"Young Nightlife This is one of the most hectic and lively courtyards in Berlin . Located in Mitte, it is named after the Hackeschen Market, which is across the street. As in many of Berlin's courtyards, the building complex around it consists of offices, businesses, factories, and apartment buildings. In this specific one sits a well-known movie theater, which makes it even busier. As this was the first courtyard and quite successful, today there are eight other courtyards between Rosenthal and the Sophienstraße. All around the courtyards, you'll find numerous bars, restaurants, and clubs. The area has become one of the coolest places to go at night."

Very interesting street indeed! Berlin city is famous for its wall paintings and graffiti. But this particular street is a very happening place. Proud this place are good shopping opportunities. And when you're done with the work, you can find wonderful joints, cafes and small eating places.

From bars to coffee shops to shopping. You can spend a couple of hours exploring and end up at a bar having a beer. It looks cute at night and the rain made it more beautiful! There’s also this hall full of stickers and street art that takes you to Kiko Central, a nice lot of you want to take some Instagram pictures.

Vibe of a small local community, little market place with, fruit&veggies stands and some with clothing, jewellery, bags... Cafés in the vicinity. Pleasant and cozy

A truly special spot in Berlin, one of a kind! Go early, as soon as the shops open, and you’ll have the courtyards all to yourself. It’s fun to see how each courtyard has its own unique atmosphere and style. If you want to explore the other courtyards in the area as well, you can easily spend an entire morning or afternoon here!

Few inneryards interconnected together with cafes, shops, cinema. Actually people live here, so its a bit like entering a cool community. Pretty quiet and slow in the morning.

Overrun with tourists, but interesting to see. Very limited food choices.

Best spot in Berlin for me. I love this place - especially also the small bars in the artistic side roads. It’s an absolute must visit!

Yelp
Personally, I rather like the small theaters that also show arthouse movies. The stairs up onto the 4th floor are a bit tedious and nothing for the disabled, but where else can you enjoy a movie this high up? Everything else was perfectly summed up by Lila1113.

Yelp
We really enjoyed this theater. It's a bit hard to find as it's inside of the courtyard on the fourth (or so) floor of a cream building (on your left hand side). The seats were comfortable and service was pleasant. Only downside is that the popcorn that was offered was sweet as opposed to savory.

Yelp
This is one of my favourite movie theatres in Berlin. They've always got a lovely selection of art films playing in original version, with or without subtitles. There are plenty of options even for the non-German speaking audiences. The theatre itself is also great with a warm atmosphere. The snack and beverage options are good. It's a great place to go see a film!

Yelp
This is a good theater to see films in the original version with German subtitles. So many of the films in Berlin show films dubbed in German, which to me is unnatural and strange looking. Or they might be in OV but without subtitles. For the the best experience, it should be"OV OmU". Theatres in Hakesher Hof are good, but small. Highly recommended.

Yelp
This is a very nice cinema in the middle of the town. You can watch most movies in original version with subtitles. A warm atmosphere will reward you when you have climbed up the stairs. Not as crowded as in blockbuster cinemas. Good selection of drinks and ice cream. And an even better selection of films.

Yelp
"Indie" does not mean "crap". it should mean more sensibility and attention towards what they offer, but this is not the case. guys, why do you try to manage something that you are clearly not able to do? a friend and I tried to watch a movie here, coming ten minutes before the movie started. We waited around 15 minutes on the starcase because the cashier had to think about selling pop corn and other stuff, too. so, you can not chose your seats and it seems that you can not even watch the movie you'd like on time, because a huge line (4 people totally) requires all the efforts of the unpolite cashier. what's the end of the story? the mivie already started when our turn came and pop corn was out. Luckily we sympathized with other guys in the queue about how surreal the situation was and we went together to drink a beer.
