didn't have to sign each time I flushed the toilet. Want to save money by not using the various ad-on services at the hotel. Not a chance. They won't let cars on the property if you're not in it. So want an Uber? Nope. You're getting the 100% late shuttle to the sister-resort downtown at $13.50. Will you get there? Eventually. Will you be late? Yes, you will. But they have a free breakfast and COVID test for travel (a must right now if you wish to get home). Is that free breakfast what they serve you? Absolutely not. You will get the non-free breakfast and be charged handsomely for it. They will not explain this too you until you're checking out and hit with another massive bill. And then charged $40 for the free COVID test too. You'll see this all once you wait 45 minutes to check out because the front desk is run as poorly as the restaurants. Lastly. The rooms. beautiful room. It was immaculate. Until we tried using the in-room hot tub. Do you like bathing in warm water that is probably former sewage? I don't. Some might. But congratulations, you're getting a special bath that's as black as Voldemort's balloon-knot. Check out the photo in the review. Fun! This place is very much like handsome or beautiful romantic partner who reels you in with a promise of beauty and love, then then just abuses you with a weird mixture of aloof control drama and low grade shady access to your finances. Next time, I know better.

Yelp
The staff is very nice and helpful. The room is clean and has turn down in evening as well. The bars were only available during the day. Even the lobby piano bar was closed - they said the bartender went to "get ice" so we left an hour later. The pool bar is also closed though they had outside wait-staff coming around. The hotel is dead around 6p but zero night life here. Milagro spa is always nice with friendly staff and excellent massage and spa facilities. This is our 2nd visit to this hotel. Most of the restaurants are outdoor /open so you may want to pick later times for dinner. Los riscos - fish seems a little risky. Barola Italian was pretty good but chicken parmigiana pretty dry. La Pergola bar/pool area - enjoyed guacamole and hot wings with fries; would stay away from shrimp ceviche. Overall a good reasonably priced option with a lot of meal choices. They do not allow you to use Uber to come or go.

Yelp
Wonderful week of luxury and relaxation...ALL our staff were amazing and made us feel like we were at our home away from home! Paul, our talented singing butler, took great care of us and treated us to a wonderful surprise for our anniversary! Loved seeing all our favorites at the door...Oscar, Trinidad and so many more!!! Cannot wait for our 2024 visit! Mike & Tara O.

Yelp
Do NOT trust them! They charged me twice for my hotel stay and are denying it. I have been calling for three hours to get them to fix it and the front desk is refusing to answer. They owe me $1,111.78$. I will continue to talk poorly about them until they fix this issue. We did all inclusive for the 4th year in a row. The food keeps getting worse. The all inclusive wine is disgusting. They are not allowed to provide you a bucket of beers while laying around the pool. Truly, I don't believe they have won a single award they say they've received.

Yelp
SCAMMERS! Don't waste your money or time. I've been a member of Royal Resorts for over 20 years and have never had issues like what has been experienced at this resort. I paid $20k thinking I was buying into being a member of Hacienda(not a timeshare they kept telling me)and was sold a travel package under false pretenses. Over Xmas 2023, I spoke with contract department and told them I'd like to sell the contract, as I was told that was an option when purchased, a long with many other lies. I was advised I needed to pay off the loan prior to selling. Upon returning home after vacation, I paid off the loan to begin the process. It took me two weeks to get a hold of someone to "help" me, which was to tell me I need to sell on my own and they won't help me sell. Food and goods are Extremely overpriced. If you don't want to do all inclusive, they penalize you by not allowing you to bring your own items to the pool area. I paid $18 for an aluminum water because prices are not listed anywhere. Don't waste your money here. Zero stars if I could.

