Nope, it’s not in town—a whole 5 minutes drive to town and a bit further to the Muelle de Carabelas and La Rabita. This boutique hotel, nestled comfortably into an old mansion, is a total jewel. The rooms aren’t huge but adequate and each has a room size terrace. It is completely private and no one can see into it.||||As another reviewer mentioned, the dinner service is professional, extremely well executed dishes that are very generously proportioned. The calamari was beautifully fried without heaviness. It was the nirvana of calamari—the satisfaction of a search for the perfect one. The duck breast was exquisitely cooked medium rare, sliced and plated on quarters of fresh pineapple with a berry and red currant and liquor reduction as the sauce. A+. I’d say even if you stay in town it’s worth the trip to have dinner here. First rate wines are on offer...3 courses with wine sharing everything came to €44.||||Breakfast was delicious. Best eggs ever with choice of styles and fillings. I had the scrambled with mushrooms and they were sensational. My partner had Spanish chorizo omelette. Fresh bread, especially whole wheat, fruit, the fabulous, peppery local olive oil—all was beautiful, fresh and perfect, including the coffee. I loathe ultra pasteurized dairy and can always smell and taste it. The Hacienda does not use this product—real milk only. We loved it too.
