We stayed 11 days in June 2025 in our spacious room with a wonderful ocean view at a reasonable price. The beds were comfortable, the air conditioning worked great, and we always had plenty of hot water for showering. We had sliding glass doors to our balcony that had a small table and 2 chairs. Tip: Always lock the sliding doors to your balcony when you're not using it. Complimentary coffee and ceramic cups in the attractive hotel lobby was very good and appreciated. We enjoyed a refreshing dip in the swimming pool after a day at the beach or going on excursions. For a few days we didn't realize we should enter the beach pool area through a special coded gate, and we felt badly for walking through the restaurant to go to the beach or pool. I think we weren't told, maybe because we checked in fairly late in the day. The Muelle Once Restaurant always had excellent, very beautiful food, and the service was tops. We loved starting our day having breakfast there, with freshly made natural iced beverages and coffee. There was something special about each of the food items we ordered. One suggestion I would make is that the bedding could be upgraded. We really appreciate having had a great stay at Hacienda Morales.

Very interesting reading previous reviews. We spent a lovely week here. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room was obviously not high end, but neither was the price. It was clean, comfortable and sufficient. Unlike some, we found the beds very comfortable. Would have been nice if they had a few more English speaking channels on the TV. Location is second to none. 20 feet to the beach and many restaurants and bars within a short walk in safe neighborhoods. We felt no anti-American sentiment while in Mexico, and joked with the help about the renaming of the Gulf of Mexico by our idiot president. |I would definitely return to this charming and very affordable hotel.

Keeping in mind that this is a 3-star hotel and not a resort, it's a good place to stay. If the upkeep were better and breakfast were included, it would be a great place to stay. The place is getting old. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, but they have not kept up on maintenance. The location is incredible. Beach front with beautiful views. The area is safe and within walking distance of everything. Staff was super nice and helpful when needed. I would definitely stay here again, depending on where the prices go. If they included breakfast, that would really be a bonus. Regarding the comments about noise from a night club...I stayed in March 2025. There is nothing across the street and no noise at night. Very peaceful area.

I stayed here in April 2025. The location is really hard to be. You're right on the beach and really close to the pier. That also puts you very close to the plaza in the middle of town. This place could be absolutely great if they would just fix a few things up. It is starting to get old and needs more upkeep. Other than that, it was pretty good. The daily room service does not change bed sheets. I wish they did. There are dispensers in the shower and by the sink for soap but they smell like formaldehyde. I ended up going to the store and getting my own. Speaking of which, there is a good grocery store literally right across the street. People who have left reviews complaining about a nightclub across the street. There is nothing across the street. The building is empty. TV reception is bad and it's all in Spanish. The TV has USB ports and is a smart TV so you can use apps on it. I had movies on a USB drive that played just fine. One thing to keep in mind is that this is not a luxury resort. It is a three-star hotel.

The view and location of this room are wonderful. You are just steps from the plaza and many choices for dining or shopping. Our view from our quite large balcony was fantastic. The staff are also very nice and helpful. The air conditioning works great and housekeeping kept the room very clean. A nice feature is a water cooler of filtered water in the lobby that you can use to refill your personal water bottle. The historic feel of the property is also nice.||The drawbacks -|The room is very basic, which is usually fine for my purposes. There were some negatives though. There is no phone to call the front desk if you have an issue. Our deadbolt had to be manhandled by my husband to lock into place. The beds are small and ROCK HARD. Seriously, these beds were like boards. I'm not picky, but it was very uncomfortable. Also, the pillows are extremely lumpy. The furniture is old and could use some updating, but the real issue for me was my inability to get a good night's sleep on the uncomfortable bed. For the price point of this hotel, you could have a nicer room elsewhere in town or a very nice airbnb.||The hotel is right on the beach, but actual access to the beach is complicated. You have to either walk through the independently owned/run restaurant on the property or go down to a little passage way where there is a small spa.

