Marvelous collection of historical buildings in a beautiful landscape location. Took advantage of the Gardener's World 2 for 1 admission offer tickets. Thoroughly enjoyed the guided talks in different rooms. A later lunch was excellent value for quality food and drinks. Well worth visiting again.

Amazingly well preserved medieval hall. If you visit on Mondays there are free guided tours, our guide was both fun and informative. Would definitely recommend the restaurant as well, great home made food at a reasonable price.

Such a fun visit. Loved seeing the place where so many films have been set, and learning about the castle's true history. Well-worth the visit; make sure to go outside and walk around the peaceful gardens.

We visited here recently during the week whilst staying nearby. It was a really enjoyable visit, very interesting looking round the hall with all its history. The grounds and gardens were beautiful and very relaxing.

Haddon Hall is an incredibly atmospheric, medieval, Tudor and Elizabethan house set in beautiful gardens. Because of it's great age, everything is wonky and uneven, inside and out, I do not think it is very suitable for those with mobility issues, but it does add to the character of the place. There is a history talk from one of the staff at various times throughout the day, presented in a humourous and very enthusiastic style it is a must see, as it really brings the history of the house to life. The only reason I didn't give it a five is because at £28 it is one of the more expensive places I have visited, but I did really enjoy it.

A fascinating place to visit, if you love historic houses you'll love this place. Our visit coincided with a fabulous roaring log fire being lit in the Great Hall, and a wonderful choir singing in the long gallery. The gardens are amazing with far-reaching views. There was something of interest in each area of the building from the church, little museum, medieval kitchens and the whole house. The history talks were really interesting. Definitely recommend, however good to fair mobility is needed when visiting

Amazing medieval property unspoiled by Victorian updating. So original. Well worth a visit. No picnic facilities and no picnics allowed in the grounds though.

Haddon is nothing less than Magnificent, it is also one of the oldest houses of its kind in Britain, being a fortified manor house. It has a history of 900 years & is unusual in that the same family line have lived here for all that time. Take your time when touring the house, although there are no opulent furnishings, there are still many details within the property that are worth taking in. There is no longer a huge estate, although there is an ancient woodland, although access is limited. There is also an excellent tearoom/restaurant in the stable block. If you are a member of Historic Houses, you can get in the house for free. I thoroughly recommend a visit to this impressive property.