Yelp
Very nice stay. We were originally supposed to stay in a hotel near the marina, however, they were overbooked. They accommodated us here and gave us the all inclusive package. They also offered us free trips to the marina frequently - every hour on the hour. I personally liked staying out here even though the marina was far closer to the nightlife. That's what taxis are for. They have a rooftop pool and bar area. Multiple eating establishments with pools near them. Great customer service here, and I would highly recommend getting the all inclusive package. Excursions can be booked at the hotel and they pick you up from the front. There's a Starbucks on the grounds as well as a huge convenience store in the middle of the different rooms . Fun fact- It was about $75 to and from the airport.

Yelp
Six of us went to this resort. We were excited... we booked an "all inclusive" package deal, when we got to the resort the "all inclusive" packages was NOT all inclusive. You cannot go to certain pools, or restaurants. The bar service is horrible, it takes them a very long time to get your drinks done. The staff is not attentive, Inforno restaurant has really bad service, the staff will stare at you to the point where you are uncomfortable eating your food. At El Mestizo we were told to leave because they had a long line of people and we never got drinks we had ordered. This resort is discriminatory too. We were discriminated our entire stay, people who were lighter skinned color were better served 100%. The views and resort is nice but the resort staff is not it. 0/10 don't recommend booking here.

Yelp
Very much enjoyed our week in late January at Hacienda Encantada! We had a courtyard view King Suite for 2 people and found the resort clean, comfortable and staff very gracious and helpful. The room was large, ample space for our things including a large bathroom with two sinks, walk in shower, soaking tub and separate toilet area. Amenities included lotion, soap, shampoo, conditioner, etc. There was also a galley style kitchen, which had a full sized refrigerator freezer, a two burner stove, top, plenty of cooking utensils, a coffee maker, toaster, blender, and many other things to make simple food prep in your room. The bedroom area had a king bed and a large armoire, making it easy to store all of the clothing we brought with us. We also had plenty of space to store our dive bag, and other items. There is a large couch, which is comfortable enough, and a four person table to eat indoors as you like. There is also a wonderful patio which overlooked the courtyard and it had a small bistro table and two extremely comfortable lounge chairs. While our room did not directly overlook the ocean, it did overlook a pleasant courtyard, and we could look to the far side to see the ocean and area towards Cabo San Lucas. The resort is large and grounds are beautiful with many plants and flowering shrubs to brighten the area. It is easy to walk everywhere within the resort, yet there are plentiful golf carts, and very happy people who will come to collect you and take you where you need to go on the property. We did not partake in the all-inclusive aspect of Hacienda Encantada. As such, I cannot say if food was good, but I can say that we enjoyed many wonderful smells coming from the restaurants on the property. There are plenty restaurants within the resort, I believe somewhere between 10 and 15. There is also a small market which sells your typical tourist items, such as T-shirts, and items of clothing, sunscreen, sunglasses, and a well-rounded selection of groceries so that you would not have to shop off property if you didn't want to. Staff is amazing and makes doing what you want or need to do in the area very easy. They were also extremely pleasant and always greeted us with a smile! We used their valet parking service generally at least twice per day going out to do things off the resort and then also to have dinner in the evenings. This was very easy and quick to use and again The Bellmen were extremely friendly and always willing to help. They also enjoyed hearing about the activities that we did off property each day. We also enjoyed the ocean front pool area several days and found the lounge chairs, umbrellas, and services at the pool to be wonderful. The pool water was quite warm, warmer than I've experienced at this time of year at other resorts in Mexico, and we enjoyed the views from the infinity pools . I would certainly consider staying at Hacienda in Encantada in the future. It is quite pleasant and conveniently located.

Yelp
Update: Watch out when you get your bill for your stay and review it carefully! I was overcharged approx $150 for 2 excursions by the concierge team, and I was told I could easily take care of it once I fully checked out and got home. That has not happened at all, and it has been an ongoing struggle to get a straight answer. I have been working with Cesar via email to get a refund for the difference between the discounted price I was entitled to and the regular price they charged me. The refund I'm requesting amounts to less than 8% of my total bill for the week, and I'm frustrated that I was asked to pay in full before we were able to resolve the overcharging. When you book excursions, be sure to verify the prices and get it in writing on your receipt! I won't be staying here again or recommending it to others until this overcharge issue is fully resolved. ----- Los Marias is an amazing restaurant! The buffet for brunch is hard to beat, and the service is friendly, fun, and very accommodating! Rodrigo Ramirez took great care of us, and he was very witty and helpful the entire time. Can't wait to come back here tomorrow!