This hotel has a location that is second to none. It is a minute walk to the main square in Puerto Morelos and a second from the beach. I booked last minute so was expecting a smaller room with no view, but instead got a large room with a stunning view ( they all have stunning views, see photo attached). It was without a doubt an amazing value for the money. ||The staff, specially Doria, were all professional and welcoming. The cleaning staff insured the rooms and grounds were spotless. ||When i had am issue with a couple of things in the room staff were there immediately to address the issue. To be balanced the hotel has a few items that could be updated, but when I look at the big picture it was a perfect place to stay in Puerto Morelos. ||Enjoy and tell them I sent you!!!

Can't beat the location of this hotel! It's right off the main square and has private, secure parking if you've rented a car. The street is busy during the day but town gets very quiet at night so we didn't have any noise issues at all. ||Hotel room is basic. Beds were very firm and pillows pretty lumpy but we made do. The AC was fantastic and kept room as cool as we wanted and my little girl loved lounging in front of the big TV with lots of English options for a little downtime. ||Our Premium room on the second floor had a big balcony and a sliding screen door that we could leave open to hear the waves crashing below. ||The room was spotlessly clean and the housekeepers did a fantastic job tidying it daily. We left them a tip each day and please remember to do this! ||The day & night staff at the front desk were lovely and helpful. The room does not have a phone, so the gentleman on night duty came to knock on our door at 4 AM to make sure we were up to depart for our very early flight! Much appreciated.||We ate breakfast at the restaurant twice and it was wonderful! Delicious avocado toast, bacon, pancakes with fresh fruit, and brioche French toast that was fantastic! Coffee was hot and they refilled often and they offered almond milk, which I really appreciated. Prices were reasonable. ||The only drawback was that we booked original reservations with Expedia and needed to make changes after the original cancellation deadline and neither Expedia nor the hotel management allowed any flexibility in adjusting the dates, even though they were sold out and could have possibly resold those nights that we ended up having to pay for. Lesson learned to always book direct! ||Thanks for a great stay and we'd love to come back!

The best short-term stay (2 weeks or less) in Puerto Morelos. It's close to the square, malecon and pier. The attached restaurant, Mulle Ounce is phenomenal. With the hotel being right on the ocean you can sleep to waves and a sea breeze. Have stayed here many times and will continue to.

Yelp
If you're looking for one of those grand resorts in Cancun or Tulum, this is not it. This is a quaint and lovely little hotel, in a quiet town; which is exactly what I was looking for. I came to Quintana Roo for a few days of diving and picked this hotel because it was equidistant from Playa del Carmen and Cancun. It was a lesser known town so it wasn't overrun with tourists. The hotel itself was situated in the middle of town, so I was able to walk to various restaurants and shops. The supermarket is right across the street which made it easy to pick up supplies. The rooms are large and comfortable. The furniture is old but clean and in working order. It was such a great value for the price. The restaurant within the hotel was lovely as well. I would definitely stay here again.

Yelp
We stayed in August, had a seaside third floor room, the stairs were tough, but the view was worth it! The room was certainly not Fancy, but again, the view.....And then around 11:00, what appeared to be a shuttered business across the street by day, turned into the loudest most horrible karaoke bar, which continued until 2AM.....It's not in our nature to complain and figured how could they keep up that energy up for another night? Well, needless to say, they did! The next morning we drug ourselves down to the desk, we were of course told that they complain to the Police all of the time, with no response from the PM Police......Maybe it was the sad eyes that my wife made, but the two folks at the desk took pity on us....and when we came back at the end of the day, our bags were moved to the other side of the hotel....we had no idea that on the left side of the hotel, stood a totally different part of the hotel, nicely appointed, beautiful views, ( still the steps) but no noise!!!! Absolutely what we wished we would have had from the beginning! So when booking your stay here , be sure that you are booked in the new side, the left or North side of the hotel, and you will certainly have a great experience. Hit the restaurant downstairs and you will double your pleasure! That we have reviewed separately

Yelp
We are glad that we found this place. We were only interested to get some cocktails but the food look and smell so good we end up getting appetizers too.

