Hacienda Na Xamena, Ibiza

We came for the sunset experience at Los Nidos which was just spectacular - the cocktails are made with passion and the nibbles are just divine. The staff are welcoming, friendly and professional. We then went for dinner at the Eden restaurant, and it was out of this world! We had prawn tartare, tuna salad, with pork cheek & beef tenderloin for main, with pistachio tiramisu and apple tart to finish. The waiting staff are superb, especially Luis & Jerson. They are attentive without being overbearing, and the food was absolutely delicious. We can’t wait to come back again!

We absolutely loved our stay at Hacienda Na Xamena. The rooms are spacious and the view is simply breathtaking. The staff was very helpful and gave me super glue to fix my slippers as well as helped me save a little bird that was stranded on our balcony. We had a wonderful stay overall and the beds are very comfortable. The restaurants are very healthy & fresh. I highly recommend staying in this peaceful area of Ibiza.

We stayed at the hotel for our minimoon. One of the most amazing locations I’ve stayed for sure. We debated to start with because of mixed reviews but we were very happy with our choice! It’s secluded, calm and quiet, the views are breathtaking and hotel offers different areas to spend time in. Inside pool was really nice for evenings and outside pool and daybeds for the sunny days. The spa was amazing! Highly recommend. Great variety of delicious cocktails in the bar and breakfast selection was great. We also loved our room, when we arrived we were very well welcomed with the tour, spa experience and dinner was booked for us immediately. Some things maybe to improve are service speed in the bar restaurant in the evenings.. We also visited Eden twice (stunning views) but found the prices aren’t quite right for what we expected. We also saw in a few places online that this is adult-only hotel and chose it because of it as we wanted some quiet time, yet it wasn’t the case and kids were occasionally very very noisy, also because you can hear through the ceilings when kids jump and run around. Perhaps it used to be adult only before Overall really great experience and highly recommend the hotel!

Stayed for our honeymoon which they did zero to make feel special. The view is amazing and rooms nice but overall the service really let down the stay. Our meal at the restaurant was unbelievably slow service and dismissive staff. An extra “service charge” is applied on the whole hotel bill at checkout. Expected more for the price.

Disappointing experience … First of all, yes the view is amazing, it’s definitely the best asset of this hotel. However, this hotel is not at all a 5 stars hotel, hardly a 4 stars to be honest. The hotel is very very dated and the rooms are not well maintained, the whole hotel suffers from a humidity issue which is hidden by a perfume. The decoration of the room is very old and the wall, ground are deteriorated. I also pointed out several leaks from the installation. Rooms are somehow located in an underground place accessible via a stark stairs, looking a bit like a hospital. Considering the price of the room, it’s a shame. I would definitely go have a drink there at sunset, but don’t sleep there.

Up in the hills and well worth the drive, but aware the roads are winding! Plenary of car parking once you arrive. The common parts (not common at all!) of the hotel, are beautifully designed and furnished throughout the labyrinth of rooms and open areas. The vistas are incredibly with the hues changing as the sun passes by. Service is incredible and pleasant. The restaurant has incredible views and very capable team of chefs. Many go just for dinner. The pool is small yet, can be very hot as the wind tends to come for behind the hotel making it hotter than an oven. Rooms can be a let down with small balconies. All rooms are overlooked by others so little to no real-privacy. All in all a very pleasant stay.

The view from the hotel is absolutely incredible — truly breathtaking. The design and overall look of the property are beautiful. However, our experience was disappointing in several ways. We booked a superior room because the pictures on the website showed rooms located on the upper floors with unobstructed views. In reality, we were given a room on a lower floor where half of the view was blocked by the terrace of the suites above us. This was misleading and frustrating. Inside the room, the minibar prices were outrageously high — for example, a small bag of chips cost €7. In general, food and drinks at the hotel are much more expensive than anywhere else we visited in Spain. When ordering a drink by the pool, we were immediately asked to sign a receipt that included a tip line, and then at checkout, the receptionist still asked us to leave an additional €50 for tips — which felt excessive, especially considering the room was €900 per night. Overall, the hotel felt very stingy despite the high price we paid. We also booked "Los Nidos" thinking we could have dinner there. In the end, the experience cost €300 for two people and only included one drink per person and three tiny bites. We asked if we could order food (even at an extra cost) and were told it wasn't possible. We stayed just to watch the sunset — hungry — and had to order room service at 10 PM because the main restaurant was fully booked. In summary, while the hotel is stunning and the views are amazing, the staff didn’t always seem very friendly, and the prices for everything (especially food and drinks) are extremely inflated. After paying such a high price for the room, the overall attitude of the hotel felt unwelcoming and overly money-focused.

