Haeundae Traditional Market is a lively and colourful place to walk around, with many stalls selling a wide variety of items, from local snacks and street food to souvenirs and everyday goods. The atmosphere is energetic and fun, making it enjoyable to explore and try different foods. However, it does feel more like a tourist attraction than a traditional local market, with prices and products clearly tailored for visitors. Still, it’s a nice spot to experience the busy market vibe while in the area.

This market is packed with energy- a perfect mix of locals and travelers wandering through narrow aisles filled with seafood, hotteok stands, and small restaurants. The food was amazing, especially the famous busan hotteok. Everyone was friendly and ready to hand you samples. It’s lively but not overwhelming, and you can tell it’s still a local favorite, not just a tourist stop. It’s the kind of place where you eat as you go, hopping from one vendor to another, tasting everything.

Always a nice route for a foodie to visit local market for the night. There are plenty of local delights that you can only try in Korea and Busan. May not the very easy for tourist for find out which one is the best but just follow where the queue is and it might help.

Located just a short walk from our stay in Haeundae, this night market was a lively spot filled with both tourists and locals. The best way to find great food here is to follow the local queues — that’s where the real gems are. Stalls line both sides of the street, with small snacks near the entrance, seafood stalls in the middle, and more snacks toward the end. One seafood pancake shop in particular had a long line every night. We made a special trip back the next evening just to try it. They only serve one type of pancake, freshly pan-fried by elderly staff. Though the service is minimal — no small talk or eye contact — the steady stream of locals speaks for itself. At the far end, there’s a popular Korean street food shop where you can either dine in or take away. Again, long lines, but worth trying. The market itself isn’t very big and not the cleanest, but as a tourist, it’s definitely worth a stroll after dinner for a taste of local flavor and street life.

Since my last visits, I have came to appreciate this market a big more. Food stalls open up at around noodle and gets to most busy in the evening. If you want to eat and do not want the crowd, come in the day time instead. There are some good food around, read review carefully and you should have a pretty good idea. Plenty of food options so you can come back a few times and still won’t get bored.

Check this place out! It’s called Hasuki’s snack - The sweetest lady selling the most delicious cast-iron grilled squid 🦑 perfectly seasoned, never too salty, and cooked to absolute perfection! It’s the best beach snack you can find in Haeundae — grab a pack, a cold beer, and enjoy it by the ocean. Highly recommend this little gem!