Yelp
When looking on the Internet you see that it's not a high-quality place but it looks clean. Upon arriving and looking at the interior it look okay. Okay to the eyes. It was not updated. Electric was unstable. Internet was unstable. It was infested with ants the entire time. Staff did come to spray and we bought spray and it was still lots. We had bugs the entire time. Also, they do not provide wash clothes. They only provide towels. We went across the street to buy those. The beds were extremely hard. I felt like I was in college all over again. We had to go across town to buy cushion bedding for that. Something else hat they have no control o we is the beach but I think you should know that the seaweed is so bad there really wasn't any beach time. The restaurant was ver expensive but the quality of food was not. They would take over an hour to prepare it but it would not be hot. I think I would have enjoyed my trip if I could have gotten a good quality sleep. Also, they were not honest about prices at doctors office that was across the street from there hotel. They would write you out a coupon to get a discount for a COVID test but the prices were already cheap than the card.

Yelp
Hi we stayed here from October 12-17. It was great! It's not a 5 star. So if you are looking for that, then this place is not for you. The staff really goes out of your way, to make a great experience for you! Omgee!!! The views from the right rooms are breathe taking! The price makes every little wrong worth it. Karen who was the receptionist was amazing! Her and my husband coordinate a cake for my birthday and had the band sing to me! All the staff is really nice. The beach was beautiful. We had beach almost to ourselves first couple of days. It's seem more like a swimming pool. Hardly any waves. Water was calm. Which I love!! Will definitely be coming back!

Yelp
A quaint little gem! Needed a hotel for 1 night before we checked into our resort. This economical spot worked well. Friendly check in, restaurant/bar on premises, small pool, many rooms had balconies. For around $100, we had a Oceanview room and free full breakfast. The room was clean and minimal with a coffeepot, complimentary coffee, water and toiletries. Enjoyed our stay. Friendly staff throughout. Recommend if you are looking for economy and small, off the beaten path hotel.

Yelp
A comfortable room with an ocean view and a back door just a few steps from the inviting pool and a few steps more down to the beach. It is not a good beach for swimming, but I am happy just to sit under an umbrella and watch the waves, the breakers, the sailboats, and the distant cruise ships. Breakfast, which was included, was adequate, service was good, and the view from the covered terrace section of the restaurant was relaxing. Everything I needed (comfortable beds, nice bathroom, coffee, tv, ac) to be comfortable while enjoying the sights and sounds of the sea.

Yelp
We first stayed here in 2015, and the hotel was a little "faded". But they were just beginning renovations. In 2016 we couldn't stay here, because the renovations were totally underway. Now, 2017, we booked two rooms for two nights for eight friends. You cannot beat the price for the view of the ocean and the location. It is a stone's throw from the town square. Breakfast is included. This hotel NAILS those features. It has been redone, lots of new paint and tiles and new bed frames. The bathrooms have new sinks. The water pressure is fixed, there is hot water without issue. We had one issue: one of the rooms flooded. Yes, the second floor room had standing water. The suitcases that were on the floor were soaking wet, as were the clothes and other things. The hotel moved (and upgraded) the four who were underwater. After some pushing the poor woman at the front desk who seemed to not know what to do about it, they finally took a bag of soaked clothes to be washed and dried. (Hopefully the laundry is done before we leave today for our next destination!) Staff is very friendly. The pool is small and deep and refreshing. The view, location, and included breakfast makes this place worth it. Also - tough to beat the 2 for 1 happy hour drinks delivered poolside. This is really more of a 3.5 star hotel. Don't let my "low" review scare you. Just remember this is a small town in Mexico, relax, and enjoy!

Yelp
We stayed here for three nights in November. The hotel is in a great location right on the beach in "downtown" Puerto Morelos. The room was simple with a queen sized bed and typical hotel furniture which opened right onto the pool area. The room had a TV but it didn't work - when we asked, we were told that there was no cable TV available, The in room safe didn't work either. The hotel also offers wi-fi but we couldn't get a signal in our room. While trying to enjoy the pool there were some children that belonged to the hotel staff throwing toys into the pool and then jumping on both myself and my wife when we tried to swim. Many of the poolside loungers were also broken. This hotel did not deliver on so many levels - do yourself a favor and stay elsewhere based on our experience, we will definitely not return
