Hotel Hacienda Los Mortiños

Easily one of the best stays by Cotopaxi with comfortable rooms and lovely staff. The food is a bit basic and a meal at the Tambopaxi helps break up the monotony. But what sets the hotel apart is the location, there is nothing by you except the stunning scenery of Cotopaxi. The drive to the property does require a vehicle with high clearance.

You will not regret coming here! We loved the l spectacular views at the base of the Cotopaxi volcano while enjoying homemade tasty meals and breakfast. Our rooms featured warm cozy wood burning fireplaces - wow! The drive up from Machachi was an adventure but well worth it. The WiFi worked great on our iPhones in both the public areas and inside our rooms! A+++

Great Hacienda in Cotopaxi National Park. Spacious rooms with extraordinary views. Good food offerings and very friendly service. If you want to start your trip to the National Park relaxed then this Lodge is the place to be. They also offered horseback riding through the park.

Great place to spend some time in the mountain. Good food and service. The lovely owner makes you stay at home.

Comfortable lodge located just outside Cotopaxi national park. The rooms are comfortable with great wifi, and throughout the lodge the decor has either rustic vibe and there is some old mountaineering equipment decorating the second floor. The restaurant serves delicious meals with a local flair, and the staff are friendly and helpful. But perhaps the best aspect is the amazing view of Cotopaxi, which can be seen from the restaurant, some rooms, and from a balcony on the second floor!

Los Mortiños was an incredible place to stay! The rooms and the whole hacienda were beautiful. The food was the best food we had in Ecuador!! We enjoyed horseback riding, and casual strolls to the National Park. They organized our transportation from Machachi and back, which was incredibly helpful since we didn’t have a car. Everything was lovely!

Very great experience! Memorable, unique, clean, amazing customer service, cozy!!!!! Unbeatable views and great food!!! Loved the bathroom- big and clean. Comfortable beds. Fireplace was so nice. Great hiking nearby and many things to do.

Worth every penny , not a 5 star hotel but service is great and can’t beat the views from the room we stayed at .