I booked three nights at Xamena as a gift for my wife on our one-year anniversary. The photos promised luxury and serenity — but what we walked into was a honey trap. The warning signs started before we even reached the hotel. We enquired about a transfer from the airport and were quoted €190. A regular taxi? €50. That 300% markup set the tone. A taste of what was to come. The hotel is perched on a remote mountain, and once you're there, you realise you're marooned — no shops, no alternatives. Just you and a €20 smoothie, a €20 glass of mediocre wine, €40 to access a lukewarm hot tub. It’s a gilded cage — they know you’ve got nowhere else to go, and they charge accordingly. Sadly, this kind of gouging is not uncommon in Ibiza, but what stings here is the quality: the prices scream five-star, the experience limps along at two. Food continues the trend. Breakfast isn’t included — even at this price point — and costs €40 per person. Room service is a limited menu of dry, forgettable dishes. We paid €40 for what can only be described as sad chicken and chips — something you'd send back at a pub, let alone a "luxury" resort. The food at their gourmet restaurant Eden is forgettable but the bill is not. One of the reasons I booked Xamena was for the activities advertised, especially the electric bikes. These, too, come at a cost — but despite what the website says, the hotel only had two bikes available for the entire hotel during our stay meaning it was impossible to hire them. With no car and no real access to the outside world, we were effectively stranded. Thankfully, taxis brave the mountain — otherwise, we’d have been fully at the mercy of their €190 transfer fees. The staff try, and a few were lovely, but service is patchy and nowhere near five-star. The room itself is beautiful, and the views are truly breathtaking — but don’t be fooled. It’s a trap. You’ll leave lighter — not from relaxation, but from being rinsed at every turn. Food, drinks, services, even the basics — all overpriced and underwhelming. As we checked out, we didn’t feel wistful or sad to be going. We just felt relieved to be getting off that money grabbing mountain.

The staff were exceptional and accommodating for anything we needed. Great hospitality and the most wonderful views. We look forward to returning for our anniversary. Thank you so much!

Na Xamena has one of the most beautiful views on Ibiza. Go here for a drink just before sunset and enjoy a romantic few hours when it starts to get dark. BUT, please lower your expectations on the service before your visit. We were here to visit Na Xamenas Cascadas Suspendidas (salt water bubble pools) and really liked the SPA and the view. Unfortunately, we were not as happy with the lounge afterwards where we were promised snacks and drinks (included in the SPA package). You get quite thirsty after being in a bubble pool in the sun for 40 minutes so it was very surprising that they didn't even serve us water or non the less the drinks that were included right after the SPA. After asking three times and 40 minutes of waiting, we finally got our snacks. I noticed that none of the staff (including the SPA personell) thought this was a big deal. However, a gentleman who also was a guest and over heard our conversation with the staff seemed to understand me very well. "The service is just too hopelessly slow" he said, as he left the lounge.

Well well...It would appear that they have stepped up their game since these last reviews were done! I went here as a surprise from my lady a couple weeks ago and it pretty much earned every one of those 5 stars (the hotel is the first 5 star hotel in Ibiza, earning it's 5th star in 1988). We showed up hoping the nice weather would hold; if it didnt we werent going to stay. This means, we didn't even have a reservation. We talked to the very nice receptionist who brought someone out to give us a tour of the place, just in case we wanted to stay. After taking the tour there was literally no way we WERENT going to stay there! Our room had an outstanding view....like ridiculous. The place is like built into the side of a mountain or something so no matter where you're at you can get a great glimpse of the White Isle. We checked into our rooms (which came with complementary fruit basket and and a bottle of Cava) then hit up the pool. The water in the pool was pretty cold, but that didn't stop my lady from throwing me in! It was nice to just lay out, take in the view, and have a drink. We did also sign up for their cascading spa treatment for the evening time. We showed up, checked in, got our robes, and were walked down to the amazing bubbling pools of different temperatures. After about an hour in the multilevel spa treatment, we got to sit down and enjoy the view while eating fruit and having little fruit juice drinks. Dinner was also part of our package, which was a couple of courses of yummy food over at their Eden restaurant, which overlooks the pool. I remember the lamb being particularly standout, and they had these rellenos things with pesto that were also really good as starters. It's good that the place has a nice restaurant on offer because Na Xamena isn't really close to anything, so it's not like you can go somewhere else for a quick bite to eat or anything! The next morning we got up ready to check out but decided to partake in breakfast as well, which was full continental will all the fix ins, including meats and various cheeses, as well as eggs however you want them made. I made sure to stuff my face good and proper before we left! This was a legitimate 5 star experience and as soon as i get some more money I'm going back to this place to maybe stay longer than one night. It's amazing.

-Management was extremely rude. -lied about spa package ( didn't have time to complete) -food with spa package was awful -by the time we got our food we couldn't make our massage time -no ones clear about anything that's going on -too many rules you cannot take your phone to the pool to take your own pics -took our money and wouldn't refund us for a service we didn't receive -the view was nice
