A wonderful, peaceful oasis amongst the olive groves. We have just returned from our second visit this year ( in fact we have booked two more visits later in the year), and feel perfectly relaxed. The staff are all very helpful and courteous, the dining room is very romantic with a lovely open fire. There was even a Brasero under our table the one evening, very cosy. The menu is not too extensive, but has a good mix of meat, game and fish, with a good selection of hot and cold starters. The wine list has some interesting reasonably priced wines. Breakfast is very good and can be taken out on the terrace weather permitting. The rooms are tastefully done, however lacking in general maintenance. Little things like leaky taps, water not draining from the sink very quickly, and a decent fitting to hold the shower head would be useful ! However, these minor irritants are more than made up for by the setting and history of this building. Ideal for exploring other towns and villages, great walking, especially if , like us, you were accompanied by our dog. Fully reccomended.