Yelp
My boyfriend and I had an exceptional stay here a few months ago. I came back to Cabo last month with friends and stayed at the sister resort, Marina Fiesta, which wasn't nearly as nice of an experience, but still a lot of fun because of its location (reviewed separately). Clay and I ended up here at the beginning of summer after staying at the Riu Santa Fe (Cabo), and then deciding we didn't want our vacation to end, we changed our flights and researched resorts and booked ourselves at this all-inclusive in an ocean-view suite and we were blown away at the difference between the party resort we left and the luxury resort we found ourselves in here. Not only is the property huge and beautiful, shuttles will bring you to and from your room to any restaurant or pool, or anywhere else on the grounds you'd like. There are phones everywhere and they were fast to respond; at all hours. During the day a free shuttle takes you between the two resorts every hour. We primarily used Uber to get to and from downtown, but really found little reason to leave this resort since we'd already been downtown so much the week before. This was the perfect vacation from our vacation. Restaurants would have been very expensive if not for the all-inclusive, and the service and food was just unreal. We were very excited to try new ones each day, and this included the ones at the sister resort on the marina, like the lobster house and oyster bar and jack's steakhouse. All unreal, but my favorite was the poolside food where we spent most of our day: ceviche and fresh raw fish plates for me, burgers and other snacks for him, and then, of course, a ton of bottled and blended drinks for the both of us. Alcohol selection here was nicer than Riu and was included with the price. We took advantage of that and I can't believe how wonderful and fast the food and drinks and service all were! The cliffside pools had iguanas all around them, and you can walk down to the rocky beach below for more beautiful scenery and sand, but definitely no swimming. Our room was terrific! We didn't use the kitchen, but definitely used the giant hot tub every night. Bed was so incredibly comfortable, and the view was bright blue and aqua green ocean, as far as you could see. We couldn't have felt more spoiled. It was hard to leave; we definitely weren't ready to go home at the end of our stay here. So.... we decided to not go home, and extended our vacation a second time; this time changing our destination to Vegas, so that we could get just a little more heat and party time in before returning to reality. This resort was the most exceptional part of our time off though, and I'd go back and stay here again in a heartbeat.

Yelp
Omg!!!! Talk about a Luxury Resort!!! The Vista Encantana was everything u can want in a vacation resort. 1st of all I felt like I was in Greece in a hotel off of the caldera...the views of the Pacific is phenomenal.....omg, they have 7 restaurants onsite...there so many pools and bars ...but the rooftop infinite pool was the one fa me... This resort has so much to site see, even a lil sanctuary an the top of a hill. I stayed for 5days and it was hard to leave. Tips!!! Uber is your friend!!!! Do not use there local taxi. Take the free shuttle to the city and get some real deals!! Go see the Arches!!!

Yelp
On a girls trip to Cabo we were sucked into the time share presentation at this resort. All the staff was very pushy and we were promised so much and got nothing but a sad cold breakfast. I know we were going into this presentation and it's never great but my friends sister actually had a blast at her presentation at another resort! At the end we purchased a return voucher for this location, the guy assured us no strings attached and we could come back and even bring a friend. As I reached out recently on how to redeem the voucher they said we had to meet the requirements in order to use which some are you have to make $100,000, be married or couple between age 40-65! Like what?? The guy obviously knew we did not meet that criteria. So just beware what they tell you, what they sell you, what they charge you for. I just think they want rich retired people at their resort. Even though it is a beautiful resort probably not worth staying here.

