Cool place it’s been here since 1683. The food was absolutely delicious. Would highly recommend it. We had: Sopa de Lima (Refreshing lime soup) Cochinita Pibil (Yucatán's famous slow-roasted pork) Papadzules (Egg-stuffed tortillas with pumpkin seed sauce) Flan for dessert. All great!

A place where you can be transported to another time, the architecture is cared and with good vibes. About the food, you can taste the local food and flavors, it was really delicious.

Highly recommend to get the full Merida experience. A very traditional place where local families go to eat. Traditional food very well prepared, original seasonal plates on the menu as well. The place to try out local food. We tried Polcanes Negros, they were extraordinary. Service very nice and friendly. Cocktails also very recommended! Dont miss out the local honey liquor Xtabentun, amazing in a carajillo.

Simply extraordinary! The service was the best we have experienced in Mexico, the food was fresh and tasty, we ate every last morsel. Choosing from the many options on the menu was the most difficult task. We had a chicken dish, a turkey dish, and a beef dish, all unique, all equally good. When you go, ask to be seated in the room overlooking the garden, so you can watch the deer and the peacocks putting up a show just for you. After you eat, make sure you visit the grounds, the ballroom, and the church. Great food, great service, great prices. The flan was the best choice for desert, and the best we ever had. Thank you for a memorable experience!

An amazing place. Walk around for a while, and see what quiet Hacienda life was like in 1683, then head for the dining room and get a wonderful meal for very affordable price. Don't forget to visit the gift shop, which has many, many wonderful things

Beautiful place to visit either by day or night. The food was absolutely delicious and the view of peacocks and dear from our table was breathtaking. Highly recommend you visit if you are ever in the area. The personal there are very welcoming. Hope to visit again soon.

One of the most beautiful "Haciendas" ranch near Mérida. There is an elegant restaurant and event venue.

Hacienda Teya is the perfect place to have authentic yucatec food. The Hacienda is gorgeous and so are its surroundings. It’s not far from Mérida and both, food and service are impeccable. It always amazes me that this food never upsets my stomach. I feel that food outside of the US in general is healthier, wholesome and fresher. Anything from the menu is delicious so worth the drive!

Yelp
We were in the Yucatán for a week long vacation. My boss use to live in Merida and he said we had to go here if we were in the area. It was the first non-tourist place we ate. We started with the guacamole con chorizo y cerado. It was excellent. It might have been better than either of the entrees. I got the Lechon con frijoles negras. It's what my boss told me to get. It was good. I'm not sure it was worth a special trip but it was good. My wife is a bit of a picky eater. She wanted to play it safe so she got the Empanadas and a coke americano. The empanadas had a white sauce on them. I don't think it was cheese. It tasted like some kind of puréed yuca or potato. Everyone was drinking this green drink. It looked like a grass shot. I asked the server and they said it's called Agua de Chaya. They had a couple flavors so I got limon. It had a mild flavor. It was almost like a watered down fruit smoothie. The building was pretty neat. I think it was an old plantation house with several levels. There was a nice courtyard in the middle that most of the tables have a view. The courtyard has deer and peacocks wandering around. That was something I hadn't seen before. There was venison on the menu so it made me wonder.

Yelp
The service was excellent. We came at 1 PM on a Tuesday and were done by 2 PM. The food was excellent and I loved the inside decor of the restaurant. I read a previous review that it was hot and humid but o noticed that in the hallway by the restroom a only. The dining area was comfortable temperature wise. I would recommend this restaurant.

Yelp
I've eaten a lot of Cochinita Pibil in my life. In and around Merida, this was the best. The fried plantains were a bit dry and the rice a bit plain but overall our meals were excellent. This is an old hacienda dating back to the late 1600s and is a great way to get out of the city and see something different. The service was great as well. Take some time to walk around the grounds. This is a beautiful place. Many famous people have been here as well. See the photos on the wall at the entrance/exit.

Yelp
Went here the first time on a Carnival Cruise excursion ....recently went back since I live in Merida now and OMG ! I got the Pescado en Salsa de X'catic. Amazing flavor and the fish was exceptionally fresh and flavorful. In combination with the rice and beans and plantain....WORTH THE DISTANCE .

Yelp
Be careful, think twice before putting a deposit down for an event. They refuse to refund our wedding deposit from the beginning of COVID, April 2020 after more than 2 years of pushing us off with promises of dealing with it later. Management is extremely unhelpful and shifty.

Yelp
Stopped here as part of a tour with Carnival Cruise Lines. We didn't get a wide sample of the menu, we were limited to pork tacos only... and they were pretty dang good! We also received flan and it was surprisingly tasty, to be honest... and I'm not a flan guy by any means. I will say - don't spend the extra money on a margarita, I paid $7 for one and it was surprisingly bland... I'm not sure that's even possible. It was also small... aim, not worth $7. The place absolutely has an authentic feel to it, and I'm sure dining here is nice otherwise. If I had more time or was by myself, I'd give the larger menu a try and see what else is out there. As part of a very brief stop, however, the food was good.

Yelp
An unexpected treat near Mérida. Bright setting and cheerful service. Tasty food, for sure. A great place to stop on the road.

Yelp
We spent New Year's Eve 2019 at this place. Food was ok. Ambiance ok. However, the band sucked, we couldn't hear what the heck they were singing. If you are looking for a tropical ambiance this is the wrong place. Try a different venue. DJ was excellent, except that he played only for an hour , then the freaking band Came back and killed it.

Yelp
My son was studying Spanish in Merida and we took his host parents along with ll of our own family members to dinner. The service was outstanding with multiple waiters. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. We had both beer and wine and had many choices. We were there at night so we could not see the grounds, but the dining room itself has many historical features. A wonderful place to properly thank the host parents of my son
