Hacienda San Jorge

I think I’ve finally found the exotic vibe I was looking for! The hotel has a stunning botanical garden, the staff is incredibly friendly, and the rooms were absolutely amazing. It even reminded me of the hotels from The White Lotus, a series I absolutely love! Thank you for the wonderful experience and hospitality. We’ll definitely be back next time—with our cats!

Amazing hotel set in beautiful surroundings. The staff all work so hard to keep the hotel to the standard it is. |Lovely, well appointed rooms, kept spotless by the room service staff. Breakfast and dinner is served in the restaurant with views over the pool or sea. Excellent, varied selection of hot and cold food that caters for everyone.|The hotel has a fabulous pool surrounded by beautiful gardens, all kept perfectly maintained.|Absolute paradise.

Loved this place. The tropical gardens are beautiful, but there is a feeling of peace, tranquility and calmness. The staff are kind and friendly and work very hard. The hotel was spotless with a huge pool and the food was really good. Just a short bus ride to Santa Cruz too and buses every half hour. Lovely black sand beaches nearby. If we return to La Palma, we will definitely want to stay here.

We absolutely loved our stay at Hacienda San Jorge! They have a massive pool surrounded by gorgeous gardens. The beach is only a few steps away. The rooms are spacious and spotless. The staff were very attentive and kind. They spoke English and German perfectly. I have issues with my back and my bed was a tad bit hard but I asked for a bed topper and it was fine after that. The room was a little warm at times as they do not have AC, but they were able to accommodate me with a fan. |We enjoyed the location. There are restaurants and bars within walking distance. The best part was the car/room package deal! We had a car ready within minutes of checking in . The whole process was very easy. The island of La Palma is absolutely magnificent! We will definitely be back.

We had an enjoyable 5 nights at this hotel on the east side of La Palma. As many have said, the hotel has beautiful botanical gardens and a large swimming pool which was always comfortably warm. Most of the guests seemed to be German, Dutch or Scandinavian as they seem to still have package holidays to the island.|We had room A102 which was ground floor and overlooked the road with the bins. This meant that we did not have an inviting outdoor space and the room was dark at all times of the day. The hotel was built for the 1980s package holiday market and I think has stayed that way.|We had one small bottle of water in the room on arrival. A small, minimally equipped kitchenette but with no supplies of any kind eg no salt, no coffee filters. The kitchenette was however useful for making our packed lunches and we bought supplies from the hotel gift shop/mini market which even did warm bread in the mornings.||Breakfast was ok but a lot of the food was over-sweet or processed and I think they need more modern, healthy options. We did not eat any of the buffet dinners.||Outside the hotel there is a gorgeous beach area of black sand with a sheltered swimming cove. The best I have come across in the Canaries. There is a also a sad and run-down commercial centre with dead or dying bars and restaurants. An exception being the thriving ice cream shop. The only good places to eat that we found were El Pulpo on the beach ( very simple seafood ) and Osteria El Geco ( pizzas and pastas etc ) which was a 10 minute walk along behind the H10 Hotel.|Getting the bus to Santa Cruz is however easy enough but do not expect much choice around the hotel itself.||We are walkers and had a hire car so we were out all day using this as our east coast base before a further 5 days in the west side of La Palma. Overall, this was a good base as there are not many choices in La Palma and the gardens, beach and swimming pool make this hotel stand out. I am not sure how this hotel will survive when the current elderly who take package holidays no longer come. They need some modernisation and of course, it needs to be easier to access La Palma from UK.

It has been an absolutely wonderful stay. We have travelled a lot, and we are rarely this sad to be returning home. Hacienda San Jorge has been a dream. The resort is beautiful, and even better than the pictures you can find online. The staff and service is impeccable, everyone is very friendly and helpful. I would especially like to mention Nevis, who works in the little supermarket in the resort, she is a lovely person and really made us feel welcome! The animals on the resort made the experience even more special.||Like other reviews mentioned previously, there is indeed no airconditioning in the rooms. We asked for two fans and this solved the issue.||The only thing we would like to see improved is the buffet dinner. We ate in the restaurant on our first evening, but we were surprised to notice that most of the food was cold, despite being placed under heaters.||However, overall this was a fantastic stay and we will be returning as soon as possible.

We came here fot the 13th time. Beautiful acommodation set in a tropical garden with seawater pool. Lola the parrot welcomes everyone. Excellant service, friendly and helpful staff, Beautiful apartments. Delicious food (buffet) with many choices, We have aklready booked again for May 2025.

Friendliest, warmest hospitality team we’ve ever met. Wonderful gardens around the pool, excellent beachfront location, convenient breakfast-dinner options. We’ve been here twice and wouldn’t hesitate coming a third time, if circumstances permit.