Yelp
Absolutely amazing stay at this Cabo Resort! The staff was beyond friendly every time we ran into someone. The ocean view was amazing! The ocean views were right at our balcony and also at all the restaurants!!! The food was great! The variety of restaurants was great! My fave was the rooftop Italian restaurant! The resort is very big so just walking to the front of the hotel or even to a restaurant was a task. I'm so glad we had a great bellman that came to wish us up in the golf cart every time we needed to go somewhere! I'd definitely stay here again!

Yelp
We've visited Cabo many times and stayed at several all inclusives, but Hacienda Encantada is by far our best experience. From initial greeting in the lobby, to the final interaction with staff, everyone and I mean every single employee was happy, eager to serve, and provided excellent quality service. Food at all restaurants was good, reservations were easy to be made, but we found our favorite was Il Forno. We could find a fire pit table easily and watch the sunset each night with a glass of wine with dinner later. Ohlen is an exceptional waitperson at Il Forno, with a smooth disposition and diligent service. I'm not sure what management is doing to promote this quality of staff interaction with guests... But don't change a thing! We've found our go to annual Cabo trip resort and will definitely be returning .

Yelp
Buyer beware!!! They nickel and dime you when you check out with all these fees not to mention the signing for everything is annoying, confusing, and unorganized!!! I came here with 9 people and we all got the all inclusive and i still had some random bill for over 500 in charges!!! Not to mention my girlfriend got 260.00 stolen out of the room with not a care in the world by the horrible Manager!!! I am an owner here and am embarrassed and disgusted how i was treated!!!

Yelp
Pictures are deceiving! Don't go! Just returned from a 7 night / 8 day stay with my family, which included my husband, our 3 daughters (ages 12, 8 and 7), and my parents. My parents are Marriott owners and traded their week through Interval to stay at this "recommended" resort. Aside from the actual landscaping/grounds and views, I, unfortunately, have nothing good to say. Prior to our arrival, we opted for the all-inclusive premium plan for 5 out of the 8 days. This was upwards of $1600 out of pocket, which was on top of the actual accommodation cost! What they don't tell you is that tip is included with the all-inclusive plan. With every purchase, you'll receive a receipt and at the bottom, they have a stamp which conveniently covers the "tip is included" verbiage. The all-inclusive plan isn't so ALL-inclusive. The service from check-in to check-out got progressively worse. Whether at the pool, or in restaurants, it would, on average, take a minimum of 30+ minutes to even be acknowledged. This doesn't even include ordering and then waiting for your order, which would often be wrong. The property is enormous, and they have golf carts available, but you have to call to reserve. Due to so many issues with check-in, my father had to keep going back and forth to the lobby. On the 3rd time, he was told by staff that he was using the golf cart too much, and other people took priority. Mind you, we were trying to complete check-in and my parents are elderly. The actual rooms were just OK. It's very clear the money is not spent on upkeep, as there is paint chipping, missing grout or caulk, squeaky doors and faulty AC systems, to name a few. Despite us asking for someone to come fix the AC, it was not fixed and my girls' room was left at a chilling 62 degrees day and night. Also, there are bugs EVERYWHERE! This goes beyond bugs coming in/out from when opening the doors. We had bunches of bugs in the top corners of the rooms, ants everywhere and mosquitoes flying around all of the time. We also had to have someone come to spray. My girls woke up with mosquito bites on their arms and face! My oldest opted to sleep on the pullout sofa, which was disgusting, just to try to escape from the cold and bugs. There are no USB ports in room, so be sure to bring your own chargers. WiFi is spotty, and you have to frequently log on and off the network. You will be strongly encouraged to complete a timeshare presentation. They tried to sell my parents on a title/deed/vacation for upwards of $230K in some kind of asinine deal where they would purchase part of my parents' timeshare they already had with Marriott. Highway robbery. Even if this was a good deal, the service we experienced would deter me from ever setting foot back here. Dining options: bring your patience, lower your expectations, expect mistakes and horrific service. Barolo (Italian) was kind of good, though the 2nd time we went, the server asked to do shots with us. He proceeded to add 4 shots of Don Julio tequila on our bill. He drank 2 of them. Mestizo is supposed to be their "fancy" steakhouse. I've grilled myself better steak. The night before we left, they tried to pass of a 12-14oz T-bone off as a porterhouse for 2! We had to explain to the chef what different cuts of meat are! Meals are outrageous in price, too! Despite being on the "plan," you still have to sign. Both times at Mestizo, the totals were $500-$600 USD! No beach access. You'll need to reserve the shuttle to go to their sister site (15-20 min away). We were in bldg 1, but couldn't use the pool there because we had kids. We had to walk to the family pool daily, which had missing pool decking and tiles. My husband cut his heel - bring bandaids! I can't speak to service at the other pools, but expect none at the family pool. We had wanted to use the kids club, thinking it was included, but it's not. $25/day (9-2pm). There's more, but I'm running out of room! Do yourself a solid & avoid at all costs.

