Haciendas Village Tenerife

My husband and I are just back from a fantastic 10 night stay here. Check in was extremely straight forward, we had booked through a 3rd party but received all the relevant information from Haciendas prior to our arrival. I did also email them prior to arriving with some questions and sometimes they were prompt other times I had to chase up a reply. The bungalow was extremely clean, spacious and equipped with everything we needed for our stay. We had fresh towels and bedding twice which was more than enough for us and we received cleaners both of those times which was a nice touch, wouldn’t have expected that being self catering. A few things to point out… if you don’t like a firm mattress like us. you may find it difficult to sleep but we understand you won’t always get what you’re used to/like. The en-suite and seperate wc did have an off pointing smell of sewage, the smell came and went each day, we didn’t bring this up to reception as we didn’t want to have work men/staff in during our holiday, just want to point this out as it may out people off. We did only ever use the en-suite so kept the door to the seperate wc closed over. The complex is on a hill and there are a LOT of stairs, which was fine for us but people with young children, buggies or mobility issues etc. may not find this suitable. The complex being a bit further out didn’t bother us as most mornings we would walk down to Puerto colon and back, it’s a gorgeous walk especially down at the port. On a positive there are lots of lovely cafes/restaraunts close by, we didn’t always feel the need to head further in to get something to eat, all the places we tried were excellent. There are a few supermarkets close by for essentials however we did find walking a bit further to ‘’mercadona’ was cheaper, we walked down and back up with bags but if you were looking to to do a big shop a taxi might be better. This location is perfect for relaxing, extremely quiet at all times of day, the area didn’t feel too touristy, which we preferred. All in all it was a brilliant holiday and we would return again.

Great apartments. Little out of town but 5 minutes in a taxi takes you home from town if you dont fancy the walk up the hill. Everything about the complex is 10/10. The staff are lovely, the apartments are spacious and spotless and have everything you need to enjoy a self catering holiday.

We’ve just enjoyed a 3 week stay at Haciendas Village. It is in a good location with a few good cafes, bars and restaurants within a few minutes walk. We highly recommend Bellavista (directly opposite) and Zena if you like Italian food. Also Hemingways & cafe Deli are great for brunch, with good service. We also loved the Toby pub 2 minutes down the hill, which is very popular with the local ex.pats. We found the walk over the motorway down to the main centre of adeje no problem and quicker than some reviews suggest. We stayed in a deluxe one bed apartment with extra large terrace which was spacious and well equipped. The terrace is excellent with a really comfy hammock to supplement the sun beds. For most of the day facing the sun is not exactly a sea view until the early evening as the sun sets, but nice all the same. All one bedroom apartments have sofa beds so will attract families, and these are not particularly comfortable for sitting on, and all are in two storey blocks, so if you are unlucky enough to have a very noisy family of four staying above you (as we did for half our time) it will spoil your stay. The walls do not seem well insulated and there is a strange shared outdoor space (closed off only by a glass door) which make it feel like you are actually sharing the same apartment with those above you at times. This will 100% put us off booking the same type of apartment again which is a shame. Staff are welcoming and the pool area is nice. We also had no power on arrival and it wasn’t fixed properly till the next morning which was very disappointing. Someone attended and did a part fix but it then went off again after reception was closed which meant we had no power for the first night. Not having anyone on reception after 5.30pm can be an issue in this respect as we encountered one couple who were having difficulty accessing their apartment (which is via. lock boxes) after arriving in the evening. But overall we enjoyed our stay and the accommodation offers great value for money.

The apartments were excellent quality, large bathrooms, large living area with good cooking facilities and a washing machine provided. Location was also good and the pool area by main reception was heated with plenty of sun loungers. A few things to mention though. Towels were only provided fresh once per week. There is no on site entertainment in the evenings for family's of young children, the rooms have no air conditioning although fans were provided for the bedroom and living room area. The staff were curteous and helpful although the on site bar wasnt well stocked. For meals and evenings out there is a traditional pub about 5min walk down the hill, and a restaurant opposite the complex. Costa Adeje main area is a good 15min walk but plenty on offer to suit most needs.

The first 10 days were amazing and we were even maybe looking at dates to return next year and hiring the villa again. However we will not return again unless it was absolutely certain that they will no longer hire villas or rooms to GROUPS OF YOUNG PEOPLE. It is even advertised on the website as || 'A little oasis in Costa Adeje, Tenerife, that offers exclusivity, privacy and tranquillity with its apartments, bungalows and villas. Ideal for families and couples'||So imagine my horror on the 10th day when a group of 5 young guys arrived and were put in the room next door. What followed was 3 sleepless nights due to noise and partying which not only kept my wife and I awake but also my children.||On the first night there was loud music and when I spoke to the group they did apologise and turn off the music but remained loud keeping us awake till 2am. |The next night was identical apart from no music but they were particularly loud outside the room on there balcony area which is right outside my children's room and my children tried to use earphones to block out the noise and get some sleep but this did not work. The last night was the worst and we only got 4 hours sleep as they kept us awake till 1.30am when they went out but on there return at 5.50am they were extremely loud and woke us all up again when they continued there night out on the balcony at 6am in the morning.||We complained continually to reception every morning as no one there at night. They said the group would receive a final warning and be thrown out with no refund if they continued. I told them this did not help me or my family who had not been able to sleep for the last 3 nights and was really ruining the holiday as we were all tired. As we had one more night I said I could not have another sleepless night as we were traveling the next day and would not get home till 2.30am so needed to get sleep. The solution was we had to pack everything up and move to another villa to ensure a good nights sleep which was a hassle but the alternative was no sleep.||The sound proofing between Villa 407 and room 408 is also non existent it literally was like having the group in the master bedroom as you could hear everything which I have provided feedback needs to be rectified.||As I said at the beginning I don't think I would return here as Villa 407 is not exactly a cheap stay and definitely did not think I would be sharing a room with a group of young men who were up all night. It really did ruin our holiday which we have paid a lot of money for and have asked for compensation due to the owners allowing the booking of this room to inappropriate groups but have yet to hear.

