This hotel has a beautiful location. The terrace where we had breakfast had a wonderful view. We also had a great meal in the restaurant at a reasonable price. However, several things were disappointing. The shower was too cold to use - would be OK in the summer, I’m sure. The breakfast was very poor value with no hot food. For the breakfast we paid £40 for 2 adults and 2 kids on Expedia - the hotel said it should have been €9 each but didn’t offer a refund, and that still would have been overpriced. There are a large number of cats around the place, which is cute but proved not terribly hygienic. The TV didn’t work. The shaving mirror in the bathroom was broken. These last 2 things are minor quibbles but for a “4 star” hotel with an 8.8 Expedia rating, it was not what I was expecting. Without those, I would booked a cheaper place. I will be wary of relying so much on ratings/stars in future.

The room was excellent, very spacious with a beautiful view on the hills and valleys around. The bathroom was also huge. The hacienda is quite isolated and this fact massively boosts, in my opinion, its appeal. Coming back late at night, driving through endless expanses of olive trees with only the moon and stars as companions and reaching our room crossing the huge front door, always open, and the typical Andalusian white patios really did have something magical to it. The value for money is simply unbeatable.

Great hotel to stay! They don’t have the perfect pictures on their website but in reality the hotel is really good. Authentic, calm, stylish. The breakfast is a traditional Spanish nothing special. The restaurant is also good. I suppose that visiting during the non tourist season makes a place more magical.

Lovely historic hotel with comfortable rooms and amazing food. For our last visit we had half board. The dinner menu choice was limited on half board and I would recommend that either you can choose from the normal menu and pay any additional cost for your choices or that you take the bed and breakfast option and just go a la carte for lunch or dinner.

Beautiful place full of character in a perfect spot. Service was very good. Great bed and pillows. We also had a great? At the restaurant. A few small criticisms keeps it down to 4 stars: The pool area was a bit run down, and the shower wasn't great (it had one of those hand held showers propped up against the wall that spayed too high). No towels offered for the pool.

Rustic rural lodging surrounded by incredible views. We visited the hacienda as part of a biking tour that highlighted this area for touring being adjacent to a vacated railway right of way. The hotel amenities and rooms were somewhat tired and not as crisp as I would have thought they would have been. Regardless the kitchen served us lovely breakfasts and dinners and the beverages from the bar were only a bell ring away. Interestingly the hacienda is known for their preference to visiting swallows which nested in the ceiling of the reception. A very interesting place to stay with many picturesque towns and sites to bike to ..

A wonderful, peaceful oasis amongst the olive groves. We have just returned from our second visit this year ( in fact we have booked two more visits later in the year), and feel perfectly relaxed. The staff are all very helpful and courteous, the dining room is very romantic with a lovely open fire. There was even a Brasero under our table the one evening, very cosy. The menu is not too extensive, but has a good mix of meat, game and fish, with a good selection of hot and cold starters. The wine list has some interesting reasonably priced wines. Breakfast is very good and can be taken out on the terrace weather permitting. The rooms are tastefully done, however lacking in general maintenance. Little things like leaky taps, water not draining from the sink very quickly, and a decent fitting to hold the shower head would be useful ! However, these minor irritants are more than made up for by the setting and history of this building. Ideal for exploring other towns and villages, great walking, especially if , like us, you were accompanied by our dog. Fully reccomended.