Yelp
We arrived to Hacienda Encantada last Monday, unfortunately, we were surprised by hurricane Norma on Friday. The staff prepared us well and kept us updated. Eder in the front lobby was extremely helpful and accommodating. He went above and beyond with his service. In addition Mauricio, the bell boy was very friendly and always provided service with a smile. Jessica in housekeeping, always made sure our room was clean and checked up on us several times. Overall the resort did an excellent job at keeping all the guests safe, during the hurricane.

Greg C.

Yelp
Poorly maintained. Lie about what's included. Marginal service. Must be under new management as the staff has no idea what is going on. Will never return. Had 2 rooms and had to change rooms multiple times due to water leaks and broken air conditioners.

Yelp
We accepted a "sales presentation" here. They are in an amazing location off the shore. The rooms they showed us were spacious. It's seems to be geared toward older people. The decor has a older castle, medieval feel. The breakfast they gave to the visitors isn't too good. I don't see millennials and hipsters staying here. It just seems like something your retired grandparents would have as a timeshare.

Yelp
We had a great trip to Cabo! As soon as you arrive the valet and bell boy staff are fantastic! Luis, David, Antonio, and Oskar were there all week making sure we were doing great and having fun. Jose and Jazmin were great through the whole check-in process and answering questions throughout the week. The staff truly made it outstanding. Con's: I can honestly say as a timeshare owner, who has sat through countless time share presentations this was the worst one ever. Alberto has got to be the rudest, most offensive person who works there. It was the worst part of the trip. Also, the wi-fi is terrible. I had to do work while on vacation and it was near impossible because of the wi-fi. Of course, Alberto told me multiple times that he would get me better wi-fi...if I bought a $250,000 house/time share. Needless to say, I had rubbish wi-fi the entire time. Super Pro: The spa is AMAZING! We went there multiple days because it was so beautiful and the services are spectacular. Anna is possibly the best masseuse ever. I very highly recommend the spa. They also have daily specials so it's really worth it. The restaurants onsite were great. We went to the sister resort which was nice, but the food wasn't as great. They also have some amazing wine selections at their restaurants and the ocean views are awesome. If you have been to Cabo before and stayed on the white sandy beaches, you have to try this. It's completely different and you are on the hillside with the large waves crashing in to the rocks. Its a wonderful view.

Yelp
The hotel itself is very appealing to the eye and very nice. We booked our "layover" room here thru my husband's credit card points and were surprised we had a 3 bedroom room for just the 2 of us. Pros: Pretty hotel. Comfy bed. Lots of space. Good toiletries. Washing machine in our room to clean clothes after being here for a week. Great view. Good water pressure and temperature. Gorgeous view Cons: Check-in lady had zero interest in us. Pushed us to the concierge and we made it very clear that we had ZERO interest in wasting our time for a presentation. You can't self-park a car, and they make it seem like you should get golf cart rides by them places so more tip $$. They VERY much so tried to pressure us into a timeshare and the location of the property isn't close to anything downtown, so it's not for anyone who likes to go out to dinner, etc. Like I said, one night but these are pretty darn accurate explanations.