We stayed here for two weeks at the back end of July, and what a fabulous two weeks we had. We were in the Hacienda IV part of the village, and the apartment was very spacious. If you are like our family, we do not like to be all cramped into one room. ||We paid for the extra large terrace, which was huge. We had family staying in FG Fanabe and had all ten of them over for food and drinks one evening, and there was still plenty of room. The kitchen is well equipped and easy to use.||Hacienda is set a bit back from the beach front and would take approximately twenty minutes to walk, which isn't too bad on the way there as it was all downhill. On the way back, it was a bit of a killer, but we managed it most night. On a couple of nights, we got a taxi, and it was just over €5. ||Things that let Hacienda down.....||Pools, over at Hacienda IV, there are to small pools with 9 beds around them, making it 18 in total. Bare in mind there are 49 rooms with most having a minimum of 4 people per room, from what we saw. Then the main pool outside the reception is about 30 beds, but again, the main hotel had more rooms again. Hacienda state when checking in that you are not to reserve beds, but on multiple days, we were left without a bed whilst some people had towels on beds and didn't return for 3 hours plus. Which no one polices. So, for us this let it down.||Another thing that let it down was 2 incidents involving staff. On the first night we arrived, reception was shut, so we rang the emergency number for out of hours as we had an issue and needed help. We were told someone would be with us within 2 hours, which wasn't ideal, but we waited, and no one turned up. When I tried to ring them back, the emergency contact number had been turned off and was going straight to voicemail. ||The second incident was booking a taxi at reception as we were leaving in the early hours. I asked for one at 3am, which the fella behind reception looked at me like he'd never had that request before. He took my room number and said he would book it. But I left not feeling convinced. Anyway, we got to the pick-up point at 2:45am and waited until 3:30am for no taxi to turn up. Thankfully, I'd kept a taxi card from a previous journey and was able to contact them myself, but at the cost of using my phone abroad. ||Would I return to Hacienda again, I'd say yes, but only for the fact or the spacious rooms and terrace.

We had a good holiday and the apartments did meet our needs but they are not for everyone, if you have a young family with pushchairs or if you are not a mobile as you used to be then you will struggle with the stairs.|We arrived late at night and although we had all the details for entry and a map to our apartment, it was not easy to find where we were staying. Firstly we were dropped off on the main road and there were no clear signs to the apartments. Getting to the main gate and then realising we were at the other block was frustrating, not to mention lugging 3 suitcases up numerous flights of stairs. We are fit and able people but it was tough in that heat & humidity. Had we not met a couple already staying there, we would have taken a lot longer to find our apartment. Better signage outside and within the complex would help.|The apartment itself was great and had everything we needed. We loved the large balcony and spent many days soaking up the sun in the comfort of our own space. The apartment is large and airy but does need air con. There were 2 fans that helped but it was very warm at nights. The bathroom was large and having an extra toilet was a bonus but the smell from the drains was really bad at times. The bedroom was large and bed comfy but lacked a full length mirror, or even a mirror at the dressing table.|The WiFi was excellent and no issues and having the access to Netflix, Disney etc was good (wee tip - remember and log out of your account before you leave!!)|The pools in our block were functional but a little bit tired looking. In fact you could probably say that about the complex, which goes against the modern and well finished apartments. I would assume this is a work in progress but I would say that the complex was clean.|The coded gates were a bit of a faff at times and temperamental in taking the code but I understand the need for them.|We knew we were a bit away from the main areas of the resort and that was fine as we like to walk but be prepared for a long walk - probably around 20-25 minutes to the main areas. Ok on the way down but the hills on the way back and the stairs kept us fit! There is a taxi rank close by and regular taxis but we didn't use them. There are some pubs/restaurants/cafe's close by but much. Aqualand is minutes away by foot and Siam Park a 20 minute walk.|The trade off for the walking distance is the views - we had a brilliant sea view from our balcony and it was nice watching the sun set. If you look the other way, you see the ragged mountains, again stunning to see.|I think with a bit of TLC around the complex and better signage, it would make the experience better, plus the wee things in the room.|We probably would stay again and if you want the true self catering experience, then the rooms are perfect. However, if you can't easily manage the stairs then I would suggest you request a room on the ground floor.

Dear all|On December 18th, I was scheduled to stay with my family (my wife and our 5-month-old daughter) at Haciendas Villas Tenerife.||Before arrival, I contacted the accommodation three times—both directly and through Airbnb—to request a crib for our baby. This was not an unusual request, as a crib was explicitly advertised as available, which was also one of the key reasons we selected this accommodation. Unfortunately, none of these requests were acknowledged. Upon arrival, there was no crib provided.||While this may seem like a minor issue at first glance, for a 5-month-old baby this represents a serious safety concern. Without a proper crib, there is a real risk of injury, and this is not something parents can reasonably improvise or accept. (Just for context - our daughter ended up sleeping on the floor - of course whole night woke up). ||Despite the accomodation has "emergency" contact - they told us that after reception closes - they can t do anything for us. Means - check in is at 4PM! and they close 5.30 PM - means if you arrive at 5 PM you have no chance to solve anything. ||For me this was a really start that makes to say: Never more||Tomas
