Really wanted to like this place. It is in an absolutely beautiful location and the hacienda itself has been thoughtfully restored. The staff was pretty friendly as well, however I am very afraid of bugs and as there was a good sized hole underneath the door (see pictures), our night was spent staying alert to whatever crawled through, which was several very large spiders, scorpions, and lizards. If I had seen this in any reviews I definitely would not have booked here, and we checked out a day early with no refund. I understand it is in a rural location and it would be different if only a bug or two had snuck in, but as we were afraid to even fall asleep it was one of the most miserable experiences of my life. I would expect this if it were a camping trip, but this is a pretty expensive hotel. Cannot recommend this hotel unfortunately.

Electing to give a 2 star review here because while this hotel is hands down the worst overnight stay I’ve had in a tent, a hostel, a hotel or otherwise… it also happened to have cute pink paint everywhere plus nice plants and lamps. The 2 stars are for those features only. |I came with my wife on our honeymoon. We arrived to check in and appeared to be the only guests. We wandered around for a while trying to find any staff member to help us check in and nothing. No one at the front desk, no other cars parked there, door wide open, silent. So we left. Ran back to the car past the dozens of large iguanas zipping back and forth across all the walkways and driveway. We go eat in Izamal at a great restaurant and come back ready to try this place again. Staff are there this time and show us to our room then go back to the main building. |In our room, we notice a lizard on the ceiling, no big deal. We open up our suitcases and head back to the bar area to hang out. |We come back to our room to find a scorpion hanging out by our suitcases. cooooool, we move the suitcases and find a spider. BIG ONE. cooool, we kill it. ants. cool. lizard has a buddy. I guess they make noise. Loud squealing noises to each other. So, we go to the desk and tell them there’s bugs everywhere. They say “Oh! You need THIS!” They hand us a bottle of RAID. We come back to MORE spiders, moths, a couple jumping bugs I didn’t even know about, AC condensation dripping into our suitcases. Staff leaves for the night. We didn’t sleep at all. There were large spiders coming in all night, lizards running across the ceiling above our head and howling at the lizards outside on the windows. We did see just one scorpion, which only made me wonder where the other ones were. |The thought occurred to me I would’ve rather been in a tent that night so I could’ve zipped it up and not dealt with all the bugs. However, while that would’ve been preferable, I never would’ve spent that much money to go camping. I’d say the people need to know this is the most beautiful, poorly- sealed camping experience I’ve ever had. We checked out early the next morning. Staff laughed at us and we paid full price for the remaining day we didn’t want to stay for.

Beautiful place. An OK hotel that could be a nice hotel with some fresh paint in the rooms and removal of the mold in the shower. Service is very friendly but the slowest I've seen in Mexico. At Breakfast you get your eggs after 30minutes, your silverware 5mins later and the coffee after another 10mins. Please improve the service and this could be an enjoyable place.

We spent a fantastic evening and morning enjoying everything the hacienda had to offer. Very nice room, good bed, huge, bathroom, nice linens. Good A/C. Staff were wonderful and friendly. The manager even rounded up a coffee for me before the restaurant opened for breakfast. Breakfast was perfectly adequate. Two eggs, a little fruit, yogurt, granola and a piece of toast. Plus as much strong coffee as we wanted to drink. The pool was lovely, we stayed and enjoyed it in the morning before heading off.

Hacienda Sacnicte is a very pleasant and quiet place just outside Izamal. We were greeted very kindly, the rooms were very clean and the staff was very attentive. From Hacienda Sacnicte it is easy to drive to Izamal so the combination of such a beautiful accommodation as Hacienda Sacnicte and the proximity to Izamal is great. The pool offered the opportunity for the children to cool off and the surroundings of the hacienda invite the little ones to explore and have fun.

What a great experience! This small hacienda (10 rooms) is located outside charming Izamal in a rural setting. Rooms are large and stylish; ours had 2 double beds, a walk-in closet and a large shower room. There is a good sized pool surrounded by tropical vegetation and a covered terrace where meals are served. Inside seating areas are very stylish. Both breakfast and dinner were good. Staff were very friendly and helpful. It would be advantageous to have a car when staying here; we didn’t, so were dependent on taxis to get into Izamal. Very sorry to have to leave!

This was my second stay at Hacienda Sacnicte; my first was two years ago. It is a gorgeous, peaceful, charming place. It literally brings tranquility to your soul. Wonderful and friendly service, fabulous food for dinner beautifully presented, amazing included breakfast. My only problem was, this trip, we had practically zero water pressure and no hot water in the shower. That was unfortunate. But I very much recommend an escape to this magical place.

What a beautiful hotel! Restored from a centuries old hacienda, it’s both authentic and charming. Our room was beautiful - see video posted. After eating an amazing dinner in town at Ristorante Kinish, we’re sitting on the huge stone veranda, sipping tequila and watching a lightning and thunder storm. Perfecto!