Yelp
Our family had a wonderful stay last winter. We stayed in a very spacious two-bedroom, three-bath unit overlooking the ocean and infinity pool. We often sat on the balcony and watched the whales. The friendly staff took care of our every need. My wife and I got away from the kids and had some fantastic spa time. I highly recommend Hacienda Encantada!

Yelp
I just finished a week's stay at Hacienda Encantada/Vista Encantada Spa Resort & Residences in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. This resort is a good example of one with amazing potential if they only understood how important customer experience is to their business. The resort is gorgeous. It's on a hill with amazing views of the ocean, beaches and "Land's End" at the tip of Cabo San Lucas. The quality of construction was top-notch. The resort is beautiful in every way, is elegant and classy. I started my trip super excited as I was upgraded to a 2 bedroom suite with its own private pool. It was the most beautiful suite I've ever stayed in. It was amazing. The concierge staff and butlers they assigned were responsive and professional. I had Daniel and Paul taking care of my every need in the hotel. Now for the opportunity for improvement. I signed up for the all-inclusive plan as between Vista Encantada, their sister property, Hacienda Encantada, which is connected and their third property in the Cabo marina, I had access to about 12 restaurants, which they claimed were all premier dining destinations. The food quality in all of their restaurants was mediocre at best. You'd think with a resort this beautiful, they'd invest in high-quality food, but they do not. The real problem is the service. My guess is that they do not have restaurant managers qualified enough for their roles. Next, the server training must be lacking or non-existent as the service was atrocious. In virtually every restaurant and bar, I had to continually reorder my drinks as they never arrived, ask for napkins and silverware, ask for salt and pepper shakers and deal with lengthy wait times for a server to visit my table. My drinks and food were consistently not what I had ordered. It got to the point where I was convinced I was on "Candid Camera" and someone was playing a prank on me. The worst service I've ever experienced in any resort I've stayed at. I asked other resort guests and all of them complained about the horrible service and poor food quality. It feels like this resort is only interested in getting people booked for a stay but doesn't care about their guest's experience. Nobody I spoke with will ever return to this resort again. It's such a shame to build such a gorgeous resort in such an amazing location, only to have guests that will never return due to the poor service. With great service, I'll bet 99% of the guests would plan to return, would post great reviews, tell their friends and become advocates for the resort. Instead, guests will not be returning and the resort is missing out on untold revenue. To Vista Encantada, customer experience matters and it is what builds a sustainable and successful business.

My Review M.

Yelp
These individuals worked so hard to please their guest. They are not perfect, but they sure do work hard to get what we needed. Their staff was very friendly and it was easy to create a relationship with them. It was easy to walk around the resort or call for a golf cart pick up. These pick ups were easy and they drove us around to restaurants, the spa or anywhere we needed. I enjoyed the walk up to the church and the ocean. Note, there is not a beach, but the view is beautiful! We enjoyed the sister restaurants as well. We loved the shows that took place and the water aerobics! The food at the pool was yummy, we ordered lots of it! We are not timeshare owners, therefore cannot share that experience. We booked through Expedia and really loved the people and our overall stay.

Yelp
Excellent resort with fine dining restaurants. We've stayed here a few times, they've added a new wing "Vista" resort with an excellent spa, restaurant, beautiful lobby and lobby bar. Our suite room was large with a kitchen that had a cooktop, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker. The grounds are immaculate, beautifully maintained and gorgeous landscaping. Many pools from a kids pool with slides and water features, middle pool with more shade and a swim up bar, an adult's infinity pool(s), with a swim up bar and gorgeous views of the sea of Cortez. Service is great, from restaurants to pool services. 6+ restaurants from Los Rico's Mesquite Grill with steaks, an excellent gourmet Mexican restaurant La Trajinera, Italian restaurant Barolo Cucina, beautiful rooftop restaurant in the Vista called Mestizo Del Mar (International cuisine), many pool bars and food at the pool bars from sushi to tacos, wings and much more.

