Hacienda La Victoria

We stayed with family and friends for 5 days. The kitchen was well stocked with spices and essentials. The yard and grounds were well kept. The pool was awesome and everyone loved it. The location made for excellent star gazing. Because it in the central part of the island it was easy to choose beaches that were different each day. The chickens just roam around the island and there was a hen with chicks who was fun to watch. There was a pet cat that lives at the house who was very nice.

This is a great place for families who wish a bit of a kitchen and shared cooking facility. Location is difficult without personal transportation. Otherwise clean and comfortable. Well maintained pool. Plenty of fluffy beach towels. Quiet nights.

It's really pretty outside, but the inside is very dated. We were told we couldn't swim in the pool, which you can imagine our disappointment. The mattresses were very old and hard. The water pressure in our shower was silly, but maybe that's how it is on an island? The pots and pans have seen better days. It was clean. I liked our fresh towels and the AC worked great. With a few minor upgrades, and an open pool, this place could be really awesome.

We LOVED our stay here! When leaving we were very sad to go! Bed was great! Beach towels and chairs were provided at no additional cost. Great location with easy access to both coasts of the isla with a view of the ocean even!

The house is Fantastic. My parents stayed there while we stayed in other house. The pool is really good and it is just 5 minutes from Sun Bay Beach. All the rooms has Air conditioning and they are really clean. Highly recommended.

This place is amazing. Our experience at Hacienda La Victoria was very pleasant. The place is very clean and everything we needed was there. Wifi worked perfect. There's beautiful horses around and the people around are very nice. Next time we come to Vieques, this is the place we are staying in!

Overall bad experience. Unless you're renting the whole house, I'd recommend finding a different place. I know this is in 'el campo' but we were surprised by how infested our room was with spiders and scorpions. I literally was *stung* by a scorpion in the shower (crawled out of the drain). Victoria said this is common and that she has been stung several times, but not to worry about it (huh?!). We had to break down spider webs on the gate just to open it, and found several large spiders in the room. The wifi signal (router itself, not the service) is weak - neither we nor the other guests could connect - unless they move the router to your room from the main house. Victoria also said many people complain about this. Bed was not very comfortable - it was not one of the 'main house' beds you see in the photos. Our door to the room was an industrial storage type door. Pro was that the pool was nice, and they let us use beach chairs and umbrella (make sure to ask) but that was about it. Maybe things have changed in the past year or two (all other reviews seem older).

This place is gorgeous, we stayed in the top level with 10 family members and were super comfortable. Located in the heart of the island so every beach in every direction is within minutes. Love it, love it, love it
