We were 7 couples, on a tour of Northern Spain and Portugal in our sports cars. We were the only guests. We were well looked after by chef Miguel and his assistant Maria Jose. They worked so hard, and were the only staff apparent.||Miguel provided excellent meals, and was attentive and communicative.||The pool was pretty cold, but very refreshing!||It seemed a little strange that there was no bar available during our visit.||The wine harvest began at 4 in the morning of our last night, but we had received prior warning about this, and were not much disturbed.||On our checkout day a room with television was made available to us to watch the funeral of Queen Elizabeth/Isabel.

A lovely hotel surrounded by vineyards and a river. The staff is really friendly and always willing to help. We had a large room situated on the first floor with river side view. We really enjoyed the wine tasting and relaxing in the quiet hotel garden. Our arrival was just perfect! The food was amazing! Breakfast, lunch and dinner were really delicious. We strongly recommend this wonderful hotel and hope to visit it again someday. Kind regards, Reanne and Niek P.S. Don't forget to buy some bottles of their great Spanish cava to relive the moment at home.

Unamuno is in a rural location in the middle of a vineyard. We arrived at harvest time and where able to experience the harvest with a tour of the winery. The hotel is modern and very comfortable and clean. As it was out of season it was very quiet we vurtually had the place to ourselves that suited us but would not suit familys. There are some lovely areas to explore and the proximity to Portugal and the Duero river add to this.

Wonderful little winery outside of Salamanca. Hotel rooms were very spacious and they had the best beds of any of the hotels we're stayed in during our stay. Wine was great and the staff was very friendly.

Fantastic venue with superb dining & own produced wine. Close to Douro River for cruises & Salamanca walled city. The in room wine cellar was a great surprise and we rose to the challenge. The Olive Oil tasting was unusual but surprisingly informative

A former monastery now a hotel. The hacienda is in the countryside. A fabulous hotel it dates from 1366. Some of the rooms are former monk cells, giving you a taste of monastic life. The breakfast is well worth it, with farm fresh food. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. They produce good Spanish wine, olive oil & cheese. The property has the oldest sequoias in Europe. If you go to Salamanca stay here.

Visited Hacienda Zorita as part of a Secret Escapes deal. The individual bungalow accommodation was really comfortable and the food and drink in both the restaurant and the 'cafeteria' were excellent quality and value for money This review would have been 5 stars IF the rooms had tea and coffee making facilities and if the bar staff didn't need quite so much tracking down to order a drink. Overall a magical place and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it don't be fooled the cafeteria is a spectacular room with luxurious sofas where local snacks and wine and bar meals can be ordered. The homemade pizzas are to die for Special thanks to Bethlin who welcomed us on arrival and the bar man who recommended a visit to Miranda de Dora.

We went as part of the Berberana free deal. It was a long drive from Madrid on a Friday night, as they are only open Friday & Saturday. We arrived just too late for the restaurant, but they provided tapas and wine, which was really appreciated after a long journey.||||The location and surrounding countryside are stunning, and the rooms and amenities are outstanding||||Food in the restaurant was excellent, both at breakast and dinner, and the local wine was good and reasonably priced||||Would love to stay again, but unless passing as part of a longer journey, probably never will