Yelp
Hacienda Encantada was absolutely fabulous! From the beautiful rooftop pool to the beachside cabanas this resort is centered in paradise. Guillermo was an excellent help with coordinating activities on the property - like horseback riding- as well as snorkeling and paddle boarding out in the city of Cabo. I was also comforted by the cleanliness of the resort - a must during covid. The villa was spacious and I loved the private pool!

Yelp
What is going on at this amazing resort on the southern tip in Baja? Its immaculate grounds, spacious rooms, and breath taking views are being eclipsed by poor management and nefarious actives of its staff. This is our 4th stay at Hacienda, our 6th trip to Cabo. We paid a lot of money to be "owners" in this seaside resort. We paid even more to have a 2 bedroom suite in the new El Encanto building. Last year, we enjoyed a wonderful vacation in this building with the dipping pool on our balcony, in room washer/dryer, and outdoor grill. I made reservations many months ago, the reservation agent assured me we would be in this room. Our dates were flexible, so I wanted to ensure we could get our room. Of course, when we showed up. LIES, DECEPTIONS, & TRICKERY. We got stuck on a low floor in the OLD building. Our views are obstructed by plants and the pool gazebo roof. Their flimsy excuse of course is, we never "guaranteed" your exact room. Really, what is my contract? What about when I made the room reservations? HE certainly expects me to guarantee my payment. Recourse, nothing, nada, zip. The real manager wont be back until Tuesday (we checked in Saturday). Really? Don't waste your time with this deceptive resort. Communication at this 1/2 star resort is at an all time low. We stopped by one of its overpriced restaurants at 700 PM to look at its overpriced menu. The manager asked if we wanted reservations; we just left the pool, we want to change, have a pre-dinner drink so we did not know what time we would eat. We returned at 830 to a 1/2 full restaurant, the manager told us it would be at least 30 minutes before they could take an order because the kitchen was backed up. Really, mid March, near full resort and you cant even keep up with orders/cooking/serving in a 1/2 full restaurant???? We of course left an went poolside for pizza. The pizza was good; a bit pricey, but it was poolside so that is expected. I wrote this on day 3 of our 7 day trip. I will update, if things change.

Yelp
We stayed at Hacienda Encatada for 6 night/7days for a friends wedding. Overall the resort was clean, very friendly staff and decent food (depending on the restaurant). On Friday January 28th, 2022 the individuals responsible for cleaning our room went though our bags and stole my Apple AirPod Pro headphones. I'm 100% positive they were in my bag. I failed as I always utilize the safe but forgot this one time and I was victimized. I'm a Police Officer in the United States and I have sharp detective skills. I did not immediately report my AirPods stolen as I could provide proof it was an employee. I also could not point out the employee who committed the theft. I spent all day Saturday and half the day on Sunday tracking my AirPods as they made their way around Cabo San Lucas and bouncing around from house to house. I took screenshots along the way and actually pinpointed on the map to get the exact address where they were at. Come Sunday afternoon, I log into Find My app and boom, the AirPods are back at the resort, near the lobby. My three buddies and I run to the lobby to locate them and instantly met with shift change and hundreds of employees all congregated in one place. We tried so hard searching the employees only area that we caught attention of several staff members. I dealt with Cesar from the concierge who was ver polite and professional. He and several other employees helped, searched and could not find anything. My only disappointment was Cesar kept saying that maybe I lost them or they were tuned into lost and found. I told him that would be impossible because I had them in my room, they were taken, they went around the city all day to ultimately coming back to the resort. It's clear they are in the hands of an employee. We were there with a group of 20 people and spent a ton of money. I left the resort feeling as if was my fault they employ unethical staff members. Upon checkout, I was not offered anything for compensation as I just had my 249.99 AirPods stolen. In all, we liked the resort but will never come back to be victimized again. On a last positive note, Blasé from Il Forno was outstanding! Love that dude!!!
